Bleach Volume 6 Review
Manga Rating: 5 stars out of 5.
Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. Urahara brings Chad and Orihime to talk to him. Their powers were manifested because they have contact with Ichigo. Urahara tells them that it is up to them if they want to believe him or not. Ichigo meets up with Uryu. They are both running on empty at this point. The hollows keep coming. They decide to work together. Orihime and Chad are watching everything that's going on.
Uryu notices that the hollows are acting weird as well. A rip in the sky opens up. A menos grande appears in Karakura Town. Menos grande are more powerful than a regular hollow. In fact, they are in charge of the lesser hollow that Ichigo usually fights. Ichigo attacks the hollow. He actually is able to cut it.
His spirit energy goes crazy. Uryu decides to shoot off arrows to help Ichigo his spirit energy go back to normal. The next day Ichigo invites him to sit with him and his friends at lunch.
At the end of the volume Rukia decides to leave. She needs to go back to the soul society. She is confronted by Renji Abarai and her brother, Byakuya Kuchiki. Uryu sees everything going on and steps in to help Rukia.

Renji is a big part of the reason I started Bleach (I thought he looked cool), and now he’s finally here! Yoruichi is also here (as mr cat)…. a future reveal which I’m sure is going to be pretty funny.
There was a surprising amount of development in this volume, with the history of the Quincy’s being explained through Ishida. It was really nice to see him and Ichigo come together for a fight, and even become something like friends as they share lunch together at school the next day.
It’s been a few months since I read the last volume, so I’m surprised I was able to follow the story quite easily again. Props to Kubo for the thorough explanations that got me right back into the action. Can’t wait to continue Bleach!

Its a good volume overall, Ichigo meets Ishida Uryuu and as their competition goes on they have to fight these hollows and like the competition is severe, we learn more about Quincy and their history and what happened 200 years ago and Ishida's history too and them teaming up vs the hollows, Menos Grande comes in and so Ichigo has to fight that but thats when we see Ichigos insane unlimited power and the way he is able to defeat it, Ishida becomes inspired and its so cool to see two friends come together and they share a great moment in lunch and then Rukia goes away as Byakuya and Renji are after her to take her to soul society up next! Good volume overall and just continues the awesome world building in bleach and has amazing moments for Ichigo, also something going on with Orihime and Chad? Plus designs of some new characters are soo cool!!

This book is so good, finally that jerk Uryuu is partner with Ichigo to kill all the hollows, but for some reason Ichigo has this strong power but I didn’t know about it or don’t even know how to control it. Recommend for you guys to read it, it’s good.

Master... Today I saved a Shinigami... Can you forgive me for what I have done? I'm very useless. I couldn't save you. Can you... Can you ever forgive me? [Ishida Uryuu]
In this volume we got a continuation of the battle between Ichigo and Ishida. The winner will be the one who's going to kill more Hollows. With this battle, Ishida is trying to prove the strength of the Quincy in front of a Shinigami. Ichigo is angry at Ishida for selfishly putting everyone in danger, but when the amount of Hollows rapidly increases, he is willing to put aside their personal issues to fight back to back with Ishida to get rid of the danger.
But then something totally unexpected happens. One of the biggest and most powerful Hollows appears - the Menos Grande.
That scene was horrifying. I felt the danger when I saw it in the anime, of course, but it seems much, much more serious in the manga. The Menos Grande looks MENACING and the moment it started to eat its' own kind was something I totally did not expect. I know that the Hollows are cannibals (they eat each other), but damn, that took me totally off guard. And HE LOOKED SO BIG, JESUS. Like a freaking titan! Totally horrifying!
"your sensei's greatest wish wasn't about the Shinigami acknowledging the strength of the Quincy! It was about working along with the Shinigami, wasn't it!? So if you won't do that now, when will you!?"
With this volume, we've got a glimpse of Ishida's time spend with his grandfather before he was killed. The Ishida senior was Uryuu's grandpa and the person who taught him how to fight. He was a pacifist who fought only when he had to, and he never blamed Shinigami for what had happened to the Quincy clan. In the contrary, he was convinced that the Quincy were the ones to blame for what had happened. Ichigo cleverly used that knowledge to get Ishida to realize that the whole battle is a mistake. While I didn't like the whole stupid competition, I really enjoy the dynamic between Ichigo and Ishida. They might be very different (one is a thinker while the other prefers action over strategy), but they both lost someone very dear to them and try to deal with it. I also love the scene with Ichigo being concerned about Ishida's health (after the battle), but trying to cover it (but Rukia didn't buy it) and then inviting Ishida to lunch in the school. He has such a sweet soul.
"It's hard for me to look at sad faces. I'm not Superman, so I can't say anything big like I'll protect everyone on Earth. I'm not a modest guy who will say it's enough if I can protect as many people as my two hands can handle, either. I want to protect... a mountain load of people." [Ichigo] - INSTANT TEARS 😭
How can I not love this guy? How?
"Giving your powers to a human is a very serious sin for a Shinigami. Our boss appointed us as the executioners to kill the human who has your powers. Now! Call him, Rukia! We'll capture you and the guy who stole your powers will die."
Hello, hello, Renji and Byakuya! While I hate the fact that they play the bad guys in the beginning, I love both of these characters and I'm so very happy to (finally) see them. Btw, am I the only one who thinks that Byakuya looks much more younger in the manga than in the anime? Here he looks like a teenager!
In this volume Yoruichi the cat was also introduced. We are so close to the Soul Society saga! ☺️
P.S. I admire the author for making a great balance between the seriousness and fun. It's nice to have a good laugh after a very serious (or terrifying) scene.

This was super enjoyable.
Quincy were my favorite when I read Bleach as a teenager back in 2005. Reading it now they're still great. On top of that we get to see one team up with Ichigio in a awesome fight to the death against Hallows. We also get to see the other Soul Reapers come after Rukia for giving away her powers. All in all this is a blast. A 4 out of 5.

Puede que me repita más que el ajo, pero los primeros arcos de Bleach siempre me parecen los mejores. Y esta relectura, tantos años después acompañando el ritmo de publicación de la serie en formato Bestseller, me vuelve a dar la razón.
Esta sexta entrega es, junto con el tercero, el que mayor arco de desarrollo del lore dentro de Bleach ha presentado hasta el momento. La batalla entre Ishida e Ichigo desencadena una locura absoluta en Karakura, a la vez que conocemos la historia de los Quincy.
Pd: han llegado Byakuya y Renji. Alarma.

Ahh this volume was insane!! I need sleep but I just wanna read vol 7!!!!!
In this installment we continue from the events of the previous volume, with Ichigo and Ishida teaming up together to take down the remaining Hollows that are terrorizing the city.
Out comes this freakin' Giant Hollow called Menos Grande!
Chaos ensues and it's just the best damn time. I loved the battle sequence that happened, the inner turmoil Chad and Orihime are going through in regards to their newfound abilities, the new info we received about Quincies and Soul Reapers, and the new characters we are introduced to!
I am obsessed with this series and if I didn't have to wait on holds from my library I would seriously just binge the whole thing.

first of all this is the review for volume 1 to 10.
if i don't compare it with any other Manga novels then, it was a great experience to read this series.
the whole concept of Soul reapers was neatly implemented.
And not to forgot it sure was page turner.
but when i compare it with other (and my fav.) Manga series Naruto it was ok.
the character building was not so great. it's almost a headache to remember their names,
and there r lot of other things,
but all in all Worth 4 stars out of 5.

Second best volume I've read so far easily. Uryu can be a little annoying but his contrast with ichigo and their frenemie situation is pretty well handled to be fair. Urahara just is cold af ( the guy on the front cover) so now he's finally stepping in more is exciting and I'm looking forward to the mentorship arc. Renji has finally appeared, which means were finally gonna be getting into the soul society arc (I can't wait to watch ichigoat slap some soul reapers silly). I will say though to end on that as much as I love ichigo him forcing a menos grande to retreat this early on is absurd and I'd argue way to early to be showing him this powerful.

Things are indeed getting interesting towards the end of this one event volume.
I didn't find boring it at all maybe only just if a little static.
The battle tho was very captivating and smooth.
It's been a while since I read this series and I accumulated quite a few volumes of it, hopefully I'll be able to catch up soon.

My review on the book Bleach, Vol. 6 was that it was very exciting and honestly made me want to read more because the author was really good at putting in the concept of the Soul Reapers and his comparison of the two main characters Ichigo and Uryu. Since Ichigo and Uryu found themselves in a deadly battle, which caused them to work together to fight for their lives. I wish the characterization was better because I keep forgetting the main characters names plus they don't really show lots of their background. The writing style is very unique and very exciting. So thats my review on this great book.

This volume is totally action packed. Ichigo and Uryu continue to battle hollows, but the fight changes. We learn more about Ichigo's powers. And there's something funny going on work Rukia.
I know some people don't like the constant action but I found it enjoyable in this volume. There is a lot of character development in all that action.

Bleach, Vol. 6 continues where the previous tankobon left off and contains the next nine chapters (44–52) of the on-going manga series.
Kisuke Urahara explains to Orihime Inoue and Yasutora "Chad" Sado that their contact with Ichigo Kurosaki allowed them to manifest their own powers. After finding Uryu Ishida, Ichigo is forced to team up with the Quincy against the incoming hollows while learning Uryu's past. It is then that a giant Hollow known as a Menos Grande appears that Ichigo manages to defeat. However, Ichigo uses too much spiritual power in the process, causing him to lose consciousness as Uryu saves him by releasing the excess energy through his bow.
As Ichigo attempts to befriend Uryu the following day, Rukia Kuchiki is set to return to the Soul Society. However, Rukia is confronted by two Soul Reapers sent to arrest her for giving her powers to a human: Renji Abarai and his Captain Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia's older brother, while Uryu interferes at the last second.
This tankobon is written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. The explanation for the powers for Orihime Inoue and Yasutora "Chad" Sado seem rather plausible, albeit convenient and the back story to Uryu Ishida gives extra dimension to a recently added character, which seems to be staying. The next arc has Rukia Kuchiki being arrested for giving Ichigo Kurosaki powers – a living mortal.
All in all, Bleach, Vol. 6 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.

With the competition between Ichigo and Uryu escalating we get treated to Uryu's past and how some residents of Karakura Town handle a hollow infestation of epic proportions. Of course as bad as swarms of ravenous spirit monsters are the crack that has been forming in the sky beckons a hollow of such size that normally specialized Soul Reaper squads are needed to handle it. Without such reinforcments coming we get to see how a small group rise to the challenge of saving the town. :)
We also see Rukia is discovered by soul society after giving her powers to Ichigo back in issue #1. Before being taken away Uryu just happened to be in the area and has a few choice words for those that want to take her away.
My fave moment of the book would have to be Uryu's funny moment with Ichgo's sword placed on his head like a long brimmed hat wanting him to pump his spirit energy through it so he can attack the huge Hollow wit ha super charged arrow. Ichigo is so new at this stuff he is clueless. :)

un mega volume bello denso e ricco di avvenimenti folli.
io vivo per storie in cui due personaggi da nemici diventano amici e qui abbiamo proprio quel genere di rapporto lì: Ichigo e Ishida da nemici diventano fidati compagni.
finalmente è arrivato(a) anche yoruichi che mi piace moltissimo e l'aspettavo con ansia.
ma soprattutto è arrivato quello stronzo atomico di byakuya che amo senza vergogna da anni e anni, sono pronta a soffrire per lui ancora una volta.
questa rilettura di bleach si sta rivelando davvero un'ottima scelta!

The best volume thus far. Kubo's action scenes are beautifully drawn and never confusing with who is doing what. The motivations and character comparison between Ishida and Ichigo in this volume are well done.

This is probably the most exciting volume so far, and it marks the ending of the introduction pahse I'd say. The shinigami and soul society are a huge part of this series and we're only now being introduced to the main story, I'd say, that will also lead to the main conflict.
