... barring some miraculous comeback by Ted Cruz, the Trump campaign will have cost the Republican Party the presidency after eight years of Obama, and perhaps the Senate and even the House - and Scalia's replacement on the Court as well. Years of effort spent attempting to dispel the accusations of inherent Republican misogyny, xenophobia, hypocrisy, ignorance and blind rage have been undone by Trump's campaign. And every Trump advocate in front of a camera had a hand in this.

We're not just gonna hug it out.

Donald Trump is unfit for the office.

He is unfit for any office, morally and intellectually.

A man who could suggest, simply because it is convenient, that his opponent’s father had something to do with the assassination of President Kennedy is unfit for any position of public responsibility.

His long litany of lies — which include fabrications about everything from his wealth to self-funding his campaign — is disqualifying.

His low character is disqualifying.

His personal history is disqualifying.

His complete, utter, total, and lifelong lack of honor is disqualifying.

The fact that he is going to have to take time out of the convention to appear in court to hear a pretty convincing fraud case against him is disqualifying.

His time on Jeffrey Epstein’s Pedophile Island, after which he boasted about sharing a taste with Epstein for women “on the younger side,” is disqualifying.

The fact that he knows less about our constitutional order than does a not-especially-bright Rappahannock River oyster is disqualifying.

There isn’t anything one can say about Mrs. Clinton, monster though she is, that changes any of that.

Donald Trump is not fit to serve as president. He is not fit to serve on the Meade County board of commissioners. He is not fit to be the mayor of Muleshoe, Texas.

If he indeed is the Republican nominee, Donald Trump almost certainly will face Hillary Rodham Clinton in the general election. That fact, sobering though it is, does not suddenly make him fit to serve as president, because — to repeat — the problem with Trump isn’t that he is less fit to serve in comparison to Mrs. Clinton, but that he is unfit to serve, period.

It is disqualifying for a modern-day presidential nominee to refuse to release tax returns to the voters, especially one who has not been subject to public scrutiny in either military or public service. Tax returns provide the public with its sole confirmation of the veracity of a candidate's representations regarding charities, priorities, wealth, tax conformance, and conflicts of interest. Further, while not a likely circumstance, the potential for hidden inappropriate associations with foreign entities, criminal organizations, or other unsavory groups is simply too great a risk to ignore for someone who is seeking to become commander-in-chief.

Mr. Trump says he is being audited. So? There is nothing that prevents releasing tax returns that are being audited. Further, he could release returns for the years immediately prior to the years under audit. There is only one logical explanation for Mr. Trump's refusal to release his returns: there is a bombshell in them. Given Mr. Trump's equanimity with other flaws in his history, we can only assume it's a bombshell of unusual size.

You listen to the politicians and it's as if they are speaking from a script titled "How Boring Can I possibly BE?" watching some of these people being interviewed is about as exciting as watching paint dry. They are so afraid of tripping on their words, terrified that they're going to say something unscripted and go off message_That's the phrase they use, "go off message"_that they are verbally paralyzed. They'll do anything they can to avoid answering a question_and the media plays the game with them.
The object of this game is to appear thoughtful while still looking like a regular guy (or gal) who would be fun to have a beer with. The pollsters tell them how to be everything to everybody without alienating anyone. These same politicians who boldly promise they are going to stand up to our enemies won't even give direct answers to reporters. I don't play that game, because I'm a very successful businessman and my mind-set is that this country needs to bring itself back from the depths of all our problems and the 19 trillion we owe.

Different people might approach complex problems like this differently. There are people who look at a problem like this and shake their heads, thinking that it can't be done. There is a name for people like that: Governor. Then there are people who talk the issue, throw around other people's money, and maybe even show you drawings. There's a name for those people too: Senator.

For years i had thought _but resisted_ running for the presidency. Friends, colleagues, and customers encouraged me to do something. I thought, "I'm not a politician, and I have a huge, successful business to run."
But then I realized I couldn't stand what I was seeing. I couldn't believe the hypocrisy and inaction of Washington "insiders" who wanted to keep the gravy train flowing in their direction, while outside the beltway, Americans were suffering and they were rightfully angry about the lack of leadership and creativity.

The first goal of the plan will be to provide tax relief. I f you are single and earning less than $25,000 or married and earning less than $50,000, you will not owe any income tax. This will immediately remove some nearly 75 million households from the income tax rolls.

Everyone has heard me talking about our immigration problem. Well, there is an important reason that people are willing to risk their lives to get into this country. In 2015, more than 4.4 million people had applied and were waiting to legally immigrate to the United States_that list even includes more than 50,000 Iranians. For people coming from some countries, the estimated waiting period is 33 years. We also have somewhere between 12 and 15 million people here legally on green cards or temporary visas. Nobody knows how many illegal immigrants are here, but the usual estimate is more than 11 million people.
For the last several years I've been watching things change. Like most of you, I don't like what has been happening. I was asked by Chuck Todd on Meet the Press when the last time was I thought America was living up to its promise. During the administration of Ronald Reagan, I said. It was a time when we felt so proud to be Americans.

America NEEDS TO START winning again.
Nobody likes a loser and nobody likes to be bullied. Yet, here we stand today, the great superpower on Earth, and everyone is eating our lunch. That's not winning.
We have a president who tries to get tough and draw a line in the sand, but when the line gets crossed, there are no repercussions.

I am sick and tired of hearing politicians who are all talk and no action. President Obama and his people are great at sending letters and press releases, but they never seem to have any consequences for foreign governments that don't listen to them.

The deal president Obama negotiated with Iran was the worst I have ever seen. we couldn't have done worse.
Iran was boxed in and the sanctions were hurting them. President Obama put his "legacy" on the line and before we walked into negotiations, the mullahs knew he had to have a deal or end up looking even more incompetent, so they fleeced him.
Disgraceful

The first thing we need to do is secure our southern border_and we need to do it now. We have to stop the flood, and the best way to do that is to build a wall. People say you can't do it_ how do you build a wall across the whole border?
Believe me, it can be done.
Nobody can build a wall like me. I will build a great wall on our southern border. It doesn't have to cover the entire border. Some areas are already secured with physical barriers. In other areas the terrain is too difficult for people to cross. It's probably about 1,000 miles we will need to secure with the new wall.
... Many people don't know that even Mexico has built its own wall on its southern border_to keep our illegal immigrants.

... Let me repeat that, one way or another: Mexico will pay for it.
How? We could increase the various border fees we charge. we could increase the fees on the temporary visas. we could even impound remittance payments derived from illegal wages. Foreign governments could tell their embassies to start helping, otherwise they risk troubled relations with America.
If necessary we could pay for the wall through a tariff or cut foreign aid to Mexico or simply make it clear to the Mexican government that it's to the benefit of their very profitable _for them_ relationship with the United states to pay for it.
But one way or another, they are going to pay for it.
I don't mind putting a big, beautiful door in the wall so people can come in and out... Legally.

It's no secret that I've had serious personal issues with the supporters of wind turbines. For several years, I battled the Scottish government over its plan to construct a really ugly wind farm consisting of eleven giant turbines right offshore of one of the most beautiful Golf resorts in the world in Aberdeen.
... There isn't sufficient wind power anyplace else?
... Fortunately, this plan was denied because of the turbines might harm the estimated 7,000freshwater pearl mussels, an endangered species on the European Union list, that were living in the Doonbeg River, and also be bad for tourism... We were saved by mussels.

But Saudi Arabia is a main target of [ wtf?! ] or in some cases the home of terrorists [ now that's right! ].
