A perfect book for when your kid interrupts your beach tanning session with a bunch of questions. But they'd better want the somewhat dry answers; geological processes aren't necessarily wildly exciting. The 'experiments' are also somewhat dry; no exciting colorful explosions or anything. That said, it'd be a good resource to throw in your bag along with your beach read.
