This is mostly great. I feel like I should be reading my boys to sleep, but at their age, they don't exactly follow along with the stories. I would sing to them more, but I tend to forget the lyrics to songs. This collection of nursery rhymes hits the spot -- I read the book to them, hopefully setting the state for much book-reading to follow, but as I do, I sing the songs. I don't forget the lyrics, because they're right there.

Two quibbles that prevent this from being a 5-star book.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Other Favorite Bedtime Rhymes includes seventeen nursery rhymes to be read or sung at bedtime. The illustrations are sweet and charming, done in soft pastels and showing cute, round-faced characters. Most of the rhymes are fairly short, with a few longer rhymes included like “Hush, Little Baby” and “Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear.” This is a perfect book for new parents that don’t remember or do not yet know the words to many popular nursery rhymes. Its soft padded cove ...more

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and other Favourite Bedtime Stories is beautiful illustrated with bright colors and simple pictures for little readers. I like the mixture of all-time classics with rhymes that I was introduced to in this book. My daughter (not yet two) sits through this whole book and gazes at the illustrations until the very end. The catchy rhymes keep her entertained, and I notice that she has her favourite already. This is a great book for little ones who love the sing-song tune o ...more

I wouldn't buy this book, maybe check it out from the library. I don't like nursery rhymes in general because they're about horrid things or are just plain weird. The illustrations are this book's saving grace.

Another Tiger Tails I would purchase for my grandbabies! Nursery rhymes, songs, sayings all together to make a great little book for toddlers and our youngest learners.

A book which is a joy to hold and read.
Nice set of nursery rhymes that are pleasant to the ear and good at convincing my son it's time to go to sleep.

Good illustrations perfect for my new little talker... but these are the old rhymes that aren't very PC... (ex: rock a bye baby... down will come baby, cradle in all)
