The Ghost Hunter's Guidebook by author and paranormal investigator Troy Taylor not only solves the mystery of how to find ghosts, but dozens of others as well! This manual is the essential guide to conducting paranormal research, written by a real ghost hunter with years of experience in the field. This book will provide you with a step-by-step guide to conducting a paranormal investigation, plus tell you how to know if your location is really haunted. It also answers questions How do you use ghost detection devices? What is the most common type of haunting? Why do some ghosts wear clothes? How do you capture ghosts on film? Are Ouija boards really dangerous? Can ordinary audio machines really record the voices of the dead? How do you get rid of a ghost? And much more!
I learned alot from this book on the topic, but a little too much on topics that I could have researched on my own if I wanted to, such as the history of photography, starting with the first photograph. I did learn alot about how to conduct investigations and what equipment one would need. I still need to learn HOW to use that equipment. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic, but there is not any ONE book that I think would serve as a single complete reference. I will continue reading other books by other authors on the topic.
So far I haven't read a better guidebook than this. It describes both the basics and more advanced stuff, generally everything each ghost hunter should keep in mind when doing paranormal investigations.
The language is simple (I'm non-native English speaker), but I have to say, the font is terrible, generally, the DTP and pages layout seems unprofessional at least.
Still, the content is what really matters, and the content is good.
some good information in there for preparing for ghost hunt...not sure if I agree with all his opinions but like he says many times..they are HIS opinions....and it is all up to the individual to decide...if interested in ghost hunting worth reading though
Not a bad little book. Mostly concentrated on how to ghost hunt which was semi interesting but if you have seen a lot of ghost hunting shows its all the same stuff. I wanted to get to the ghost stories and most of them were VERY short unfortunately. But overall not a bad book.
A great introduction to the scientific investigation of the paranormal. While, I don't agree with every word in this book, it's a great "first" for the new Paranormal Investigator!
