This is an amazing book with great illustrations that depict historical events that have occurred. I personally like the text because of it's none biased stance on many controversial historical acts(The Inquisition, the African slave trade, Pilgrims and Native American encounters, etc). This is a "reader friendly" book for kids 8+ years, and it has great pictures for those that just want to "picture walk" through it's pages.

Great overview of man’s progress from flint to United Nations. Unfortunately, it was copyrighted in 1973 and much has changed in 45 years

Was a pretty good summary of a long period of time. Obviously not incredibly detailed, but that's okay.
