Sin #2

Sweet Sacrifice

Rate this book
Bold and brassy, Sash Adams is an unemployed recent law school graduate struggling to raise her young brother alone. Why would anyone target her brother, Sweet, as a kidnap victim? Even more baffling is why would the kidnappers demand the ransom for him from a complete stranger? Desperate, Sash is willing to do almost anything to get her brother back. Reluctantly, she is forced to form a dangerous alliance with arrogant, media mogul, Brandon Plaine. As personalities clash, tempers flare and passions ignite, both Sash and Brandon are faced with the question of just how much each is willing to sacrifice to assure her brother's safe return.

Sweet Sacrifice was an excellent novel. It demonstrated an appetite for the written word. As the plot thickened as to who kidnapped Sweet and as to why, the interest of the reader increased. The writer kept taking spins with each paragraph turning a mystery novel into a believable love romance where opposites attract.

The flow of the paragraphs highlighted the writer’s style as clear, concise, and believable. The reader can actually imagine the setting from the description and the events unfolding. The character Sash appeared very bold and determined to get her brother, Sweet, back. But, at the same time she seemed ungrateful and unreasonable in her emotions as she kept reliving a past relationship resolute not to lose her independence. Her character was sensual and demonstrated the love a parent would have for a child.

Brandon Plaine was successful, powerful, and shrewd. However, he learned that intangibles are very important in having a full life, for example, the intangibles of compromise, sharing, and trust. His character represent a fact that everyone carries a secret or burden he/she must bear or deal with in his/her own time. The author in this novel invented a complex man with several instincts including being shrewd and caring. His actions and words were intelligent. Also, what I saw most and appreciated the best, from Brandon Plaine’s character, was his patience with Sash. Especially, when she was irrational.

Sasha Adams and her brother has been kidnapped, Sasha hear the kidnappers talking about Brandon Plaines. When she escape she track down Brandon for help. Great story of learning to trust, family, love and a just a little suspense.

Sweet Sacrifice

This story starts off with Sash making an escape from kidnappers. She searches and finds Brandon a wealthy businessman who has the funds to pay the kidnappers to get her 5 year old brother back. Once Brandon gets over his suspicions, he helps to get Sweet back. Happy and surprised ending. Good storyline.
