Gavin might just be the music that Abigail yearns for … if only his painful past will allow him to love again.

Just a few months after arriving at Inferno Falls, Abigail can’t see the light at the end of her tunnel. No one can complain about being overworked and broke when the rest of the country’s the same way, but that doesn’t make it any easier when Abigail has to live t

In the second installment of the Inferno Falls Series we get Gavin and Abigail’s story. We first meet Gavin briefly as the guitar player in the small club/bar in The Boss’s Daughter and Abigail as the waitress of the local diner.

When Abigail gets a few extra shifts at the bar she never expected the guy that she waited on earlier to be sitting on the stage. Staring at her. But she has no clue as to the heartbreak that is Gavin. He lost everything years ago. Left with music but no lyrics. Until h

I couldn’t wait to read this book since meeting Gavin and Abigail in the previous book. I wanted to know more about them. I liked this book a lot, just like the previous one, but I liked this one a little bit more. I love the meaning of the title.

Abigail is a waitress at the Nosh Pit and one day there is a handsome customer, Gavin. She is immediately attracted to him and they have a nice conversation. She hopes to see him again soon. That evening she needs to work at Overloo

This is a little bit hard to take in and frustrating for me. I say this not because of how the author wrote the story but the story itself feels a little bit slow in grasping the readers attention. Most of my frustrations were centered on the main characters. I'm not sure if I like them because of the back and forth going on and the doubt that are both in them. Is Gavin ready to let go? Does he know that having Abigail is like a therapy

This is the second Aubrey Parker book I've read, and it was one I was interested in after the appearance of Gavin in the first story. Once again, the writing was great and I love the characters. Gavin was a soulful and broody musician still dealing with the loss of some very important people in his life. Abigail is the beautifully average girl that subtly becomes his muse. Much like the characters in the first Inferno Falls book, Gavin and Abigail have chemistry but it was more subtle. I like ho ...more

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

Unlike book 1 of Inferno Falls, The Boss’s Daughter, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I thought this book was good but it took me a while to get into the characters and the story. Once I got into the story, I liked the storyline. This book is about Abigail, who is a writer and waitress at Nosh Pit, and Gavin, who is a grief stricken musician who thought he could heel from the tragedy he suffered by coming to Inferno Falls. When Abigail first meets G

This book is about Abigail who we meet in the previous book and is a waitress at the Nosh Pit. She has had a rough go of it lately and seams to be struggling. Gavin is a tortured artist dealing with a horrible loss. They meet and attraction ensues but something is always holding them back. Their relationship is very rocky and just like the first book we spend way more time inside the main characters head and not enough time actually seeing them interact in a real way. I wish these chara

Gavin and Abigail both have a chapter that they don't want to read from their lives. But let's be honest, everyone has a story that they don't want to read to anyone. They skirt around each other and never really met until Abby picks up another shift at her second job. There she meets the mysterious Gavin and they clique.
Okay, I had some really good quotes but of course, it got deleted. It made me want to cry. Actually, my entire book go

This is the second book that I have ready by Aubrey Parker...and it definitely won't be the last! She has a way with words that make you feel like you are inside the character's head. You are able to feel their emotions and live their story right alongside them.
The Forbidden Muse is Abigail and Gavin's story. Abigail moved to Inferno Falls to be a writer (against her family's wishes) and Gavin is a musician that came to Inferno Falls to heal after a tragedy (although coping isn't coming easy).

This Book #2 in the Inferno Falls Series by Aubrey Parker, and I loved it!

The story line is well written, and the characters fit perfectly into the story, as well as the settings.
I really loved and enjoyed following the character throughout the story, and see Gavin & Abigail's relationship devolved. What a great installment. While new characters are introduces, we get to visit with known character from book #1.

The Forbidden Muse by Aubrey Parker
4 stars

With this second book in the series, meeting Abigail and Gavin, I liked staying in the same town and having the some familiar characters from book one. Expanding the "world" of Inferno Falls through Abigail and Gavin's eyes was interesting and compelling.
The sadness and heartbreak they each experienced in the past had me hurting for them. The attraction they have towards each other drew me in and held me captive, waiting to see what would happen next, a

*I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this book.* Forbidden Muse is a heart-felt story that digs into deep emotional territory. Aubrey Parker tells the story of two people who unknowingly push one another forward, in hopes of letting go of dark, stifling pasts. Abigail escaped the chains of a demanding family and philandering ex-boyfriend; while Gavin struggles to move forward with what was once a flourishing musical career, and an opportunity to open his heart again. With angst-ridden moment ...more

I couldn't wait to read this book, from meeting Gavin in The Boss's daughter I was intrigued to read Gavin's story. With the tragedy of losing people close, Gavin blames himself and can't let go of what happened. When Abigail meets Gavin there is something there but Gavin can't let her get close and does everything he can to push her away and hurt her in a way that she won't want anything to do with him. But hearing Gavin play a song, Abigail can't get it out of her head and without knowing coll ...more

When tragedy breaks you in two, love can put you back together.

This review is from: The Forbidden Muse (Inferno Falls Two) (Kindle Edition)
This book is written in two person perspective. The first is Gavin who after three years is still grieving the loss of his two band mates (best friend and lover). The second is Abigail who left a home of privilege and wealth to pursue her own creativity in writing (nothing in three years). She works two waitressing jobs just to get by.
This is a lovely story o

Book 2 of the inferno series we see Gavin & Abigail, both are great intense characters. One trying to make something of themself without being under the thumb of their family, the other trying to deal with the loss of their loved ones who in this case are very much like a family to them.

Abigail is very much the go getter in this relationship, she made the first moves whereas Gavin tried denying what he was feeling as he felt he was being dishonest

This is the first book which I have read from this author, and it will not be the last.
I found this book rather slow in places, but that did not deter me from enjoying it. I don’t like to write spoilers, therefore, I will not be going into details of the story. This is the second book in the series, and I regret that I did not read the first one.
Abigail and Gavin are both have complicated pasts, and this is a sad and heartbreaking read.

This is the second book in the Inferno Falls series and I enjoyed it. Abigail moves away from her family to try and find her way to a happy live. When she meets Gavin, she is instantly attracted to him. Gavin, a singer at the club Abigail works it, has a tragic past that has left him broken and alone. As the story progresses we get to witness both of their journeys as they try to deal with their past and trying to create a future. They had a strong chemistry I so enjoyed reading. I received this as an ARC for an honest review.

What an emotional ride! A struggling artist dealing with loss but can't seem to move on. A struggling waitress who knows wealth but wants to make it on her own. When the two meet there is a connection. A connection that he isn't ready for as she steadily falls for him with blinding innocence. It's a painful journey that has a light at the end of the tunnel.

A great continuation in the Inferno Falls series. Gavin and Abigail are two kids from priveledged backgrounds, determined to make it one their own terms. As soon as they meet sparks fly. Gavin is still reeling from a traumatic past, he tries to keep Abigail at arms length.
I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in this series as much as the first. This author has moved to the top of my Tbr list, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store!

This is an ARC, for a fair and honest review.
Gavin a musician, Abigail a waitress meet at the Nosh Pit where Abigail works, there is a connection from the first. Again they meet at Abigail's 2nd job the Outlook both are attracted to the other, but both get the wrong impressions, both are to obtuse to see the attraction.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.
I loved the first book in this series so much that I didn't wait to read this one. I got so engrossed in the book that I read it in an hour. I didn't want to stop reading until I find out how Abigail and Gavin's story ended. I suggest you pick up a copy of both books in this series. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Well this was a very deep, sensitive, all consuming love connection. This was the first book in along time for me that was about two people connecting on a deeper level, almost like soul mates. I loved this story. Gavin needed time to heal and Abigail gave that to him, she let him go at his own pace. It's rare to find a book these days like this and it's refreshing.

I love to write stories with characters that feel real enough to friend on Facebook, or slap across the face. I write to make you feel, think, and burn with the thrill that can only come from getting lost in the pages. I love to write unforgettable characters who wrestle with life's largest problems. My books may always end with a Happily Ever After, but there will always be drama on the way there ...more
