This short novella is a YA paranormal, and it's a bit different. Yes, there are vampires and werewolves in it (cameo appearances in this one), but the two main characters (the Constatin brothers) appear to be something different. We don't find out exactly what they are in this book, and that's part of the fun. It makes you want to read the series. This is sort of a side story to G. K. DeRosa's Guardian Series. As such it's a very effective way to give readers a sample of the series and to hook them. It hooked me. I have purchased the first book in the series to read.
Why 4 stars and not 5? It's partly a matter of taste. I tend to reserve 5 for those that blow me away. This is very good and enjoyable, but not quite at the "wow" level. The editing quality is also 4 out 5, not quite perfect.
