Who is in Control Anyway?

Cyber Attack continues the Boston Brahmin Political Thrillers series with a sneaky twist. A former professor from Harvard heads a group of black hat hackers who style themselves the Zero Day Game Players. Taking advantage of vulnerabilities in computer networks that security systems can't prepare for, the Players start by seizing control of a 757 airplane for ransom.

In the background, the machinations of the Boston Brahmin's are scary to behold. Not only are they influencing the actions of the IMF, the Global Monetary Fund as well as the rest of the global financial markets, but they are involved in the current Presidential election.

Racial tension begin to build over police brutality and the Black Lives Matter organization is born and explodes across American cities. South Boston is virtually burned to the ground after a riot.

The Loyal Nine is given marching orders to harden and prep the Boston residence for long term survival. Donald Quinn is put in charge and does an amazing job.

Right about now, you start to get the feeling that something quite ugly is coming down the pike. Each new cyber hacking event gets more frightening. The hair on the back of your neck is standing up, your mouth is very dry.

Bobby Akart has plans for America and they are decidedly not peaceful. What will become of Dick and Jane American? Will they survive the storm that is coming? You'll have to read the next book in the series to find out.

The best way to describe this book is that it is a terrifying look at what could actually happen to the USA in the very near future on an economic and political level. Cyber attacks escalate all around the globe throwing the USA into what is termed a Cyber War. The sitting president seeks to extend his term beyond the 8 years that are coming to an end through threats of martial law and the suspension of Posse Comitatus. And, The Boston Brahmin is using all of this for their financial gain.
Akart’s book, Cyber Attack, The Boston Brahmin Series Book 2 follows the struggles of The Loyal Nine as they prepare for disaster while following the direction of John Morgan and The Boston Brahmin. This very frightening look at a real world possible outcome for the USA is thought provoking and enlightening.
If this book doesn’t cause you to think, I don’t know what will. I can’t wait to see how it all ends.

I guess a background is necessary and the author's writing is good but there are several parts of this book I just skimmed. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the Blackout series because it is f a st paced. I wish I could like any of the main characters but I am not a rabid conservative so much of the sniping at people who are not conservative is presented. I suppose if you only live in white bread America you can easily believe that people of color have somehow hurt this country. Even the rancher from Montana knows that it is the corruption of the values we used to have and the corruption of the congress that will lead us to destruction. With the current Trump insanity that will destroy us, the conservatives got what they wanted. Be careful what you wish for.

Impressive book with real characters you can relate to. I couldn't stop reading! The prophetic nature of this book to real-world scenarios is frightening. Addictive writing and a superb story. A formidable addition to Bobby Akart's 'Boston Brahmin' series!

Argh!!! Bobby has done it again.

This book is so pauseable with the cyber events, and makes one wonder about the behind the scenes chess game of politics. I find it interesting to read this after the election, so much happens that was in the news. The one political person not named is so obvious it's funny. So if you're into what cyber hacking can/could do and/or puppet theories of government this book and series is for you. Now off to start Martial Law.

A BA. SYFY. Novel About the Boston Brahmin series(2)

BA. had. penned the 2nd novel of the Boston Brahmin better know as the Loyal Nine, which are members of the original founders of the United States. The rich, or too 5%, are preparing for the termination of society as we know it. The signs are there and the peppers have been preparing for this event for years. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Survival thriller

The political machinations continue in book two as Morgan steers the Brahmins, political parties, candidates, military and corporations toward a reset. The loyal nine have been feeling an impending crisis is close but they have no idea how close it is and that is being deliberately created. The Zero Game hackers find themselves coerced into providing the final catalyst.

"Mind Blowing Novel I Could Not Put Down"

Here in book 2, America is full of bad news as the nation leans toward collapse. Cyber attacks are rampant. The Loyal Nine continue to try to save America. Another winning novel by Outstanding Author Bobby Akart. I can't stop reading his exciting, thoughtful novels.

Great read

As usual Bobby gets it right. This book was easier to read than the first one. Once I began to understand the different characters and attempt to discern the good guys from the bad guys. I’m still not sure which side some of the characters fall on. It certainly gives a look inside some possible conspiracy theories.

It's definitely not my favorite of his. One of the things I like most about this author is how he weaves a web of fiction with some facts tossed into the mix as well. He builds scenarios that could actually happen. He also provides a lot of details, which I enjoy usually, but this time, I felt is bogged the plot building down a bit. Hoping the series gets a bit more exciting.

This book is more build up and clarity of the plans of the Boston Brahmin. A lot of current political figures are in this book, though they obviously don't have the experiences portrayed in the book. I do hope that something action-wise happens in the next book.

Great storytelling!

Excellent writing! I'm officially hooked. Sometimes the novels get very intense with their historical references , but that's okay .... it's called learning - by Professor Bobby!

This is playing out in out very lives today; not all parts, but enough times for A CALL TO ACTION. Scenes of this story could be taken from today's headlines as our country races to multiple divisions. Have any of these events shown up in your life. Read for your own edification.

This book is scary realistic. I had difficulty (like with all Bobby's books) setting this down. Once read, I immediately downloaded Martial Law, the next in the series.
I did not read the first book, so the book is a good standalone.

Slow Start and Then...!

Like The Loyal Nine, Cyber Attack started off slowly. I couldn't tell the good guys from the bad until just before the lights went...!

Like a well oiled machine , the next installment in the Boston Brahmin series is precise in its rise to the top of its genre. The story delivers a heartpounding ride as an aircraft is overtaken. The captain and his crew are at a loss as to how someone could intercept their fireproof state of the art computer system. Beware people, the hackers are back and more daring than ever. Finally as the captain retains control of the aircraft, a message pops up on the computer screen. It says, "Thank you for flying with Zero Day Gamers Airways." That's about the time I would gather my family , run like hell and bunker down. The attacks become more frequent, more powerful and more realistic. The government is doing underhanded deals while trying to stay in control. Sounds like a page ripped from the latest breaking story in America right now. Bobby has stepped up his game and added new dimensions to characters with more urgency and survival. The book is a first class thriller with twists that has your heart beating fast as America prepares for the ultimate cyber attack. Bobby's technical knowledge is outstanding and makes the story so believable that an urgency to find shelter should be sounded . America you have been warned. Are you prepared?

This book is ludicrously unrealistic. I'd advise you not to waste money on this book.

Here's one example: By next year the following scene will supposedly take place. A man running a farm in California will take water out of wells on his own land in excess of the amount that is stipulated for water rationing. Rather than send a letter of warning or at worst a man in a suit with a clipboard explaining that he went over his allotment, the book suggests that the first response will be a tactical team sent out to the farm. The farmer confronts them on his front porch and is not armed other than waving a U.S. flag. Rather than verbally warm him and give him some kind of notice they simply gun him down. This scenario is so over the top that it is inadvertently funny.

The book is also filled with long passages of preachy, tiresome political lectures.

One final example: it is revealed towards the end of the book that the President of the United States is plotting with people to bring down the electrical grid of the United States. Why? So that he can stay in power longer than his eight year term.

Yep. If this sounds good to you then you might want to read it. But I think most people will not find this entertaining or realistic.

Bobby Akart's explosive Boston Brahmin series continues with Cyber Attack.
A reset of the USA is desired, and the people in power put all the pieces in place for this to occur.
Like book 1, Cyber Attack is a frightening realistic story, that leaves no detail unrevealed.
The author just isn't interested in skimming important information, and again his expert knowledge of economics, and politics, takes this to a level far above a lot of other writers. By the end of book 2, the reset begins.
Because of the brilliant attention to every detail, you the reader can see the whole plan coming together, and its intricacies.
Powerful stuff from one of the finest writers ive ever read.

Picking up where we left off in The Loyal Nine, this is a continuation of the rapid decline of the economy and civil unrest is rampant through the states. Mr. Akart has delivered another masterpiece that delves into possible scenarios for the end of the world as we know it. He also uses prepper plans to convey the urgency of the situation through his characters.

A quote from Benjamin Franklin is used liberal throughout the series. "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail."

I continue to remain impressed at the thorough research, and time, Akart has put into this series. I live a book that I can't put down--yet while I am being entertained by his political --at times too close to current reality-- thriller, I am being better educated in the political, geopolitical, and cyberspace/cybercrime world.

For as much substance Akart weaves into his story, this second in his series was nail biting and kept my interest.

Akart has hit the pulse of politics and who the real threats are to America--so close it's scary!
