An excellent, near unparalleled example of the GSD breed in one book, with plenty of images from older showlines and information for pet owners.

Includes a concise breed history both in and out of the show ring, as well as in the police and protection sports, dogs of war, and pet training. There is a lot of information in this volume, and most all of it is relevant today. It presents a useful look into the development of the show breed. No stone left unturned, and each topic has plenty of useful reading.

Reading is crisp, light, and highly digestible, with plenty of facts and history to boost reader's interest in this breed of dog. The hardcover volume is a delightful edition to any library.
