Waking up in her bed, sluggish from being drugged, still single, and shocked senseless to be the surrogate mother of four little boys, Anabel returns home from Vegas swearing off destination weddings as much too stressful.

Upon discovering that Luke has a past he forgot to share with her about the kidnapper-killer-wannabe vampire, Kyle Koch, Anabel questions if her fiancé will ever get the concept of partnership.

Will Anabel take a chance to place her future happiness in the hands of a man with trust issues, even if those hands are magical?

Anabel and Luke’s relationship will soon be put to the test, and it will be trust or bust when the couple has to survive facing the demons from Luke’s past, the Tasmanian devil in Anabel’s family, and the hellishly darker side of parenting!

Part steamy romance, part thrilling suspense, and altogether laugh out loud hilarious, after reading Coupled with Chance, you may never look at relationships between couples, families, and friends quite the same way again!

*This steamy contemporary romance series was written for the entertainment of an adult audience.

Five stars until the final chapter. Something happened in the last chapter. (NO spoilers so you can keep reading).

All of the books in the Adventures of Anabel Axelrod series have non-stop laughter, action, tension, family drama, witty rejoinders, etc. That being said, I was blindsided by the ending. Following the last chapter, Ellen, the author, jumped the action to three years later and began an epilogue. What is up with that?

I re-read the ending twice (thinking I had missed things by reading late into the night to finish the book). Nope, it still left me hanging. I felt robbed. So many story lines left me dangling and wondering "what happened with...?" This was disappointing which was the first time that has happened since reading one of the adventures with Anabel. In fact, I waited a week before writing my review hoping I might change my opinion.

The ending was two stars. The book receives a rating of 4 stars based on 9/10 of the book.

4 Amazing Anabel Stars. I love this series. I was a little concerned the direction that Tracy Ellen would take after the way the last book ended, but she did a wonderful job of staying true to Anabel's and Luke's characters. I am curious, though as to how she'll do book seven. According to the preview given at the end of Coupled with Chance, book seven will be about getting Anabel to the altar. However, the epilogue to this one was "three years later." I'm also wondering about the kids. Hmmm...

OK, while this book didn't seem to have quite as much action and intrigue as the previous ones, it still had plenty of adventure. The entire book happened in about the span of a week and it was a busy week. After coming home from Vegas and their disastrous non-wedding, Luke is determined to get Anabel to commit to a date. There is very little that is tied up from Vegas as far as Mr G and Kyle Koch. Luke is moving ahead on his business and Anabel is still reeling from the death of Darcy and Arthur and how she's going to handle becoming an instant parent to the A-Team.

As you'd expect, there are plenty of laughs, adventure, and trouble for Anabel. This series remains one of my favorites.

Loved It

There isn't much more to say. Coupled with Chance is a great addition to the series. Where Anabel stays the same pretending to be a bubble head blonde we get to see she has brains and maturity. Not to mention she has the perfect man. I felt we really got to see the whole Luke package in this book. He wasn't tricky or a dark Prince. He is a man in love wanting the world to know. Every time he says Anabel, Anabel I think how can I get my husband to be like that. I am so happy there will be more adventures to read. Can't wait for the next one.

Another great Anabel book. I was a little worried after the last book ended about what was going to happen and it didn't disappoint at all. Great solution to Anabels current problem. I do wish a little more happened though. I didn't really feel like a whole lot went on in this book. Maybe it's because so much goes on in some of the other Anabel books. Still a great addition though! And of course, loved Luke like usual. Definitely my favorite book boyfriend.

I love Anabel and Luke but was worried I would not like where I thought the story was heading after the last book. I love love that the author stayed true to Anabels character. I could not put this book down and finished in a day.

I really enjoyed this book. I feel like the character of Anabel really grew up in this book. I like how supportive Luke and her family and friends are and I love the different adventures Anabel goes on. Also, any time there is an interaction with her evil cousin, Candy, I cannot help but laugh.

Great ending!

I love this series! It's always fun to see what trouble Anabel is going to get herself into next, especially when she tries to avoid it! Luke is as dreamy as ever too!

Oh Tracey, Tracey, what have you done to me, your books have hypnotised me, I can't get enough of Annabelle and Luke's steaming, sexy love story.  From the perilous, mysterious escapades to the sultry, steaming hot passion and the flirtatious love and delicious mouth-watering food,  this set of books has captured me from the very first page.  From the moment I came across your first book I was totally smitten, every waking moment, morning until night I have raced through each book in the series.  Tracey you have drawn me in so that I feel like I am one of Annabelle's sisters and I am living in her crazy, beautiful, hilarious world, sharing in the love and passion of their hot, ripped men and enveloped by the love and caring nanabel, the all seeing godmother, Jamie and sexist, opinionated police chief, Jack Banner.  I love how luke interacts saucily with Annabelle and so envious of Annabelle's hilarious and flippant repartee and the banter with which all the family members have when they all get together.  This series has spoilt me, it is a hard act to follow, how can I read and enjoy any other books written by any other author now Tracey?

If you're looking for a great book, I highly recommend this series. Anabel is hilarious with all of her AWOL'ing and her propensity for getting into trouble. Thankfully she has her family and a smokin' hot, ex-special forces fiance to keep her out of trouble.

I received an arc from the author.

This sixth installment of Bel's adventures is another great read from Ms. Ellen with the continued wit and sassiness from the characters we've come to know and love. While some big story lines are resolved, I feel plenty others have only just been introduced and some not resolved at all, like the wedding and the mobster! It seemed like a lot of the new happenings in the story felt rushed and too short. The descriptions were plentiful and paints a great scene, but the story felt incomplete and like they were only small parts of a whole.

I always enjoy reading about Bel's childhood, Bel's interactions with her loved ones and the conversations in her head. Ms. Ellen will be writing stories from the point of views of other characters in Bel's world, but I hope she will continue to write full novels or novelettes in Bel's voice. Even though the timeline is now current, this installment feels incomplete, so I hope there will be more books from Bel's point of view . The majority of the story takes place in a day or so, and so much happened in her life that it's like she's the female version of Jack Bauer.

I look forward to reading Ms. Ellen's next story.

I never read reviews for books I like in a series until after I’ve read them myself. This is one of my favorites in the series by far. Perhaps it’s just that I’ve truly fallen in love with Anabel, Luke and the others to the extent that I just can’t let them go.

Each book is like watching a professional poker game filled with bluffs, blinds and waiting for the other players to blink. It’s the ultimate game of chicken. Just when I think I know where the story is headed, it shifts and surprises me again.

I don’t like to read reviews that share too much of the storyline because it just ruins the experience for me. I’m honestly shaking my head at the people who didn’t like the “style” of this book, or were upset by the ending. There are plenty of other authors who can tie things up in pretty, happy little bows for you. I prefer the smart, sexy, and surprising dialogue that makes me laugh out loud and continues to build on the emotion-laden relationships that have developed, without becoming nauseatingly trite.

If you like smart writing, turn the page and hang on for a wild ride. The “gesture war”, started by Anabel and John Smith at the dinner table, is in itself worth the price of admission.

I agree with the other reviewers that this installment is different than the other books in the series so far, but I was far from disappointed. The ending is what really has me going crazy. Yes, crazy! I tossed and turned one night because I need to know more about this Cleo character. I understand that I possibly have issues since I am becoming so absorbed in Anabel’s world, but that’s what happens when you come across such a talented author. Anyways…I really hope the series continues long enough for me to find out more about this mysterious Cleo.

There is a bit less action in this book, but so much more Luke, a trade-off I will never complain about. You can tell that this book was the calm before the storm. Something is going to happen in the next book, and it is going to be good—especially when I have a feeling this is when Your Turn will take place. :-) I can’t wait to see what happens to that nasty Kochsucker as well as that damn Crazy. I also can’t wait for more development on the new guys in town. We can always use more hot guys in Anabel’s world!

Coming clean

Although I am not disappointed in how Tracy Ellen decided to write book #6, I feel there was a certain "air" missing from it that thus far all the rest had. Things happened and there was drama...canoodling, butt shooting, and new hottie's for my imagination. However, I feel like there was more focus on "clearing the air" being done and with the ending... I was robbed!

I need my own Luke :-)

I do so love Anabel! I never fail to be amused by this series, not to mention that I fall in love with Luke a little more with each book as the depth of his connection to Anabel continues to be revealed. This book was a bit more emotion than danger, but I still couldn't stop reading. I was truly surprised with how things turned out and Anabel's resilient solution. She is a woman of many talents. This is a super sexy series with a cast of totally quirky characters I can't get enough of.

What are Anabel and Luke going to do with 4 boys, all under the age of 4? Anabel's friends died in a car accident and named her their legal guardian. Luke is leaving the decision up to Anabel. What happens with crazy ex-cousin Candy?

The first five books take place at the end of 2012. This book brings us up to the present. As usual, you laugh and cry with Anabel's antics.

Highly recommend for anyone over 18. I highly recommend reading the books in order. "A Date with Fate" is free.
