Amelia’s Children is Greta Cribbs’ debut novel and after reading it I am convinced, she will have a bright future! It was a fantastic paranormal mystery worth all of the five stars!
Amelia’s Children is about a 30-year-old murder where the killer was never caught. It starts with a stranger appearing in a southern small town and asking uncomfortable questions. Who is he? What is his connection to the murder? Why did he come? He is David Jenson and he has ‘dreams’ and he is taking us along on a jo ...more

Holy Moly what a book! I started it and could not put it down. This author has spun a tale here that will have you guessing on every page. This is my first book by this author but will not be my last, this story flowed perfectly, and I fell in love with the characters.
In a small town in Georgia, Amelia was murdered, the case is still unsolved 30 years later. There are rumors and speculation but no concrete answers.

Amelia's Children by Greta Cribbs is a paranormal story. I am a sucker for a good paranormal story and I found the synopsis to be very intriguing. Amelia Davis is brutally murdered and her murderer is never caught. So when a man named David shows up in town asking questions eye brows are raised. It's a 30 year old unsolved murder so I would probably be thinking what in the world myself. Sarah Hathaway has returned home after a failed Hollywood dream. She doesn't really fit in anymore and when Da

I like a good hit of paranormal romance. It injects some variety into my reading palette, and the synopsis for this book certainly piqued my interest. In some ways, however, I thought that the synopsis over-sold the book a little bit.
What I liked about the book was the pacing and the plot line. The premise of the story was a good one, and on the whole, well executed. Where I thought that it fell down a little was in the relationship between Sarah and David. I really struggled to identify quite h ...more

This is a paranormal thriller that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. This is my first story by this author and I will be going back for more. I enjoyed her writing style, her attention for details and her ability to write a thriller that just keeps you glued to your seat but yet biting your nails to waiting to see what will happen next. Amelia’s Children is a mind-blowing paranormal thriller, by Greta Cribbs. This book has so much suspense, mystery, drama and intrigue- it was gut wrenching, heart breaking, truly compelling- and gave me a severe dose of the chills. I had read the blurb and thought the story sounded quite good, but the blurb really undersold this brilliant book, it was so much better than I ever imagined… My eyes were glued to the pages, I couldn’t tear them away, and I needed to know what happened almost ...more

Amelia’s Children by Greta Cribbs is an intriguing and mystical read. I loved reading this story, it kept me guessing and also took me through so many emotions from beginning to end!! The author did an amazing job intertwining so many different characters and connecting them in a way that was easy to follow. This is a quick page turner paranormal mystery with a dash of romance. I love the prologue. I think when they're done right they can be a wonderful segue into a story but they can also cause too many questions for a reader. This one was done just right!
Sarah has moved home after a failed acting career. Not talented enough to rely on talent and not daring enough to do any romance scenes it was time to go back to Georgia. So she came home to help with the family restaurant, not exactly living the ...more

Amelia’s Children by Greta Cribbs is a five star novel. I literally could not put this book down once I started it. I walked slowly down the stairs so I wouldn't fall and wouldn't have to put the book down. I read in the bathroom. I read while cooking dinner. I read while eating dinner and when taking the dogs out. There was no stopping me from finding out what was going to happen next. Amelia was a young mother who was killed with her baby in her arms but thirty years later, her murder still ha

I have been reading an immense amount of romance lately, which is fine. I enjoy it. But I selected this book to get myself reading something different. I find its good to mix it up. Stops me from getting bored of books. I don’t watch television so I really don’t want to get bored of books. This book was a great choice! It’s a suspense/thriller/paranormal, for lack of a better explanation, with small amounts of romance thrown into the mix. The romance and paranormal through me off, because I real

Amelia’s Children by Greta Cribbs is a wonderful novel that will have you believing in something else by the time you are finished reading the novel. Greta Cribbs is a talented author for the supernatural and a mystery author as well. When you go to read a novel by her, not only do you get drawn in by the vivid visuals that she describes to you, the reader, but the characters draw you in as well. Cribbs will leave you sitting with goosebumps down your arms and the hair on the back of your neck s

Amelia’s Children by Greta Cribbs was unlike anything I’ve read in awhile! It’s my first by this author and I usually just go for straight romance so this was unique for me. I am so glad I took the chance on something new. Apparently it was her first book, too, which surprises me because it was just so good!

I went in expecting something totally different than what I got, in a very good way. I had no idea there would be any kind of paranormal element to this story but I am glad that there was. I thought this would be just about a sad, unsolved murder of a young girl that soon everyone forgot. There were so many twists in this story it was hard to put the book down at times until I had finished the scene. I believe Greta Cribbs did a great job piecing together a murder mystery without getting too cli

I went into this story blind, just off of a recommendation of a friend. I didn't realize the genre until some of the plot was revealed. I read everything so I was fine with it, just surprised. Amelia's children is fast-paced, although, I did find myself skimming past a few parts that seemed repeated. There are mystery, suspense, and paranormal aspects that blend together well! The characters were great, but the love connection kind of threw me. There was enough to make that feel tangible to me.

I am rather hesitant when it comes to reading books in the genre of paranormal fiction. I have read only a few books in this genre since the plots are sometimes rather hard to digest. However, when Greta contacted me regarding reading and reviewing her newly released Primogénito: The Fuentes Legacy I went on Goodreads to check out her page. It was through this that I came to know of her first book. The synopsis of the plot had me hooked.

I'm always hesitant when I pick up a book that falls into the paranormal genre. I am a firm believer that there can be too much paranormal content in a book, and I have a really hard time wrapping my head around some of the craziness that can be found in the majority of the books in this particular genre.....which means that I tend to avoid anything labeled as "paranormal" like the plague. On the rare occasion that I pick one up, I force myself to wait until I've reached the end to decide which
