My first Shelly Bell and I loved it! Couldn't stop reading. Now I need to read more of this series and yes, I can't wait for the next one.

Wow, Wow, and WOW! I was hooked from page one and had I the time, I have no doubt I would have read this in one sitting. BLUE BLOODED by Shelly Bell is fast-paced, action-packed, sensual, sexy, and downright excitement filled with every turn, twist, and white-knuckle page turn. Shelly has packed in everything that could make a story grand, exciting, sexually adventurous, romance driven, and character exceptional. I don’t know if the first two books are this good but I surely plan to find out.

Rachel and Logan burn up the pages with the sexual tension that exists between them from the start but as you start to see the control shift and wobble between them, you feel the attraction grow and become more. Logan is all about control but when he thinks he can no longer maintain it, he surprises you. Rachel is also all about control but when she gives it over to Logan, she realizes that there is more to control than who is pushing the buttons. It’s about give and take, and control becomes more about allowing someone to do what he, or she, needs to do rather than doing it for them.

BLUE BLOODED, book 3 in the Benediction series by Shelly Bell is most definitely erotic romance. It takes you into the world of BDSM, its light, its darkness, its smells, sounds, pain, and pleasure. However, it doesn’t saturate the pages with it, but rather turns the sexual adventures into yet another in-depth and living character in the story. Whereas it might not be for everyone, I highly recommend it…you can always skip the erotic sex scenes…for the story, the emotional relationships, the surrendering of one strong dominating personality to another and vice versa. BLUE BLOODED is a thrill ride, not only for the erotic sexual scenes but also for the imaginative and terrifying plot line which could so easily happen in today’s world…truth always is more strange, and more often, terrifying than fiction. I am absolutely so eager to experience more of the world of Benediction.

Holy Mother of Pearl, this book rocked! Her characters are always fantastic. I loved Rachel and I've been waiting for her book ever since she appeared as a background character in White Collared. As for Logan, well... I must have blacked out during his scenes because I didn't remember him from the previous books. It didn't take me long to fall in love with him, though. Especially in one scene with Rachel when they're...ahem...and he says...ahem... That is ALL I'm saying because you MUST experience that scene first hand. Swoon-freaking-tastic! The sexual tension between Logan and Rachel was off the charts. It was amazing! The foreplay between these two... Holy moly! Can I get some of that?? From start to finish, Blue Blooded kept me riveted. This book had it all... Sizzling sexual chemistry with elements of BDSM. Sweet and tender moments that'll make you giggle and blush. Suspense that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. All of this packed in one hot little package. Shelly Bell has easily become one of my favorite authors and I can't wait for Sawyer and Lisa's book.

To say that I am super excited to read another book from the phenomenal Shelly Bell might just be an understatement! I have been addicted to her work from the White Collar trilogy and now we are back at the benediction club with her latest installment called Blue Blooded.

We start our story with corruption, death, intrigue and of course hot BDSM sex! We met Rachel Dawson, the hard nosed journalists in the previous Benediction book, but now we find out so much more about her. We start in dungeon, where Lisa and Kate are showing her around, that is until she runs into Logan Bradford; Kate’s law partner and as normal, he taunts her into being tired up, but just before she orgasms, Anthony Rinaldi (murderer, kidnapper and all around disgusting pig) shows up. Despite being forbidden by Logan to go out and witness Rinaldi getting kicked off the property (yeah! Like we know Rachel is going to do that), she sneaked outside to watch what happens…only Logan finds her and then; talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time! Rinaldi gets assassinated by two crooked FBI agents

So now Logan and Rachel are on the run, their reputations and lives on the line but they are both determined to not only clear their own names but to expose the villains and put a stop to this after all! But will they survive? And will Rachel and Logan ever realize that that spark between them straddles the fine line between love and hate!

Okay, so I am just going to put it out there! I am truly obsessed with this book, the characters and the whole Benediction crew! Add to the the new Las Vegas crew (especially Hunter and Oz) and really, I could honestly been in love with this crew for years to come!

Like all Shelly Bell books, Blue Blooded suck you in and it makes you fill like you are truly watching a big budget Hollywood movie, not sitting on your sofa in the middle of the day. The writing, plot and characters are simply perfect and I truly loved every second of this book!

I give Blue Blooded a very well deserved 10 out of 10!! And now I am left panting for the next book!

I walked into this series blind, not realizing this was the 3rd book. The good thing, the author gives enough back story that you didn't need the other books to enjoy it.

Rachel is a journalist determined to write a story that is going to get her to network news. She decides an expose on the local BDSM club is the way to do it. Instead, she finds herself running from the law and trying to clear her name with the one man she shouldn't want, Dom Logan Bradford.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Logan and Rachel together. There first few moments of "page time" had me wondering if a relationship was going to be possible between them. But the more they were together and the defensive walls they had around themselves fell, the more I realized they were perfect for each other.

They each had their own issues to overcome due to their family lives. But once they understood they didn't have to be dictated by their past, they both seemed to embrace their feelings for each other. Sex helped them break through those barriers and understand what they meant to each other.

Blue Blooded was an enjoyable book. There was lots of action and intrigue, along with some pretty hot sex. The characters were enjoyable and the storyline kept me entertained. Shelly Bell was a new author to me, but I'm definitely interested in her back list now.

A "Knotty" Delight
Shelly Bell never ceases to amaze me with her sexy thrillers. Blue Blooded is a solid 4.5 star novel. I am honored to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Logan Bradford is a computer genius, but that's not his only speciality. He belongs to a very high end BDSM in Detroit, Michigan and his talent of tying someone up makes him a very sought out person at the club. His looks, passion, and charm have made Rachel Dawson aware of his presence, but all it took was for him to open his mouth to see his "self centered" side, but for reasons beyond her understanding she wants to know Logan better.
As Rachel, a news reporter in Detroit, is on assignment at Benediction, the high end BDSM club, she happens to run into Logan. After a brief exchange of egos Logan offers to demonstrate his "knotty" abilities to Rachel with her being his object to tie up. As the fun begins, and steam starts to form, Logan, is called outside to deal with a matter of great importance. Logan tells Rachel to stay put, but she does listen. What comes next?!?!? Murder, false accusations, running for your life, and much more.
Blue Blooded is an adults only novel. It deals with mature themes, situations, and a lot of "knotty" fun. I highly recommend this book and the entire Benediction series to a reader that enjoys a suspense romance novel mixed with the kink, so I guess I would call that Suspenseful Kink! ;)

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for a Wicked Reads~~

Although this is the third book in the series, it also read well as a standalone. That said I plan on going back and catching up - because the writing is good and I liked the characters a lot.

I would issue a small warning - nothing to do with the main protagonists, but there is some quite extreme stuff described, and abuse uncovered, which might upset some people. It is absolutely in context and relevant, but I was surprised it isn't mentioned, as so often it is flagged.

The story is fast paced, fun, furious and exciting. It could definitely make a good film - in fact I even have ideas about the cast! I really enjoyed the plot, the subplots and the romance - which was hot, hot and hotter as things got real. It is a real feast of a story, which I highly recommend to you - and the ending is tantalising (for another couple entirely!) ...

... well I am ready for the next book, so I do hope Ms Bell is busy crafting more adventures!

Shelly Bell is a master at writing seriously hot books that are insanely suspenseful. This book is no different. The chemistry between Rachel and Logan is so incredibly hot! Adding to that are the sexy friends of Logan and you get some really erotic scenes in this book. The suspense in this book will keep you on your toes. It is just the right mixture of suspense and sexiness. There is also an emotional aspect in this book. Rachel comes from a background that has kept her from having relationships because she is afraid to give up any of herself to another person. Logan pushes those boundaries and Rachel has to decide if she can handle this relationship. Between the hotness, suspense and emotion, you have one powerful combination of a book. I can't wait to read the next one in this series! Great job Ms. Bell!

The book may be called Blue Blooded but you will be anything but blue when you read it! You will probably be a little red from some blushing and the heat factor! This book is a very well written suspense novel that happens to be told from within the BDSM world. It is gripping and will keep you on your toes due to the trouble the two main characters find themselves in. The characters of Rachel and Logan are written with such detail that you feel like you are invested in them. Add in the heat factor that is hotter than the sun and you will agree that this book is a definite to be read! I felt like I was on the edge of my seat throughout because the writing is intense and I could not wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. A perfect combination of suspense and heat!

Awesome

Rachel is an investigative reporter and is doing a story on BDSM. She goes to a club run by her friend's husband. She is tough, beautiful, and independent. She is wanting to get a story that will move her to the big leagues.
Logan is an attorney who is a member of the club. He challenges Rachel to let him bind her. They are interrupted when a mob boss shows up. He is killed by two rogue FBI agents. Logan and Rachel are framed for the murder and now they are on the run for the life.
While trying to escape the bad guys and the police, they decide that until they clear their names, she will let him dominate her in the bedroom. Can she do it and keep her heart?
Great story. I almost didn't read it because it only tells Rachel's point of view. I like both views told. Their is lots of sex, rope tying, and a threesome. It has suspense and a little bloody. Be prepared to need a cold shower.

*I received this ARC from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review*

Rachel is a reporter/journalist who will stop at nothing to get the big story first and be the best of the best; even if it means risking her life. Logan is a hot shot attorney who is also a member of the hottest BDSM club in town and a practicing Dom who specializes in ropes.

This book is one of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Im guessing from the interactions of Rachel and Logan in the beginning of the story that maybe they were mentioned in the prior books, IDK, but I do know that whatever has happened before, they do not like each other. Logan believes Rachel to be a stuck up prude, only out to advance her career and she believes him to be an overbearing Dom who is in love with her friend Kate (also Logan's law partner) but who is currently a submissive collared to someone else. {deep breath}

After a brief intro to some shady criminal activity, we are introduced to the main characters with Rachel getting a tour of the BDSM club so she can write an article for her job. Logan, one of the on-site Doms offers her some first hand experience. She begrudgingly agrees and he proceeds to tie her up. This, of course, very quickly gets all kinds of sexy and interesting and... they get interrupted when some stuff happens outside. Logan tells Rachel to stay put and not follow him, but of course she does and this is where ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE.

The book doesn't release for a few weeks still so im not going to throw spoilers. It was very, very well written. The BDSM was on the light side I would say. I didn't find anything offensive about it. The characters were well developed and scenes properly explained. I really loved Logan's character. He had a soft side that he really was not afraid to show and even a good sense of humor. What I could not get past was Rachel. I really hated her. She was just a total whinebag who tried to make herself some tough girl badass, but she had a miserable attitude. I kept thinking I would warm up to her or she would soften up, but I never liked her and I tried, I really did.

This was my first book from Shelly Bell but ive been looking at her Amazon list and there are some definite One Clicks on there! ;)

All in all, I give Blue Blooded 4****wickedgoodstars and Im definitely going to be looking for more from this author. Thank you Barclay for the opportunity to review this book! -asw

Alright, friends.

So this story is basically about these two people who have a boatload of sexual tension between them (yes, this is worth mentioning LOL) who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and then everything went to Hades from there. It sounds like one of those made-for-TV movies I love to watch on the DIVA channel.

Now that I think about it, the start of this story is a bit funny--one minute rope bondage "WE SHOULD TOTES BANG" demo, the next minute SOMEBODY GOT DEAD and then WE ARE NOW FUGITIVES HOW DID WE EVEN GET HERE???

While I enjoyed the whole mystery/suspense of the story, I can't say I'm in love with it because I'm not really invested in the characters. Rachel annoys me from the moment she's introduced, so it put a damper on my reading experience. I was totally absorbed in the conspiracy surrounding the plot though, that little twist in the end had me go WHAT??? I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING???

What I'm totally excited about it is the next book in this series, featuring Logan's best friend Sawyer and another side character, Lisa. FINALLY. A HEROINE WITH MY NAME. She sounds like interesting, and the epilogue ends in a way that guarantees me picking up the next book. I definitely want to know what the deal is between these two.

Suspense, drama and the incredible dominant willing to use BDSM on his submissive. Please excuse me while I fan myself, grab a glass of water and wonder why I never knew Shelly Bell wrote novels until Blue Blooded. Trust me, she absolutely grabs your attention once the action begins - but you do have to be patient until the basics of the novel are placed and the characters backgrounds are explained. I must admit however that the preparation of the characters until the action began, or rather until the novel grabbed my attention, was long and I almost decided not to finish, yet, deciding to keep going was a saving grace. Considering the enjoyment I had reading this novel it is certain that Shelly Bell will be on my to watched list.

After spending the good part of a week feeding my series OCD and reading the previous books in the series, I found myself having mixed feelings about starting Blue Blooded.

You see, Rachel had not made a huge impression on me and I was hesitant about reading her story. Thankfully, Logan was one of the previous characters that had caught my eye so I decided to give the book a try before letting myself be led by my feelings towards Rachel.

And I am glad that I decided to go ahead with this read. Although the beginning felt a bit awkward with that first scene between Logan and Rachel, as the story progressed and the plot started evolving, I found myself immerse in the story and enjoying both the romance and the intrigue brought the author brought to the page.

Of course, it helped that Logan and Rachel had great chemistry and that the author didn't miss a beat in bringing it to the page. Those two were hot together and the sexual tension whenever they were together jumped off the page.

Although not an overly emotional story, Shelly Bell did infuse some rather intense emotions--especially in regards to Logan and Rachel's hesitancy in coming together. They both had issues they needed to deal with and these brought about a nice range of emotions that helped to round up the story well.

Keep in mind that although this is the third book in the Benediction series it can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed visiting with some of the past characters and getting to know some new ones along the way. There was action, some mystery and a hell of a lot of steamy scenes to keep me interested throughout.

All in all, a fantastic steamy read with the right kind of elements blended in to make it worthwhile.

Wow! I'm blown away by this book - it is awesome! A powerful, suspenseful thriller combined with a super sexy romance, this book grabs you by the scruff of the neck and takes you on a passion fueled roller coaster ride. I haven't read the previous books in the series, but I had no problem following it. The suspense story is exciting with lots of twists and turns, it was a real page turner than continued to surprise me with twists in the story. The romantic storyline is full of passion and some seriously hot bondage scenes.

Rachel is a news reporter who's working on an investigation into the BDSM scene at an exclusive sex club when she's talked into trying a bondage scene with shibari expert Logan. There is definitely a spark between the pair - but it usually erupts into a huge argument. Just as the spark is about to lead to a more pleasurable explosion Rachel and Logan are interrupted and end up witnessing a brutal murder. When they are framed for the murder they go on the run and attempt to untangle a web of intrigue and clear their names.

Rachel is an interesting character. Initially she comes across as a bit selfish and ruthless, but when you learn her background you can't help liking her. Logan is amazing, I loved the way he took care of Rachel and helped her learn to let go and trust. The BDSM scenes between them were amazingly hot, but I also found the way Logan used them to help Rachel to be incredibly touching.

There aren't enough words to say how good this book really is - all I'm going to say now is that it's a must read. Five stars!

In "Blue Blooded" by Shelly Bell, we hear the story of Logan and Rachel. Can you say HOT?!?! I had to break out the fan for this one - Ms. Bell writes scenes that are so steamy yet very tastefully done. Logan, a DOM, introduces Rachel, a reporter, to the world of bondage as part of her "research" for a story on the lifestyle. Logan is sexy and tough but, boy oh boy, he's also sweet and tender. Rachel is one lucky woman. Rachel took a while to warm up. When a heroine fights love and tenderness as much as she does - when they want to be "tough", it doesn't always sit well with me. However, as Ms. Bell develops the characters, I grew to really love Rachel. The story contains some darkness as well - just a note - it's not all happy and fluff. This only adds to the story and is relevant but be warned. There is action and suspense and love and ooh-la-la sex scenes that kept me glued to the pages (well, my Kindle!!). If you enjoy romantic suspense with a touch of BDSM, this is the one for you. Oh, and despite being part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone - as I read it. But now that I did, I'm hooked and can't wait to read the previous works by Ms. Bell. (received copy from Edelweiss for honest review)

This was my first book by Shelly Bell and it won't be my last! I hadn't read book 1 in the Benediction Novel, so I am going to go back to that now. But on to the book at hand....

In Blue Blooded we follow Rachel and Logan. Rachel is a news reporter looking to do her next expose on a Southern Michigan BDSM club and how the lifestyle is happening around her.

At the club she follows her best friend around while waiting to speak with the owner and runs into Logan. A very attractive Dom who she has known for about a year an a half, but they have always had a bit of hatred toward each other.

One steamy moment, in a very exhibitionist way, the two come together for what will become one thrilling affair! During their time at Benediction something happens with a Mobster from the past they all thought was in prison and as witness to a crime, this sends the two on the run, seeking the truth and trying to prove their innocence. Along the way they grow closer and their time together opens her eyes more to what she is missing in her life; the act of giving up control to someone in the bedroom.

This was such a great story & I can't wait to go back & read what happens before this & what happens next!

Blue Blooded (Benediction 3) - Shelly Bell 4.5 Stars

This is one hot and action packed read and also a standalone! Rachel is a reporter desperately searching for her lucky break. Whilst she's working on a BDSM feature at Club Benediction, chasing a story lands her in so much trouble, her and Logan end up framed and on the run. Can they clear their name and do they really hate each other ?

Initially I found this book a little complicated to work out who was who, but once it all fell into place I was totally captivated and ended up reading this in one session. Whoa ! I love Rachel and Logan and their super hot steaming encounters, give me a night with Logan anytime.

I haven't read any of Shelly Bell's other books but this one is a perfect balance... scorchingly sexy, thriller and drama it's a brilliant read - I will certainly look for more from Shelly Bell now especially the next one in the series.

Wow ok I'm still reading from this book but I'll try to put my thought in order and tell you what I think.

Rachel is a reporter who wants to do a positive story on bdsm.
Logan is an attorney but is also a Dom.

Their paths have crossed many times due to their mutual friends but when they witness a murder and go off the grid together things get very interesting and really hot.

This book has bad guys that are good and good guys that are bad. Mix that with a Dom and a reporter who has control issues and you have one hell of a story that keeps you guessing and gets you hot.
