This is a soft cover coffee table type book where the first half is a narrative emphasizing the rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, with a few pictures interspersed, while the second half is mostly pictures with some written descriptions. Very nice keepsake for the pictures. The narrative is interesting, but doesn't break any new ground for any avid hockey reader. A few times the author, who has written two hockey books that were very good "where-are-they-now" books about retired players, brings up some tidbits from the past that are clearly rumour and urban legend rather than fact. But it was a quick read and overall a good overview of Canada's great hockey rivalry.
