It has been a while since I have read a shifter story. I love them, but it is sometimes hard to find a shifter story with substance. This one has it in spades, and it drew me in from page one. The Alpha Deacon and the retired ranger Lena was not your girl meets shifter, mate and the end. It was a complex story of the clan, the background of the Alpha Deacon, Lena, and others. The struggles and the strengths of Deacon and Lena are woven throughout the book. There was a beginning and an HEA for the heroes, but I am looking forward to reading more in the "Shifters Unlimited Series". This is the first book I have read by KH LeMoyne, and I look forward to reading more. I was gifted this book for an honest review. I very seldom give a 5 star review, but this one warrants it in MHO.

Lena and Deacon

Not your typical shifter tale. The writing is excellent. I was drawn in immediately to the mystery. The characters were fully drawn and relatable.

I will definitely buy and read this entire series.

I loved this story! I very rarely say this about a book, but there wasn't anything I would change about it! It had mystery/suspense, humor, action, shifters, paranormal abilities, and steamy romance. The heroine was smart, caring, protective, determined, and strong. The hero was powerful, smart, protective, and supportive. The romance wasn't rushed, but slowly grew. The author didn't hurry the story along, but rather gave enough detail to enhance the story without bogging it down with too much description. The secondary characters were wonderful and they were easy to keep track of. This is part of a series, but it isn't necessary to read them in order. There is a HEA for the main couple and no cliff hanger. There are a couple of hints of things to come in future stories. I can't wait for more stories in the Shifters Unlimited series!

This is the first book in this series (along with the prequel, Hidden). I loved it. I was sad when it was done. I can't wait for the next book!

Deacon is a very powerful and fair Alpha. When he finds his true mate, no one is more shocked than he is. Except maybe his mate. She was a Park Ranger and then a Private Investigator. She is trying to help a man find his wife and son. She, and he, does not know all her secrets. For further complications, Deacon and his team are looking for the wife, too. They don't know about the child. When these two teams meet, spark ignite...and the story gets going!

This book was given me by Rebecca Hamilton in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Rebecca has given me some really good books to review in the past and this was no exception . Action packed from the very first page this book follows the adventures of our heroine , taking in fights with "shifter animals" and outsmarting the bad guys all the way. It's a steamy semi erotic story that keeps the reader in suspense on how that part of the story will pan out. Our hero is an alpha male and there is some great insights into how these "shifters" live by their rules. I can't recommend this book highly enough and I'm certainly going to read it's partner " Hidden"

Adventure, mystery and shifters of all animals.
This book has it all!
Lena is asked by a last minute intrusion in her office to find a missing mother and child. Accepting the mission. She only hopes for the best outcome at the end. But it seems another team is In the run to find what she started. And something evil and mutated is on her tail to stop her. As the clues pile up and shifters of all types start coming out of the woods. Will she survive long enough to see the mother and child hopefully safe?

I received Missing as an ARC (advance reader's copy) book from the author. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. I enjoyed the non-stop action, strong (and competent!) female protagonist, and the character development. The book had its sexy moments, but I never got the impression the book was written as an excuse for sex scenes-- it had a solid plot, bad villains, and nice twists to keep the reader guessing. Great beginning to a series.

This is one of those books that, as I was reading it, I wondered what all the fuss was about. The writing itself was solid (e.g. good grammar, strong verbs), but the story? Overblown, melodramatic, too many threads, too much minutiae... It was a tedious read, like slogging through molasses. I finally gave up trying to figure it out.

Shifting madness

Deacon finding his true mate after so many years. Who would have thought he would find it in a park ranger named Lena. Sparks flew from their first meeting together. Love how all characters intertwined. Hired by Matthew. Lena desperate to find Shana and her son Trevor. It was a fight to the finish with the feral creatures kidnapping kids to do their bidding. Great read

Awesome

As with the first installment in the series, this was a gripping tale. Held me immobilized until it was done and only then, it decided to set me free. Well written and a cast of characters that make you forget reality for a while

As with the prequel, Hidden, I thought this book was fantastic. I loved the story line and the characters, both of which had me hooked from the start. The story definitely held some surprises and there are some mysteries that seem yet to be revealed. I can't wait to read the next book to find out the answers to those questions!

Absolutely Outstanding!

I'm really hoping the next volume is coming soon. Great story. Complex situations and characters. Love her shifter world. It is very unique. Crossovers with Native American Shamanism and the human world as well. I love these characters. Can't wait for the next episode in this world.

Black Haven

After reading the prequel to the series, I wondered how LeMoyne could match it. It is terrific. But this book not only meets it, but surpasses it. It is a great read, another one that I couldn't put down.
Adam Black, the alpha of a huge territory ranging from within Canada to the Yucatan in Mexico, was introduced in the prequel, Hidden. His character is strong, compassionate, and just. He is finding it more and more difficult to balance his power unless he is home at Black Haven Stronghold near Glacier National Park in Montana. He also finds it difficult to delegate. He needs two things: a competent administrative assistant and an alpha mate. In his typical hands on way, when he gets word one of his wolves has gone missing, he takes his second and his omega with him to find her.
Meanwhile, Lena Juarez, former national park ranger and current private investigator, receives an early morning visitor at the office. Matthew Philmont's wife and young son have gone missing. After ruling him out as a suspect, the police referred him to Lena. Armed with a duffle full of his military targeted inventions and other back country equipment, they begin to track Shanae and Trevor from Seattle toward Montana.
When Lena and Deacon's paths intersect, they don't immediately join forces. But Lena soon realizes Deacon is never far away. And as they try to puzzle out what was so bad that it sent Shanae on the run without going to her husband or alpha first, they begin to realize the threat is more widespread than to just the Philmonts.
This is a standalone full length book with an HEA and no cliffhangers. It has a suspense filled plot, likable characters, mature romance and the beginnings of an overarching storyline. It promises to be an autobuy series.

GREAT STORY, ANOTHER NEW TAKE ON SHIFTERS AND THEIR POWERS!

This book captured me from the beginning and was fast paced cover to cover. This is the first book I have read by Author, KH LeMoyne. I did not receive anything for my review.

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. LeMoyne does a great job of balancing action, adventure, mystery, erotica, romance, danger and attention to detail. It is very rare for me to not be off put by too much erotic content; however, LeMoyne has managed to keep the erotic content to an acceptable minimum. Many paranormal romance authors have fallen prey to making erotic content the main plot and less about a readable storyline. They leave nothing to imagination and there really are only so many ways to say the same thing over and over in a book or series and the repetition is annoying. My hats off to LeMoyne for having the sense to keep the actual plot line on the story and not the sexual escapades of shifters. A big thank you for that!

The characters are well developed and there is attention to detail that makes them seem like friends that you know and love. Well, except the bad guys who are easy to dislike and make me bloodthirsty for their nefarious plans to fail. Die bad guy die.

The basic is the favorite boy meets girl plot of romance but there are several plots within the story that keep you reading and guessing about "What happens next"? I am hoping this is not a stand alone book as I still want to know "What happens next?". The subtle cliffhanger will make me look for and buy any subsequent books in "Shifters Unlimited".

I am happy to recommend this book to paranormal readers, romance readers and any readers that just like a well written book.

KUDOS KH LeMoyne on a tale well told. Now going to look for a book 2...

One of Deacon Black’s protégées has disappeared and as the alpha he’s prepared to risk his sanity to bring her home until he unexpectedly finds his salvation in this thrilling paranormal romance. I was completely caught up in this story from the very beginning and there was no way that I could put the story down as I just knew I would miss something within this complex plot and fascinating world and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Adventurous!

First off, I'd recommend reading this book if you love paranormal reading of any kind and love feeling as if your right in the adventure with them. I read Hidden first and loved it! Then I read Missing, I stayed up just to finish this book. I felt like I was up in the mountains with them and could feel and see what each character felt and saw. I can't wait to see a third book for this series!!! I loved all breeds of shifter living together and how it explained the dynamic of the children! Great read!

An enjoyable shifter read filled with mystery, tension, danger and romance. I was able to get into the story right away and connect with the characters. The one problem I had was I found myself confused and not quite knowing what exactly was going on. Seeing as this is part of a series perhaps if I read the others I would understand more. Other than that it was a interesting, well written shifter novel.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Exciting read

Sometimes it is about the timing. On a last minute quest to find family and keep them safe. Unable to account for the arrival of two strangers, but better yet the names ring a bell. As both head out the find a common goal. Lives are on the line, can they work together for the benefit of all? Really loved the book.

I loved it! .

I really loved it! Most times I enjoy reading about a dominant male holding all the cards purely because I want to escape from my day to day life. However it was refreshing to read about a woman of great courage, strength, and perseverance. Well done..

I have been busy the last few days, so I had a little trouble getting into the story. Finally, today I was able to sit down and get through the book.....didn't want to put it down, in fact. The characters are compelling and interesting. Final observation....good book.
