ADDICT was an absolute pulse-pounding, sexy escape. Breathtaking! Powerful! Vivid! I COULD NOT get enough! It took my breath away and completely engaged my mind and my heart. It left my stomach in knots and my body aflame. I was giddy, excited, and emotional the whole way through. This was just pure urban fantasy masterpiece!

Lexi Blake brings so much to the table in her latest installment of her HUNTER series. There is so much humor, exciting suspense, and the steam factor was definitely brought

This book was okay. Firstly I would like to start off by saying that I have nothing against the author and that this review is based on my opinion after reading the book.
It started off well then derailed a bit. The problem is that there are too many characters who do...nothing.

What I don't understand is why Lexi has to do herself. She is always getting hurt, always almost dying, always being "betrayed" one way or another and always falling in love with different men.
As a huge fan of the original Thieves books it pained me to say that I didn't really enjoy Ripper, the first book in this spin off series. I felt that a lot of the people we already knew and loved were acting completely out of character and I just hadn't connected to the new narrator Kelsey as much as I had with Zoey in the original books. So I was a little wary going into Addict, I wanted to like it but I wasn't sure if I would so I'm very happy to report that this was a HUGE improvement for me ...more

I’m heartbroken that I need to wait several months for the next installment because I simply love this series! Lexi Blake has crafted a magnificent world of supernatural creatures, kinky sex, political intrigue, non-stop action and not a small amount of snark to make this series utterly incredible.

First off, let me say that this is not a stand alone book. If you have not read Ripper, the first book in this series, you will truly be lost as to

This is a superior book to Ripper. Yeah, it's a bit waffly in places, a bit infuriating in others, but the people I loved in the original Thieves series regained their personalities back. Hallelujah!

I am well and truly Team Grayson after this book. He annoyed me immensely in book #1 but Ms Blake brought out his best this time. I'm sure he'll piss me off again next book - Lexi Blake tosses character's behaviour around and manipulates them to suit the scenario of the book/series she

Ahhh I'm about to go on this whole long, rambly review because I was so happy with this book.

Let me start off by saying my FAVORITE thing about Lexi Blake's Thieves series has always been the brilliance and perfection and hilariousness of the dialogue and interplay between characters. So often her books have me literally laughing out loud. And I think that was what was lacking for me in Ripper. But luckily it was not lacking in this one. The humor was back, blended seamlessly wit
Kelsey Owens is summoned back to Dallas to begin her official training as King Daniel Donovan's Nex Apparatus only to face a level of scrutiny that will be decide if she lives or dies. Luckily Kelsey's got Marcus, her lover and trainer, to anchor her as she progresses through a booby trapped gauntlet of testing that will determine her fate. There are some who feel strongly that she requires a different trainer during this process while others feel a different anchor (lover) is in her best intere ...more

Addict picks up three months after Ripper left off, where Kelsey and Marcus Vorenus have grown closer together during a stay in his hometown in Italy. Now they are heading back to face the music in Dallas, and maybe save the day. I loved how close Kelsey and Marcus have grown together as I really wanted to see him happy. But there is that pesky prophesy out there that he will one day find his perfect companion. I don't know how I feel about this prophesy - I want Marcus to be happy, but I was ho ...more

Kelsey is now a badass. Instead of being psychotic, she's more of a killing sociopath like Dexter. Except, she is definitely much sexier. With her extremely suave and rich lover, Marcus, Kelsey is ready to take on the damn Vampire King, Daniel. Daniel is an asshole. I'm not sure I like him so much. Dev the fae king is debatable. Zoey is meh.

Now Lee the precocious little boy is delightful. I love this little kid. He is adorable and so cute. He's so much trouble. Out of all the secondary characte
Unfortunately, I have to stop here with the Hunter series. What started off as a promising series crashed and burned for me mid-way to book #2. There were too many fucking characters to follow (more than 15). Kelsey became love sick over Marcus, calling him lover every second - it made my stomach gag. Where was the bad ass in Book 1? In book 2, she became a dependent, weak heroine. Also, from reading other reviews, this is part of the Thieves series, which seems like (view spoiler) ...more

OMG this book! SO MUCH AWESOMENESS. With Marcus and Kelsey back from their training, things heat up SO FAST.

Kelsey jumps right back into the fray when she gets back. Grey is in trouble and problems from the not so distant past are back with her, front and center. A new drug is on the streets and it is causing problems  no one saw coming.

I loved watching Kelsey develop in this book. While the previous book was about discovering who she was, this

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Kelsey Owens is back. She’s grown into her powers and she has a new job - as the king’s Death Machine. She is living with her trainer and lover, Marcus but she isn’t quite over her feelings for Gray. Like the first book, I read this one in a single sitting and I loved every moment of it.

In some ways, this is the most straightforward of the books in this series. Kelsey works with her friends to track down a powerful new drug be

This is definitely my favorite, non-Black Dagger Brotherhood, paranormal series. And, I haven't even read the Thieves portion of the series (which I've decided a need a nice little vacation to catch up on). Kelsey Owens is, by far, one of my favorite book heroines. I love her snarky sense of humor, her lack of self-preservation, and her ability to kick ass. I'd like to think she's me, you know, if I were a half wolf, demon hunter.

This book and series has all the things I look for when I read: h

A very complex book.

Second in a series. Loved the first book, but this one left me confused in places, especially toward the end. You definitely don't want to read book 2 without having read book 1.

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is the second book of this series and you will need to read them in order. Book 2 starts where Book 1 ends.

This is a new look at Kelsey. She is stronger, tougher and has more power than even she knows.

Marcus is her educator, lover and protector all wrapped in to a yummy package. He loves her with all that he can, despite his own prophecy that may or may not be fulfilled. I

I prefer she make something of herself on her own

So I will admit to skimming the whole book. I was...disappointed in the plot this time around. Also a bit in book one, too. There isn't enough depth to the story or characters. I spent book one annoyed with the fact she fell in love so fast though I felt slightly vindicated in the end. I mean, did anyone feel like there was actual romance? I was underwhelmed. And I have no problem with multiple partners, but her falling into bed with Marcus in boo

It actually pained me to rate this second installment in the Hunter series this way but I couldn't let my love of all things Lexi overrule my head and heart on how this particular story played out.

I enjoyed Kelsey's first book, eager to see where her story leads, but was even more excited to stay inside the world of the main characters of the Thieves series. I want to like Kelsey, but she doesn't hold a candle to the heroine that Zoey was. I don't know how you go into this without comparing the

So, I liked this one though I think that is a bit confusing too especially the prophet part .
You do know like is bad when you don't like one thing but then it is the only and realistic possibility...and , also is so nice the romantic kind of vampires and demons that frequently we find in the books but those Mrs Black portrays are one kind more realistic and crude of supernatural: so Marcus is waiting his companion, Gray is good but always a demon with one bad family and rules and the ki
Aw, this is gettin' good. I'm so glad I went back and read Lexi's Thieves series because this book is full of intermingling characters and continuation of storylines from the previous five books. While it's not necessary, I'd recommend ya read those first, before starting her Hunter books. I'm super anxious for book 3 (Sleeper) next - out in Oct 2017. ...more

I'm conflicted on reading since I'm worried about the outcome of who will live and die (especially the MC from the thieves series) or what romantic relationships will last.

I'm going to hold off on buying until series is over.

I love the world Lexi Blake has created. The first series was great and this one is turning out great as well. Can't wait for the next one.

Addict is book 2 in the Hunter Series and book 7 in the entire Thieves Series. I haven’t read the first 5 books in the Thieves series. I started with Ripper and loved that book too.

OMG what an ending! Addict is riveting. I was kept on the edge of my seat, biting my nails (figuratively) waiting to see what was going to happen next. The ending of this book is very intense.

Addict is a continuation of Kelsey Atwood now Owens (since she found out about her true father. She changed her last name to h

3.25-3.5 stars. This review covers Ripper and Addict. The Hunter series focuses on Kelsey Owens, a Hunter and the new Nex Apparatus. This series takes places 9 or 10 years after the last book in the Thieves series. When Ripper starts, Kelsey is an ordinary PI investigating insurance fraud and cheating spouses. But she soon finds out that there is way more to her than she thought. She is soon thrown into a supernatural world and also a mess of trouble.

As Kelsey's powers grow, she's brought back to Dallas to be with the Vampire counsel and their families. Marcus is with her but she feels herself growing apart from him. Especially after she sees Gray.

He's been part of her thoughts and she's often thought about "what if" during their time apart, but she knows that their time together is limited, or is it?

As she begins investigating this new drug that is affecting the shifte

This is the 2nd book of the Thieves spinoff series, Hunter. Kelsey is the new Nex Apparatus for King Daniel of the Vampires. She's wild, powerful, and a human/hunter hybrid. This book takes us further along in her journey of training, showing us a glimpse of her potential. Filled with demons, vampires, shifters, werewolves, humans, and other forms of life, this series is holding my attention very much like the one that spawned it, Thieves. Both series have strong female protagonists, both are fi ...more

Lexi Blake brings us the next in the Hunter Series with Kelsey, Gray and Marcus! This time Kelsey is up against an unknown villian who is supplying the supes with a drug that makes them enraged and uncontrollable. When the problem hits too close to home, Kelsey must join forces with an old love, family and friends to battle a nearly unkillable demon.

This is the second book in the series. The first book hooked me but this book just totally left me wanting more. One moment I'm rooting for marcus and the next it's gray! Ugh I'm so torn. My poor kelsey she's already been through so much and still keeps fighting. Just when I thought all would be well more was thrown at me. Man I am addictecd to this series lol. I like Kelsey better than Zoey. She was smart and tough but Zoey always needed her wolves, husbands, or whoever to save her. Kelsey on the other hand is completely capable of saving herself. She's basically what I wanted Zoey to be. I can see that the author is going to do the poly stuff with Kelsey and I don't know how I feel about that. I guess that the theme of the books. This book pulled me in and had me reading with all my free time. Kelsey, Marcus, and Grey's story moved forward quickly when it comes to the overall arc of the series. This book focused more on Kelsey and Marcus' relationship, but Grey had quite a few interactions as well. New abilities were discovered and they were pretty dang cool. I can't wait for the third book about this trip to come out and I definitely recommend this book.
