Published in 1994, this book is very much a product of its time. It's full of Victorian and old-world inspired decor right out of the early 90s. The cookie "recipes" call for storebought cookies that you decorate in some way. Many of the other recipes are conglomerations of canned and frozen items, such as soup made from frozen broccoli in cheese sauce and (drum roll...) canned soup. Have you ever wondered how to microwave Cornish game hens, glazed ham, pork loin, rack of lamb, or BEEF RIB ROAST, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY??? Well, you heathen, you'll find it here. In fact, many of the recipes are developed for the microwave, and The Microwave Cooking Library supplied much of the material ("individual titles also available from publisher and in bookstore and fabric stores"). It doesn't suggest microwaving turkey, duck, or goose, but all the other recipes are heavily weighted to the nuker.

I thought this might be good for the vintage aspect. Turns out the 1990s is the wrong decade for that.
