Wow!!! That book was really good... and it kept me a lovely company!!!
While i was reading "Right where you are" before some months, i was catching myself wondering about Ryan and i really wanted to learn more about him...
And when i saw on NetGalley that the author had written his story too, i was so excited!!!

Ryan had got into me when he wasn't the main character of he book, imagine how much he could get into me in his own book!!!
And yep, he did it!!!

"As far as goodbyes went, I already knew this one was going to be the best and worst of my life."

L.E. Bross continues to impress me with her stunning, sexy and emotional heartfelt second chance romance stories. In the second installment to the Second Chances Series, Ms. Bross douses her readers on another sweet and tangible second chance romance that will set hearts ablaze with an unforgettable and palpable tale of love and sacrifices

When Ryan was 15, he was in love with his childhood friend, Tess. They were as close as could be until Tess's grandma got sick and she had to move and live with her father. At first, they kept in contact but slowly Tess stopped returning his calls and he realized that she wasn't going to come back. A couple months later, his mom left and didn't look back. Ryan swore off relationships because he didn't want to get hurt again. Now, Tess is back and she has a little boy with her. The big life she l ...more

It was a nice reading during holidays you know when you don't have much time BUT you don't want to abandon your books so you find some time here and there...;)
I liked the story and Tess&Ryan and of course Noah...who wouldn't...? he was a cutie! The story wasn't something special but I liked the writing and it was duo POV which I love in books.

This book is about Tess a young girl who is trying to study and take care of her younger brother Noah. But her father who is an asshole

This is my second read by Bross in almost as many months and I have to say, she knows how to write, sweet, fun, and even emotional reads that are great for a long weekend when you just want to get away without having to leave the comfort of home.

This book hit me in the feels. It was so hard not to fall in love with all of them, sweet little Noah, good hearted Ryan and hard working, loyal Tess, I even liked grumpy Pops, all the characters were just so much fun and so darn endearing.

Whatever It Takes is the sequel to Right Where You Are by L.E. Bross. This is the author's first New Adult series and I have only one thing to say about that: Please keep writing these NA books!

Ryan was a character from the first book that I was hoping to learn more about and I got what I asked for. He shies away from commitment, mostly because Tess, the love of his teenage life, left with her dad and never looked back. Then, almost immediately after, his mother w

We all wish for second chances at something. But to be given a chance at the love who got away is truly a gift. From the moment I started reading this new release, I knew I was in for some heartbreak, some tears and hopefully a wonderful story along the way. I was not wrong.

I have to admit, I fell for Ryan from the beginning. He is the good guy. Sweet and endearing. His heart was broken by Tess when they were young but he realizes he just cannot stay away. She has changed even though people thin

I think I may be in love with Ryan!! I really liked his character in Right Where You Are and was ecstatic to find out he was getting his own book!

Ryan's the savior and protector. He takes care of his father after his mom up and left them years ago, he has been there for Seth through everything he went through, he's just one of the good guys. When he runs into Tess, the girl who broke his heart years ago, he knows he should turn away and forget her, but he's still drawn to the girl who stole his

This is the second book in Bross's second chances series and while I loved the first book I didn't totally fall in love with this one the way I wanted to.

Ryan doesn't do serious relationships because of when his mother left when he was 16 and the girl he loved left as well for different reasons. Now that he is successful fun if just what he needs and wants well that is until he sees the girl who broke his heart.

Tess's dreams didn't have raising her 4 year old brother Noah by herself but dr

A cute little story about first love and second chances! I LOVED every minute of it!!!

This is the story of Ryan and Tess. Tess and Ryan are childhood sweethearts that were separated after Tess moved away to live with her father. After running in to each other at a supermarket, the two start start spending more time together and the old flame is once again burning bri

Oh, Ryan! *flails*

I had a bit of a secondary character crush on Ryan when I first met him in Right Where You Are. He was such a solid presence, a good friend and sexy as hell.

It turns out all those things remain true, but that was only part of the story. Ryan has a hero complex. He’s smarting over some pretty significant damage done by his parents—who both basically checked out on him in their own way. On top of that, his first love disappeared off the face of the earth without so much as a Dea

So I have also previously received "Right Where You Are" as an ARC and loooooooved that book and the characters and overall the whole meaning of second chances and being able to right your wrongs or to get chances and figure out your "what ifs?!" This book right here focuses on Ryan and Tess. We of course meet Ryan in the first book and al though he had very wild ways you couldn't help but want

Whatever It Takes was a well written, emotional, sweet second chance love story, loved it.

Both Ryan and Tess were likable characters you could relate to and sympathise with their daily battles.

I enjoyed watching Ryan and Tess's emotional ride to their HEA, it took time for them to open up and forgive past hurts. They had such a strong connection, loved their passion and their chemistry was off the charts!

Another huge plus for me was Noah, Tess's little 3 almost 4 yr old brother. That lit

Loved it!! Great story of two strong, determined characters that are willing to do whatever it takes to care for the ones they love. Tess and Ryan where young sweethearts but when she moved away to live with her dad they grew apart but neither has forgotten the other. Now she's back with a world of responsibility on her shoulders. Ryan is rolling through life. Caring for his father is the only responsibility he can carry right now. When he sees Tess again for the first time in years though he ca ...more

This was a one sit read for me. I had initially hoped that this would be a continuation of the Seth and Avery story but I really loved that we got to follow Ryan as he navigates a new relationship with his first love. This is very similar to the first in that both characters are troubled by life and have secrets they are hiding. All in all I liked this - the story was well paced and everyone loves a happy ending. When I requested this novel, I didn't realize it was a companion novel to Right Where You Are, which I read (also from NetGalley) in October 2015. Then Avery and Seth were put into the novel and was pleasantly surprised that I got to read about Ryan's story!

I didn't love this book as much as I did the first one in this series but it was so sweet and Noah will steal your heart that it's a must read.

Ever since I was introduced to Ryan in, Right Where You Are, I wanted, no NEEDED his own book. Ryan doesn't do relationships and knowing that his first one true love will be brought back was a HELL YES in my book. I love second chance love stories!

I was excited to read this after Avery and Seth's story. Ryan and Tess's story was great!

Tess and Ryan met as young kids when she moves in with her grandmother in a trailer park. Ryan is what Tess's father would call "trailer park trash" so when her grandmother dies Tess's father wants her away from Ryan and on the Ivy League path he has planned for her.

Events in both Ryan and Tess's lives affect their paths and Ryan is now taking over his father's construction business while taking care of his

This is part of the Second Chances series but it can be read as a stand-alone. I am a sucker for second chance stories and enjoyed this one. This is the story of Tess and Ryan – young sweethearts who drifted apart when Tess moved away and in with her father. Years later, Tess is focused on taking care of her little brother, Noah – who will steal your heart. Ryan is focused on taking care of his dad and just cruising along with no romantic entanglements.

That works out fine until he runs into Tes

Again anything great book by L.E Bross. I liked Ryan in Right Where You Are, but this book made me love him so much more.

Ryan and Tess are reunited after many years of being apart. The connection that they once had is still there and they both try to fight. Ryan is the protector, he loves to take care of people and because of this he can't stay away from Tess. Tess is trying to protect herself and prove herself to her father

Tess is having a hard time in her life. She is trying to make ends meet, finish college and raise her little brother. Ryan, her old boyfriend, steps back into the picture. He is determined to keep her from failing.

This story took me by surprise. I am a notorious insomniac. I usually end up reading about an hour or so in the middle of the night. I picked this book up during one of my "bouts of insomnia" (sigh). When I looked at my clock, it was 4:30AM. I had been so engrossed in this story, I th

I really enjoyed this little first love/second chance story ... one of my favorite plot lines in the NA genre. Not only does it add that "little extra something" to the romance, but it fixes the eternal NA problem of relationships moving too quickly. In the case of Ryan and Tess, things couldn't get going fast enough! I loved them both from the start, though I wish they'd had a bit less internal "Will I? Won't I?" filling the pages. Great read! Been wanting to read the series and when I had the opportunity I jumped on it. I was able to finish it in one sitting, it was so good. Tess was a girl trying to do the right thing in life, with her father was trying to tear things down she was building. She was so lost and tired until she ran into Ryan, an old neighbor/boyfriend from years ago. Ryan hasn't had an easy life either, forced to grow up quickly, he was totally surprised to run into Tess again after all the years have pass ...more

I'm going to start off saying that I liked both Tess and Ryan. And I adored Noah. I'm a sucker for stories with little boys! Ryan's interaction with Noah was so sweet and cute, had me smiling the entire time. The way that Tess fought and protected Noah was brave and admirable. Not too many people would completely put their lives on hold to raise their little siblings. But Tess did and I loved that about her. But for me, this book just wasn't as good as the first one. 'Whatever It Takes' offers a more conventional and predictable take on the second chance romance, reuniting teenage lovers at a time when things couldn't be more difficult for both the H/hr. For that reason, I felt that it wasn't too much of a standout compared to its predecessor which was written around more unique circumstances and more standout characters. That being said however, L.E. Bross does nicely capture NA voices that tend to be a mix of impulsivity and growing maturity and I did like ...more

4.5 Stars. I loved this book as much as the first one in the series. I only wish there was more updates of the characters from the first book. Again I'm left wondering about Tess, Ryan and Noah. I suppose it's a good indicator that this book was so good because I'm so invested in these characters.
