Blood is thicker than water…but can it melt a heart of ice?

Adelaide Miller gave up everything she knows to remain in Prince Zayne Godfrey’s alternate reality and assume her rightful place as eldest princess in the rival kingdom of Forath.

For an independent, free-spirited woman, however, royal life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it’s downright smothering. Especi

Dragons Against Them - Kyra Jacobs:

Dragons Against Them is book two in the Kingdoms of Fire and Ice series by Kyra Jacobs. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

I fell in love with Addie and Zayne in book one of this series and was so excited to see what comes next for them. Addie is trying to adjust to her new life in this alternate realm. There are no modern amenities here. But she gladly gave up everything that was familiar to her to be with Zayne. Not only did s

Kyra Jacobs returns with the second book in her Kingdoms of Fire and Ice series; Dragons Against Them. this is very much a series with a story running through it, and as such should be read in order to avoid confusion.

A huge amount happened in the first book, and if you haven’t read it I would say that my review is likely to offer spoilers in relation to my talking about this installment in the series and general development of the plot, so if you haven

Kyra Jacobs transports her readers back to the kingdoms of Forath and Edana for the second in her Kingdoms of Fire and Ice series. I loved the first book and picking up where Dragons Among Them left off, Dragons Against Them sees Adelaide struggling to cope with her new found role of Princess, whilst Prince Zayne is desperate to marry her despite her family continuing to make things difficult and their kingdoms still failing to get along.

I had fairly high expectations going into this and on the

If you haven't read the first installment, stop what you're doing and go READ IT...NOW!!!

Are you kidding me right now? Seriously? I'm in shock! I absolutely NEVER saw that coming...NEVER!!! Wow, just wow. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything...let's start from the beginning...

Addie has returned from her realm and has committed to a future with her betrothed, Zayne, Prince of Edana. But until the wedding, she is basically stuck inside her father's castle "for pr

I was really curious where things were going to go after book one in this series. Unlike most series where you either get one couple throughout all books, OR new couples for each book, this one gives you a little of both.

Zane and Addie are still the main couple, but I love how Kyra wove in lots of other romantic elements with the exceptional world plot. And when I say exceptional, I mean it. I truly had no idea how things were going to play out, and Kyra kept the intensity moving and building fr

After the ending of DRAGONS AMONG THEM I was left wondering what would happen between Addie and Zayne, so it was a no-brainer when I had the chance to snag a review copy of DRAGONS AGAINST THEM.

I'm not usually a fan of multiple POVs in my books, but Jacobs did a good job of making me feel like I was getting the full story even when I was in another person's head. Addie and Zayne were just as interesting to me in book two as I found them in book one, but DRAGONS AGAINST THEM covered a lot more th
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Advisory. . . Reading book one is essential to the total enjoyment of book two. Book one give up some secrets, previous deceptions, connections, current battles, and more. I did not read book one and I was lost and confused and felt a bit cheated that I did not read the first book of this series. My fault. I was not aware that this was a continuation of the first book of the series. I was able to muddle my way through and find love for both Addie and Zayne. I enjoyed Tristan both sides of him. Kyra Jacobs weaves a story filled with treachery, intrigue and hidden agendas in her second installment to the Kingdoms of Fire and Ice series. In it we see forces outside of themselves working to keep Zayne and Adelaide apart, and Rosalind actively seeking the means to further her own selfish and bloodthirsty desires.

I enjoyed the few stolen moments where Zayne and Adelaide together, and seeing their relationship develop. Adelaide continues to adjust to learning to live in a completely differen

This second book in the Kingdoms of Fire and Ice grows with the story. You can already see a difference in the writing. The first book was more on the fun side, where this one is more interesting. There is less emphases on the sex in this book, as it gets down and dirty with the background that is starting to come to light. Too many of the characters have hidden agendas and secrets that we now discover. I enjoyed the way that we saw more of the supporting characters and even had a change of hear ...more

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The fairytale-eque Kingdoms of Ice and Fire, Forath and Edana, exist in an alternate reality. In this magical land, men transform into majestic dragons wielding either ice or fire, depending on their originating kingdom. Forath’s female heir, Adelaide “Addie” Miller, is an earthly transplant desperately attempting to navigate her newfound home. Kidnapped in infancy, Addie is recently returned to Forath via wizard magic
