When Spider's letter to Santa Bug is returned he mails himself, Ladybug and Fly to the North Pole to look for him. They find him stuck in his chimney, pull him out and, with the help of other flies, help him deliver his presents.

I usually enjoy the How Spider series better than I enjoyed this book. I like how Robert Kraus give the different bugs, spider, ladybug and fly different personalities. And I like how spider problems solves. Spider is not afraid to take a leadership role. I like how in the solution to a problem, there are still many other problems that need to be solved. Life is often like that. Notice how even though the problem is solved, there is still one who grumbles. Life is sometimes like that as well.
If you like paring books with aromatherapy as much as I do, may I suggest doTERRA's Holiday Joy. I recommend this not just because I think it smells like Christmas feels when Christmas is at its best, so it's a great pairing with most Christmas books. But I also suggest it because it has cinnamon in it. And cinnamon is the superman essential oil. The essential oil that is great to diffuse when you need to put on your hero suit and become the problem solver, the leader.
**Talking points - Who do the bugs turn to when they have problems? Who do you generally turn to when you have problems? Which bug is the leader in this story? Who is the leader in your family? How? Are different family members leaders in different ways, perhaps one leading out on the fun and one leading out on the connection, one leading out on getting the work done? What do you tend to lead out on? Which leaders to you admire most? Why? How are your trying to develop your leadership ability? At the end of the story, ladybug and spider were happy. Why? At the end of the story, fly was grumbling. Why? Was spider the hero? Does helping people and being a problem solver tend to make you feel happy? What is jealousy? When do you feel jealous? When you feel jealous, what can you do to overcome that feelings? Why do you think we sometimes feel feelings like jealously or sadness or anger? Should feelings like that be avoided at all costs? Or do they have a good purpose? If they have a good purpose, what is the purpose? Talk about a problem that you have helped solve. How did you feel about yourself afterwards? Talk about a time when someone was a hero in your life. How did that feel?
