Sasha was such a strong smart woman, why to reduce her to a meek girl, who was pining for a man for 8 years, knowing he was NOT celibate.
And this caricature of a male protagonist offers her a sexual relationship, where he wanted to be a dominant and she a submissive. Are you freaking kidding me???! Why to reduce a cool woman to a jealous insecure hormonal mess?
Speak about killing the book.
Lucky me didn't get to the 1st sex scene.
Dominant, my ass. Ridiculous 🙄

Sasha Brooks has worked with Brian Carpenter in the advertising industry for several years. Her last promotion made him her boss and that’s part of the reason she’s kept their relationship in the friend zone. Sasha’s a “fierce” business woman on the surface, but on the inside she’s fighting a long standing anxiety disorder. Brian, on the other hand, is easy going and laid back…until he takes his clothes off and then he’s in dominant mode.

Ask Me Something by Aubrey Bondurant a fab four star read. This is the second book in the Something series. Each book can be read as stand-alone and are suitable for adults only due to scenes of an adult nature. If you read book one then you would have seen the main characters Sasha and Brian meeting, and in this story we see there chemistry developing and growing, but you don’t have to have seen them meet to get their story.
This book has a great story, and its filled with tales of friendship,

“…I can feel people wanting me to fail.”

Sasha Brooks, or Sasha B-Fierce as her coworkers refer to her, is the calm, cool, collected picture of professionalism, or at least she appears to be. Inwardly, however, she is anything but calm, cool or collected. Having been blindsided as a teenager with some previously unknown truths regarding her personal history, everything Sasha believed about herself was suddenly not true. Overwhelmed when confronted in a humiliating way with this information, s

When I happened on Aubrey Bondurant’s first book by chance, I was impressed and concluded she was an author to keep an eye on. With the release of her second book, I’m even more impressed. She has grown as an author and the strengths evident in her first book are even more pronounced here. The storytelling is tight and the writing fluid without being overly elaborate, packing a punch when it needs to. But where the book really shines is the characters. I don’t think the author could write a dull ...more

Absolutely beautiful! I am very impressed by this second book and the story that takes place. Sasha and Brian are hot in every aspect, especially with the way they are with each other.....(not giving anything away!) I have to admit towards the end of the book I did shed a tear!!!!! Loved this book and can't wait till the next book come out.

Couldn't put it down......

I have read both the first book and now this second book in The Something Series, and highly recommend both. Each book was sexy, funny, and even made me cry. You know the book is "that good" when you get that involved with the characters of the book. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Sasha Brooks and Brian Carpenter have been best friends for years. Both hold high ranking positions at Gamble Advertising. He also happens to be her boss. Sasha had been based in Charlotte but has since relocated to New York. For the last eight years they have flirted and skimmed the surface of their relationship. Only once did they dare to attempt to cross the lines from friends to lovers. But that attempt was thwarted and they never repeated the performance. But it seems Bri

This book was 418 pages of awesome! Although this is Book 2 in the series it can be read as a standalone.

Welcome to the highly competitive and fast-paced world of Gamble Advertising……

The story centres on the long friendship and undeniable sexual chemistry between Sasha Brooks, VP of the New York branch, and her now boss, East Coast Regional President Brian Carpenter.

This is the first book I've read by Aubrey Bondurant, and I absolutely LOVED it! WHAT AN AMAZING STORY!

Sasha Brooks has been focused on having a great career her whole life. Now she's newly promoted as a Vice President in a New York City advertising company. She's beautiful, driven, and fierce, but she's hiding a huge secret that she won't let anyone close enough to find out about. Brian Carpenter has had a secret thing for his newest VP, but Sasha won't let anyone close to her. For 8 years, th

Ask me something is a book that is filled with real world problems. I absolutely loved that the main characters were not flawless like in so many other books. This book was so easy to get sucked into because of how realistic the characters and their problems were. I loved Sasha because even faced with all of the problems she has she never gives up and says "its to hard". She says "give me some feminine power music and some alone time. I'll do it." and that, to me, is what every person in the wor ...more

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites!! I really loved Tell Me Something and couldn't wait to see what she wrote after that one. I was super duper happy when I found out this book was going to be about Brian. OMG....he is YUMMY!!! We first meet both Sasha and Brian in the first book and I must say I was really excited to see that they were going to be together. Brian is one that really swept me off my feet pretty much immediately but by the end of this book I was head over heels in ...more

I received this book from the author through Nerd Girls for an honest review.

The book took a little getting used to, but once I was settled I was intrigued. Sasha is such a control freak yet because she really has no other choice. I loved watching her grow in the warmth of Brian. I also really liked that she was able to climb the corporate ladder even with her anxiety issues. So many women suffer from this disorder and no one ever talks about it. I applaud Bondurant for her accurate portrayal of

It's a fairytale just their happy ever after will be a little naughtier.

Sasha and Brian have been friends and coworkers for years now with Brian as Sasha boss and they finding themselves in a relationship of sorts and the lines get blurred between the two.

I loved to watch these two work out how to make a relationship work with all the factors they have in play. The great friendships they have with the other couples. Then when things get a little out of hand the way Brian goes out of his way to

Aubrey Bondurant is officially one of my favorite authors.
Her debut novel 'Tell Me Something' was amazing and I wasn't sure she could top it. I was mistaken. Sasha and Brian were so real to me that I'm having a hard time with the fact that the book is done.
My only regret is coming into this series too soon as now I have to wait for book 3.
Brilliant read!!!!

Note to author: Do hurry up with book 3, I'm experiencing the mother-of-all book hangovers here.

Ask Me Something (The Something Series Book 2 ) By Aubrey Bondurant

Ask Me Something (The Something Series Book 2 ) By Aubrey Bondurant is the second book in The Something Series. Although this book can be read as a standalone I recommend reading the first book in this series as the characters overlap into the next book. This story is about Brian and Sasha. This story gives us a bit of humor and of course a little drama. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first book and I can't wait to

Incredible Series!

I’m reading this entire series for the second time which is something I rarely do. It’s impossible not to fall in love with all of these characters. The writing and the editing are superb. I would consider Aubrey to be one of the best in character development. Each character is so unique and real.

In Ask Me Something, the chemistry between Sasha and Brian is off the charts. They have worked together in the same advertising company for 8 years. There is no insta-love; they each

Ask Me Something by Aubrey Bondurant is the second book in The Something series, this book and be read as a standalone but we do get to visit the previous characters but not enough to feel like you are lost. This book is a well written story about friends to lovers and Coworkers to lovers. I give 5 stars to, Ask me something (The something series book 2) written by Aubrey Bondurant.

This is a full length standalone with no cliffhanger but part of a series.

Sasha Brooks has worked her way up to vice president of advertising company and it wasn't by playing nice girl! It was through hard work and dedication. The past 8 years she has had playful banter and flirting with Brian he's the boss to all the vice president of the main company. But he's learning he cant control his newest vp.

A brilliant and fast paced friends to lovers story that was an epic inclusion into the Something series by Aubrey Bondurant. This is one fine series that I love more every time I read an instalment.

Career driven Sasha has always put her work before her love life. She kept her attraction to her boss and friend, Brian, as hidden as she could, preferring to focus on her career in case she put her heart out there, only for it to be broken. Her no nonsense determination to make it in an industry heav

This is the third book I have read by this author and it's becoming very clear that she writes amazing characters with even more amazing stories and relationships!

This is the second book of this series and can be read as a stand alone. It does, however, have some continuation of some of the background characters who were main characters in the first book so would be better in order.

This book is as good as the first if not better and I feel that this series will continue to excel. Real characters

This is my second book from this author and they just keep getting better. The story is well thought and flawlessly delivered. The author did a great job with the characters and the back up characters. It had a real charm and indulge you to read book one in the series first to get a better understanding of book two.
