Jake Ramsey watched his parents get murdered when he was a boy. Shortly afterward he was recruited to work for Black Brick, a covert government organization. After Jake survives a shootout while protecting the corrupt executive of a powerful and well connected government contractor, his suspicions grow that the covert government organization he works for has been subverted by somebody who doesn’t have the country’s best interest at heart. The deeper he digs the more he fears he has been lied to about everything, including the details around the deaths of his parents. Jake doesn't know who to believe as he searches for answers, dodges bullets, and is framed for a train bombing. He soon finds himself fighting against the very organization he believed to be on the right side of the law. If you enjoy thrillers with twists and turns, this book is for you. it just ends

Instead of finishing the book, it ends with no resolution. I’m all about imagination but when you read a series this just seems like a ploy to make you buy the next book. Bad PR.

What?

This book is so random. People look for an actual story line, not random action and killing by supposed government employees. There is no real emotion, and constant "growling" by both men and women is stupid.

Brick Black

I actually enjoyed reading this book. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because I hate when the book cannot be read as a stand alone.

Just ok

The problem I had with this book was that there were just too many characters and I had a hard time keeping track of who was involved with what group.

Luckily, this is a short read. It was hard to keep the characters straight and understand what mystery was intended.
