I was interested in reading her books after listening to a pod cast she was on. I found her to be abit quirky. This book did nothing for me. Good luck.
I recently finished reading Wear Your Life Well by Marilu Henner. You may remember her from the TV show Taxi.
'Wear Your Life Well" is meant to help you achieve a healthier life. This means stress, exercise, getting out of your comfort zone, and using your brain. I do agree with Ms. Henner that you can look at person and see a little of their lives. You can tell if someone is truly happy, healthy and vibrant. She gives the example of a beautiful women eating at a restaurant in near tears. Of course we do not know what had happen to this woman, but this woman's life is apparently not what she wanted. If this woman had lived her life in a certain way, would she be so upset? Would she appear to be so unhappy? If she lived your life in a certain way, she could have appeared completely different and successful.
For me, yes, I want to be successful but more importantly I would love to come across as a happy person. Someone who is full of life, healthy, smart and beautiful. I agree that by doing the things written in this book, can help me achieve this.

Let me preface this by saying that Marilu's Total Health Makeover changed my life (as dorky as that makes me sound). I'm not sure, however, that this book really needed to be written. It rehashes a lot of THM, but in a way that doesn't add anything. New material wasn't overly helpful. I would recommend reading other books by this loopy but interesting author.
Try as I might I could not get into this book. Perhaps because she began by talking about her experience on the Apprentice, which I haven't watched more than a handful of times, she lost me right from the get-go. Even selecting certain chapters didn't help...it's hard for me to read books when the author sounds kind of...(um)...ditzy.
Marilu's enthusiasm is contagious! Loved her memorable tips and humor---she even offered advice on the best way to bathe! :) Recipes at the back of the book were not too complicated---very healthy with ingredients you can get find easily.
