The Goldens are coming. The Goldens are coming. The Legends of The Goldens Series is a collection of quirky urban-fantasy romances, about vampire good guys-psychic orbweavers who create, or weave together, real universes. They can shapeshift, telepath, teleport, heal-and make love, not war, with their fangs. Instinctively they rescue both humans and vampires, even when nei ...more

This book was genial, but extremely confusing. I was halfway through before I realized everyone was living on an alternate version of Earth, and there was a lot of alien terminology that was explained too late -- Golden, Goo-goo, GeoSurvery, etc. Things zipped along too fast, with a lot of dialogue, and there was little real worldbuilding or exposition. Readable, but I got tired of it quickly.

That said, the characters were appealing. In this alternate world, there are aliens (Goldens) and vampir

This was the first book I’ve read from this author, but it came highly recommended from a person whose opinion I trust. Not only was I not disappointed, I was even more impressed with it than I’d expected to be! I loved S.B.K. Burn’s storytelling abilities and the style of writing she uses—the distinctive ‘voice’. It is so simple and easy to read, but each sentence and page packs so much emotion and imagery that you really get a bang for your buck. This is a romantic NA paranormal/sci-fi, But no ...more

Andrew is a Golden - genetic descendant of vampires - on an alternative version of earth. He meets up with Maggie - a human with supernatural abilities. And he has to learn how not to permanently bond with her... while also dealing with local vampires, UFO groupies, reality jumping, etc etc. And there is also genetic engineered clone robots involved somewhere there.

OK, the concept of the book is good - but it's really hard to follow it. The author tends to go more on the talking only side and ha

Dancing Dragons is the second in a series, but can serve as a stand alone. I like that it included New Jersey, as that's where i'm from. The book started out slowly, but I was intrigued with the vampire/fantasy aspects. I like how the characters are fleshed out and described. Andrew and Maggie can move through portals. This is something I liked about The City of Bones series as well. Dancing Dragons is a good young adult novel, I feel intrigued to read the first part now. Overall I like where th ...more

I must be over vampires, because I rolled my eyes through this entire book. It is really well written, but I really struggled not fully understanding the back story and should have read the first book. This does not take way from the author’s incredible story telling abilities, and if you are still into vampires and like Science Fiction, please pick this up and read it. If not, move on. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't the typical vampire sci fi book. I wish I had read the previous books first but this was enjoyable!
