Easily the best, most helpful book I’ve come across on prepping for life with a Rhodesian. So many of these types of book feel so breed non-specific; this author leaves no doubt that she is all about Rhodies!
I have had a Ridge back in the past' however' it has been about 5 years since I have had any dogs. I never stopped loving this breed. The time is now right for me to include another RR into my family ( the puppies are being born as I write this review). Denise's book is an easy to read very informative and well thought out journey of her experiences as a long-time breeder and lover of Ridgebacks. She presents a comprehensive overview of what it means day-to-day to own and care for a Ridgeback. I discovered new information that was interesting as well as tips and guidance that will help me to be a better steward of this wonderful breed. The pictures in the book are very helpful as a guide to identifying issues and her humor added authenticity to her narrative.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone considering owning a Ridge back regardless of your past experiences.
Although almost six years old Moses benefitted from this very readable and informative book. The author hit all the high points and others I didn’t now about.
