Workmanlike description of British police procedures, presumably out of date now, somewhat dry and Dixon of Dock Green style in the writing. This supposedly demonstrates TV and movies aren’t like reality, but what I read and watch seems not a million miles away. But, then again, I’ve never watched CSI, NCIS, or the like, which probably explains why.
