So far it's been well received by all ages which I'm thrilled about. There's only very mild language and sexual content. Hope that helps:) Rhonda(less)

Cate has a normal life, well as normal as it can get; until one day after school something seems a miss. That is when Cate notices everyone seems to be frozen except three strangers walking towards her and her bus; soon after that day she finds out that they are Timesurfers and that she is one of them. Cate has to make a very difficult choice about who she will be

The world building, the character development, the writing, the adventure... I loved everything about this book! I am blown away by how incredible it was, it kept me guessing the whole way through and that's something I really appreciated. It's nice not knowing how the story will end half way through reading a book. A great YA novel by a talented Australian Author.

The whole concept of manipulating history had me very intrigued. Whilst it did not quite play out the way I was expecting, it was still really enjoyable. Timesurfers contained a lot more contemporary dramas/ conflicts than I was expecting.

For the first quarter of this novel, I was considerably confused. I’m not sure if I was a fan of how the concept was explained. If everything had been better explained and fleshed out early on, a lot of confusion down the track could have been avoided. HOWEVER

When I first saw that it was about Time travel I was really intrigued as it's something I have not yet read about in a book before, especially a YA book.
The plot was a bit slow for me in the beginning and I was sometimes confused, but after reading some more chapters I really got sucked in to the story! I wanted to read more and more, even though I was supposed to learn for exams. I just couldn't wait. There were some awesome moment were I was like 'wow..wait what!?' I loved the plot

I love time related storylines even if most of them end up with unexplainable logic gaps. With this being more urban fantasy than sci-fi, the author was able to create her own rules that created a unique and fun storyline! I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions kept me on my toes, especially when it came to the romance aspects. Having basically two parallel storylines that eventually converge was very well done. I was intrigued from the moment the future storyline was introduced ...more

It’s always a little bit concerning starting a book that you know deals with time travel because at a conceptual and structural level it is so easy for authors to get it wrong. The problem being that time travel at its most intrinsic, scientific foundation is extremely bloody confusing. You want to explore a concept that will mess with your mind the more you think about it? Yeah, the paradox of time travel is pretty much a

SUMMARY: An exciting new novel about the adventures of 15 year old Cate. Her seemingly normal life as a teenage girl suddenly becomes anything but normal. After seeing some strange people do some equally strange things, her life gets crazier by the minute and will probably never be normal again.
The strange people turn out to be Timesurfers, who, as we guessed, can surf through time. The Timesurfers supernatural abilities are in their blood. They must have at least one parent who is a

REVIEW: This book was so much fun to read! Before I say too much, let's dive into specifics. As always, the cons before the pros!

I knocked off a star due to how I felt the pacing of the story was. While I was constantly intrigued and was left wanting more, some parts felt a little info-dumpy and rushed. Right at the start

I recently got the chance to be a part of Rhonda Sermon's "Timesurfers Street Gang" and read this amazing book. I will admit, I didn't have very high expectations for this book because not many authors can pull off writing about time-travel (which is why I rely on Doctor Who for all of my time-traveling needs). I was m surprised to find that this amazing author found a way to describe time-travel in a magnificent way. It took me about half of a chapter to finally get into the action (luckily, th ...more

I have never been a big fan of time travel related story lines so when starting this book I wasn't entirely sure whether I would enjoy it or not. However, Rhonda's unique take on time travel kept me captivated from beginning to end. Once I started this book, I couldn't stop. The story, the characters, the writing style, everything was so well written and put together.
All the characters were extremely likeable, strong and witty. Especially Cate, some of her one liners throughout the book made me

Fantasy has never been my forte but sometimes I'd like to make a few exceptions.

Truthfully, this book itself brings up a lot of confusions to me throughout the entire book. I'd definitely recommend it, of course. But personally, this is not one of my favourites. (My opinion anyway.)

Each of the characters have their own respective role and are very fitting to the whole story. I respectively love the guys in the book. I mean, come on! You

Timesurfers is an action-packed story that will keep you at the edge of your seat the entire time you are reading. It is a brilliant mixture of time travel and magic and is unlike any other book I have read!

The book has a quick pace, which I loved because I never got bored with the story. Rhonda was able to create so many characters with different personalities, and this kept the story flowing and the relationships between characters interesting.

I especially liked the fact that while reading, I

This book was fun, enjoyable and interesting. Timesurfers was one of the books I have read about time travel. The other one was Time Riders haha. Anyways, time travelling has always intrigued me and I think that Rhonda Sermon has given me a new view of time travel. It was science fiction mixed with fantasy. At the beginning, it was confusing when they were explaining timesurfing but readers are still able to follow the story. I also like that there is war between the timesurfers. That made it mo ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Though it was confusing at times, overall the premise of Timesurfers and their abilities is ridiculously interesting and something I'm wholeheartedly into.
There were multiple twists and turns that kept you guessing, little hints here and there to get you suspicious and worried.
I found it to be a well thought out novel that I really liked and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel!

Sermon does a wonderful job of exploring the complexities of time travel and how along with some magic it can alter reality. For Cate that means waking up to find that the life she remembers never happened for anyone else.

Cate is a spunky character, and I love that she's strong enough, physically and emotionally, to take care of herself. She definitely has her weaknesses and her limitations, but she's willing to doing everything she must to take care of the ones she loves.

This book follows Cate, a normal teenager--so she thinks. Right away in the first chapter, strange events and people surround her. Before long she's on a whirlwind, trying to figure out who's real and who's surfing through time, who's on her side and who isn't. In some places, Cate isn't even sure what side she's on. Read this delightfully original debut novel that is packed full of great characters and lots of action.

My Thoughts
Timesurfers is hands down the best Indie Book I’ve ever read, it’s actually one of my favourites reads for 2015. It was such a quick read and just addictive, that you had to read the next chapter, immediately. The storyline of good verse evil sucks you in, then mysteries keep your attention and lastly, love interests have you wanting more.

The fast moving time travel novel, Timesurfers, got 4 stars from me. In the beginning there was a lot of confusion, but also throughout the whole novel. But that's okay! Time travel IS a confusing thing.

In the beginning, I was also really annoyed by the main character, Cate.
She was a cliché, annoying 15 (later 16)-year-old who was always ready to fight. In the book we see a slight character development, which was enough for me to start liking her (she DOES have a lot going on, give her some sl

I received a free copy of Timesurfers as part of Rhonda Shermon's street gang.

Overall I would give this book 3.5 stars out of 5. It wasn't a bad book but I felt like something was off right up until the last part of the book. I guess it started with the complicated beginning. You jump right into the story without any understanding about what is happening and you spend the entire story that way. Part of me believes this was on purpose, since the main character is left out of the loop throughout m

Thank you, Rhonda, for including me in your Street Gang! (I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review of the book)

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Rhonda Sermon for creating a strong AND female main character. Not only does Cate have a freaking black belt, she doesn't hesitate to punch someone if she feels it's necessary. And she isn't heartless either. Many authors confuse strength with no emotion, but Sermon does not, and I worship you for that. However I would like

I've always felt sceptical about books related to time Travelling. Now I'm in love with them! Each character is well build up and described. I love the way Rhonda balances jokes and seriousness in different atmosphere when needed. Also love how some character's resolve or stone cold demeanour slowly warms.

The whole plot is perfectly drafted out! I think that it's very intriguing, knowing that the Timeurfers in 2017 already knew what happened in 2014, their past, and still be able to change - em

Rhonda's writing skills bring everything you could hope for to the table with just the right amount of thrilling action, game changing plot twists and hilarious encounters. While this new world was a little confusing for me to take in in one book I did enjoy every minute I had my nose buried in the electronic pages.
