This series has a great set of diverse characters, including a girl who likes programming. It's great for younger kids who are reading above their grade level

Children's first chapter book. The DATA Set is a fun mad scientist adventure series featuring three friends, Cesar, Laura, and Gabe, who are very interested in science experiments. In this book, Dr. Bunsen has invented a code to transmit to outer space for alien communication. But when Dr. B goes to sleep for several days for a dream project, it's up to the DATA set to watch over it. A young alien, Fave, hears the communication and makes its way to Earth alone. Can the three friends help the alien get home without endangering themselves?

A fun, fast-paced story full of science gadgets. This is the third book in a series but can also be read by itself.

It's called The Sky is Falling and there's a man called Dr. Bunson. He made a little thing called a bunson code and he made it so it would be easier to talk with aliens when you're on earth. My favorite part was when they drew pictures of they thought aliens would look like. One had two brains and one had eight arms. Then, someone in the DATA said, I'd like to be an alien as long as it was friendly. They received a secret message in Bunson code saying "We are coming".

Another great read in this series. I am really enjoying these, even though I'm grown. Great for everyone. Fun and interesting, a little suspenseful and a great twist at the end. Anytime reading that will get you turning the pages and have the book over before you realize. Enjoy!

Read aloud to the younger kids. This book was more fun than book 2, but neither have been as good as Book 1. They are still clever and entertaining, light on the STEM and heavy on the friendship. We will keep going with this series.
