Once again Angela Claire almost delivers an exceptionally good reading experience, to only let it down with an integral character in the story. In fact, the review I wrote for the last book in the Sleeping with the Enemy series pretty much reflects my thoughts on Tempting the New Boss. I liked it, I didn’t love it.

”Good luck with that.”

Mason Talbot, is a very different character to a lot of the normal guys you find in a Brazen romance, I loved

Camilla Anderson puts her newly acquired lawyer status to great use, when she accepts an offer to work directly for the CEO of Talbot Inc; Mason Talbot. What she underestimated was her job remit, and that the awkward, abrupt, dishevelled Mr Talbot may need a few lessons in manners, as well as having boundaries re-iterated.

Mason Talbot has led a solitary, lonely life. He trusts barely no-one, and manages his lucrative conglomerate without eye contact.

Mason isn't good in social situations. He doesn't know how to talk to people and at times, he can be quite blunt. Camilla gets a job working for Mason so she can pay off her law school student loans. On her first day, Mason is attracted to his new employee and let's her know by bluntly asking her to have sex with him. Camilla really has her work cut out for her if she's going to teach Mason social skills.

I really enjoyed this book. Mason displays a lot of the characteristics of Asperger

You know how all of us book reviewers have all said at least once that a character has totally ruined a book for them? A character in Tempting the New Boss did that for me. Not just a character – the main character. The heroine. Camilla Anderson. Sigh.

I could have dealt with the unrealistic sex scenes, the ick factor that the lack of condom between two virtual strangers gave off and I could have dealt with the insta-love. What I co

Tempting the New Boss by Angela Claire was a quirky fun and yet a sexy read!!! I enjoyed this book a quite a bit since this is not your typical book hero. Mason Talbot is a successful wealthy business CEO. Usually in most books that deals with CEO's, the hero is typically found to be dominant, total alpha male, and exudes confidence but in the case for Mason, he is none of those things. Mason is your hero who is socially awkward and has n

Tempting the New Boss is not your typical romantic story, instead it was rather awkward and an overall fun book to read. For starters the main protagonist, Camilla Anderson, has just gotten a job as a lawyer for Talbot Inc. After losing her previous job, she is more than happy to have landed such a job at a very prestigious company. But that all soon changes when she gets to meet the CEO, Mason Talbot. Now you would think that a wealthy bi

Tempting the New Boss is the third book I've read from Angela Claire and whilst I liked it, it wasn't without its flaws. Bringing us a hero who was different to many out there was a real treat to find, but the story was let down by a heroine who was difficult to warm to and frustrating. But I can't deny, they do generate some heat together.

"Biological attraction is the basis for sexual relations."

I loved Mason's honesty, bluntness and lack of filter. He was refreshing change and it made him c

This has such the workings of a great book – You have Mason Talbot- who is the quirky CEO –some might find him odd and hard to get along with but for Camilla Anderson, he is her new boss and he is someone she can find ground to bond over. And as they meet for the first time on an airplane, Camilla found herself actually liking her boss and finding him human after all. She has gone to work for him after losing her other job due to having outstanding student loan debts. They immediately connect an ...more

One of the most enjoyable books I've read this year!

From the very beginning, this book hooked me. It was so interesting and so funny! I was literally laughing out loud in my room while I read it. The funniest part was when Mason was absolutely clueless about life. Although, he certainly wasn't clueless about one thing: you'd have to read the book to find out ;)

I loved the dynamic between Camilla and Mason. Camilla was such a bright presence while Mason was a mystery. I loved that Camilla was a w

I really liked this book and the way that Angela Claire used something that we don't all like to talk about sometimes and made it feel like it was no big deal and showed us how is best to treat those that have this condition. I love that it was the Hero that had Asperger's syndrome signs because it shows that they are all not perfect and that everyone still needs to love and be loved.

Mason is a young man that has made a very good living for himself as CEO of Talbots, Inc. No one really understa

Eep! I loved this book! I read my fair share of romance novels, and while I’m all for working the usual tropes and lead character types, I’m always excited when a book comes along that subverts those types and gives me something altogether new.

In TEMPTING THE NEW BOSS, Angela Claire does just that, introducing us to quirky and- let’s just face it- socially awkward Mason. But, social misgivings aside, Mason is an amazing leading man! He doesn’t say all the right things, but when it comes to bein

Judging a Book by it's Cover:
Blue-wash filter over the couple. Seductive and sexy. Bold, bright title. Blurb is LOL funny, loved it - had to read it... I think we all love the awkward nerds, so it's fun seeing them become the hot studs by the end.
Looking Deeper:
What a fun book, it had several LOL moments for me. Mason is socially awkward, has no verbal filter, and is generally etiquette-clueless. Camilla is his new lawyer, but Mason's as

I am still processing Camilla. I am not quite sure how I feel about her. She was a walking contradiction. She reams Mason for his forthrightness and asking to sleep with her. Goes off about how it is harassment and yet when she tells him to not bring it up again she continues to bring it up. She knows he is special in his own way and yet gets angry when he is awkward around her brother and isn’t sure how to act around her family. She baffles me.

What happens when you put an adorkable billionaire and his new gorgeous lawyer on a plane, alone for 6 hours and with smoking hot chemistry and super awkward conversation? You get Angela Claire’s latest book that will have you cringing, laughing and downright hot and bothered all at the same time.

To say that Mason is a bit odd is an understatement. Think Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and you get the idea. He’s totally socially inept and when his bold question to his new counsel Camilla doesn’

This novel ... this novel ... was so much fun! It was twisty, turny, quirky and Sexy. Almost half of "Tempting the New Boss" spans one day and the STOP (hammer time - no just had to go there) BOOM - time jump. Whoa. Dude. I sound insane but I felt off kilter, in a good way, while reading this book. I laughed out loud, I was saddened, and I felt helpless at times. There were a couple of times that I did want to do a head slap or two when I felt someone should have spoken up to clarify something b ...more

I knew pretty quickly that Tempting the New Boss was going to steal my heart. Angela Claire gave us not only an amazing story, but a cast of characters were impossible not to fall in love with.

Camilla Anderson and Mason Talbot are as different as day and night. Camilla, an attorney is adept at dealing with all manner of social and business situations. Coming from a large family, she’s had to be. Mason is quite brilliant and in those same social and business situations he is so uncomfortable, tha

The time span of this book is small, as most of it revolves around a couple of days time, but it's exciting! Lots of steamy sex, and moments to pull at your heartstrings. Socially awkward as he is, I really enjoyed Mason!

Camilla Anderson has just lost her job when she hears about one opening up to be the in-house lawyer for Talbot Inc. Even though she's warned off by the previous lawyer that is quitting, she takes the position anyway because the pay will allow her to pay off her student debt qui

So this story was interesting. I liked it a lot but I was often confused about the hero. Mason is a very unlikely hero because he has such an odd personality. Camilla is starting her first day at a job she really doesn’t want so she can pay off her student loans for a career she is unsure she wants anymore. As Mason’s new lawyer, Camilla has to travel with him to Europe for business. On the way there you get an idea about Mason’s lack of people skills when his hormones kick in and he makes the a ...more

Steamy, Steamy....This storyline touched me personally because it deals with people who are different or not quite "normal" socially. Not really autistic but not fully functioning on all cylinders either. I have to say the author did a beautiful job with the subject matter on this account. Mason Talbot is a CEO and very socially inept. His administrative assistant is his lifeline and her name is Marcia. She has hired him a new lawyer named Cam

It's not everyday that you encounter a character like Mason. Mason has a head for business, a body for sin and an aloof attitude that he hides behind to conceal his insecurities. Camilla sees the man behind the genius. As she gets to know him all she wants to do is help to build his confidence. I liked Tempting the New Boss. Mason was an Alpha in training that found himself when he met Camilla. He needed her guidance to help him develop the courage to speak up and never doubt the choices he had ...more

(Author's Review) My working title for this story was Politically Incorrect because the hero Mason is clueless about filters and saying the right thing and wooing the girl. I had some fun with the awkward intersection of a tunnel-vision eccentric guy and a socially savvy twenty-first century woman who is outraged at what comes out of his mouth sometimes. But as the story evolved (plane crash, walk in the frozen wilds, hot sex in a warm cabin...you know, the usual!), it morphed into something mor ...more

I have read and enjoyed several books by Angela Claire, but this is probably my favorite. There is something about Mason that just makes you want to hug him. He's so nervous and uncomfortable around people but from the moment he really becomes aware of Camilla, it's almost like she becomes his center. Camilla knows he is different and despite the brazen things he says, she really has a soft spot for him. Their chemistr

This book had me panting at times and laughing out loud at others. Camilla hates being a lawyer but if she sticks with this new job, she'll be able to pay off her loans quickly. Her boss, Mason, has NO social skills...I mean none. It isn't till the end of the book that we get a better idea of why, although a total understanding isn't given. Camilla's first day of work is a disaster: her boss prepositions her, she has sex with him after drinking too much, and the plane crashes. This was a great r ...more

I really loved this one! I thought Mason was amazing. Not your normal alpha hero. He's a lot geeky, a complete social misfit, and he seems perfectly okay with that. Never does he try to be anything but who he is. Camilla is also great. Although shocked by some of what Mason says, well maybe everything he says, never is she demeaning or cruel. She seems to accept the way he is and goes with it. The story is very well written and completely entertaining. This is definitely one I would recommend.

Loved this story. Socially awkward hero makes for good reading. Mason is not perfect which makes this story so much fun. Not really sure what he is going to do or say next. Definitely a few laugh out loud moments and a small tear in the eye at the end. Camilla is just the right girl for him. Smart and family first is exactly what Mason realises he needs. Throw in a witty and sharp tongued assistant. A great story.

I really loved this one!

Mason was amazing is not a typical hero. He does not fit well in society, he deosn't have any filter when he talks and he seems ok with being loke this.

I also enjoyed Camilla's character. She is very shocked about Mason's behaviour but she finds him fascinating.

The book is well written and made me read it in one sitting!

As a teen, Angela Claire worked in a graveyard, mowing lawns. She thought it was the worst job she'd ever have. Unfortunately, she went on to practice law. Once free of that horror, she turned to writing. Her stories always include a sassy heroine because she doesn't know any other way to write them and a hero who's to die for. When she isn't writing, she'd rather be. She has published over 20 boo ...more
