Such a fun read. And the characters are so well developed that they begin to feel like real persons. The love and friendship between Dev and Griff is so heartwarming. Everyone should have a friendship like that one. Griffins sass and innocence at the same time is truly endearing. No wonder Daisy falls for him.
And the true genious behind this book is that the sad story is buried within, without leaving you with a sad feeling. A home planet wrecked by war. A not so loving father- child relationsh

Do you think Aliens live among us and look, act, and talk like us?

Wow, this author has made me into a swooning fangirl for Griffin Valentino.

This book was fantastic and one I have never in my whole life ever read before. The story-line is incredible and the characters are so lovable and awesome. I love how this author spun this tale. She had me hooked with every turn of the page. I absolutely love Griffin and his spunky, vivacious p

This book was highly entertaining and such a fast read. I have never read a book so fast in my life, I mean it as in per pages per minute, including middle grade novels. I could have probably read it in one sitting but I chose not to. This book is perfect for times like these. You will be entertained and will forget about what's going on in the world the moment you pick it up. I understand this isn't the best book ever which is why I gave it 3.5 stars but oh my God do I recommend it. It truly is ...more

OMG.

This book, y'all. This book.

I don't even know where to begin except to tell y'all that I am completely fangirling out in all the best possible ways. I love this book. It's my favorite book that I've read all year. If you love New York and hot British guys (who may or may not be from this planet) and laugh out loud humor and music and outer space then DROP EVERYTHING THAT YOU'RE DOING AND READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW.

Okay, synopsis. Daisy is your normal twenty-something, going about her day in N

A cute romance, a bit of adventure, and a ton of quirky moments--this story draws giggles, insures smiles and is simply a delight of zany, space orientated fun.

Daisy, aka Wanda, is not riding a great wave when it comes to guys. But unknowing to her, this dry spell is about to change in a totally unexpected way. An alien abduction, and that by some guy who thinks he's going to win over the world by being a popstar. And he expects Daisy to help him. Never mind the fact that she doesn't really have

This book is hilarious and addictive. It was a nice quick read, even tho it took me a week and some change because of school. I loved all the characters for the most part, they aren't perfect, but I don't think it affected my enjoyment of the story. It was very very cheesy at times, and sometimes it was overwhelming but others it was perfect. I found myself laughing out loud at the events, and grinning like an idiot at others.

This book did have some shortfalls. It wasn't the best writi

There is nothing like a fun comfy chick lit read and this one has a little bit of everything; adventure, excitement, romance, a decent dash of corny, fun, quirky characters and plenty of originality.

Dating An Alien Popstar Is A Rockin' Good Time

Hello Nimrods! Got another book review for you and it’s called "Dating An Alien Popstar" written by Kendra L. Saunders. I met Kendra on social media discussing a few bands we really liked, and turns out she’s also a writer. The minute she announced this particular novel I knew I had to jump into the loop to cover it in a review. If you like sci-fi with witty dialogue and a musical slant, then search no more because Dating An Alien Popstar may be jus

My Not So Secret Guilty Pleasure

I adored everything about this book! Daisy is "a few months on the wrong side of 29" living in New York City after spending a year following her favorite band on tour. Griffin and Dev are aliens from another planet. Grif has a bet to settle with his dad, and he wants to meet David Bowie. Posing as British pop stars, they commandeer Daisy to help Grid dress his pop persona. Daisy thinks she's been kidnapped by a loon with terrible fashion sense. She doesn't realize

This book was really hilarious 😛 the leading men have the best bromance (reminds me of the Devil is a parttimer boys but with aliens lol) It was really fascinating learning about how the characters, but also about what it takes to become famous this semi day and age especially with music. In addition, it was awesome to see how an avid music lover falls in love with an alien and the funness of it rather than dramatic was what made it extra special. I also like that theres was the right amount of ...more

I am a sucker for any books that have to do with aliens! I am completely obsessed. Roswell was one of my favorite shows I have ever watched. This book was super cute and funny. It was a fun and quick read. I read this book in just a few hours. It was easy to follow. All the chapters were broken down in a short and sweet manner. It was easy to follow and the writing flowed very well. There characters were silly, and quirky. They were easy to fall in love with. The aliens were fantastically portra ...more

Being a Roswell native, I love aliens, little, green and otherwise. so I really, really, really like the particular brand of alien found in Saunders' DATING AN ALIEN POP STAR!
Alien love, all the way, Earthlings...all the way.

Not only is the plot unique and the writing light and starry-skied, but Griffin and Devon are not your typical aliens, nor are they your typical strapping young galaxy knights in shining armor. They have issues and, somehow, those issues make them all the more adorable, and

This was a very amusing read! Griffin, alien prince, lands on earth to reach some political goals by becoming a famous pop star, using Daisy (or as he likes to call her, Wanda) as a stylist. They go through a big adventure, leading to a cute ending. Will add book two to my list :-)

Well, the title of this book really had me intrigued me which made me purchase it. My first thought was that it was different to many books out there and to be honest, I don’t usually go for books featuring aliens so I was intrigued to find and more and read.
It was a very confusing but amazingly wacky book from start to finish. Griffin and Devin were very funny alien characters and I chuckled a lot regarding their knowledge of Earth and humans. Daisy is the main human character and is kidnapped

This was just a fun book. Like pop music, light, fluffy, and happy. The premise is that aliens similar to humans arrive on earth, ostensibly looking for David Bowie (who he believes is also an alien) and one of them (Griffin) also wants to become a pop star. To help them fit in, they kidnap Daisy Kirkwood. And so starts the wild adventure, as Daisy helps them with shopping and navigating earth culture, that leads to events with far reaching consequences.

As I mentioned earlier, this book was just

If you want some light relief in the form of a funny, insane story involving sexy rock stars, then this is the book for you!

I do like a rock star, it has to be said, so when I found out who and what inspired the author to write this novel, I just had to read it.

I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. The two aliens who abduct the very human Daisy are utterly adorable. The very talented and Griffin is infuriatingly irresistible, as is fellow visitor, devoted Devon, who is lumbered with the respons

I need to preface this review by saying that I’m not a Kendra Saunders fangirl. Kendra has been far too important a figure in my life for such an inadequate label. I wouldn’t be the person I am without her guidance, support, and love.

So whenever I start reading one of her books, I panic.

What if this is the book I don’t love? What if I end up having to write a review where I lie and try to be funny. I can’t be funny when I’m lying and trying. I can’t. Then I have to breathe into a paperbag whil

This was SUCH a fun read. Fans of Bridget Jones's Diary will definitely get a kick out of this as Daisy has to deal with Aliens! Yes it sounds insane but it makes for a fun, fast paced read. This is one of those perfect beach type books. Aliens that want to be English Popstars? because seriously how else are you going to get all the power in the world? Awesome pop culture references this book will appeal to SO many people that you just need to pick up a copy and read it. An EASY 5 stars from me! ...more

Good thing I know there's a sequel coming, it will be hard to wait! I don't consider myself a big fiction reader, much of the little I've read in recent years lacks good character development. Not so this time! Griffin and Daisy are protagonists you quickly grow to care about, and that's why it's so hard to put the book down. Fast paced action doesn't hurt either. Then add in some of my favourite things- British music, sci-fi and what I would call magic, and it adds up to the best thing I've rea ...more
