Meet the Elementals – a magical race that inhabits our world imbodying the four elements of earth, air, fire and water. Cecy is a “Twixter,” the half-human offspring of an air elemental, who doesn’t always fit in with the rest of our world.

In addition to her magical heritage, Cecy bears another gift, one which will lead her to Brad, a scientist who is studying a very strange phenomenon – one that might signal a far deeper problem and a danger to life as we know it.

Together, they stumble upon a mystery that affects them both, and discover that playing it safe means nothing when love and desire are in the air.

I loved this book. It takes the reader into a world where magical beings known as Elementals coexist in the world alongside us. The main character is a "twixter," an offspring of an Elemental and a human. Cecy is a Wingsinger, who is charged with capturing the last breath of those returning to the earth and singing their song, their story, to the stars. Her character is engaging, as is the male lead, Brad. You fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other. There are some pretty sizzling scenes between the two of them, but nothing too graphic. There is a great supporting cast of characters in the book as well. There is plenty of suspense to keep you turning the pages and a great set-up for the stories that are coming. I'm curious enough to buy the new ones as they come out. Once again, this is a great read.

This was really intriguing. Such a magical plot and I loved the way Cecy was so up in the air (literally) and Brad was such a grounded, sexy nerd. The ending left me wanting to read the entire series NOW, and they set up the hero of book two beautifully - I can't wait to read Kai's story.

Enjoyable, steamy read and a great start to a series!
