“Can she sense what she does to me?”

“The Seer’s Daughter” is a wonderful mix of suspense, paranormal and romance. A brutal murder brings together two people whose beliefs are very different.

Ethan was always the one who didn’t believe in something unless he had real facts and evidence in his hands that provide proof of it, the one who accepted only the common reality while Sage, having lived with her gifted grandmother for a long time, was the one who was able to experience and believ

What do you do if your Nan is murdered and you are torn between logic and paranormal? The handsome detective shuns any mention of dark forces, but there are so many unexplainable questions.
Athena Daniels has produced an excellent novel on paranormal romance. The Seer’s Daughter engulfs the reader in suspense throughout the whole book. At one point you think you know who is murdering these people connected to Sage, and at other times you come up with no clue.

The Seers Daughter, the first book of Athena Daniels ‘Beyond the Grave’ Series, is a chilling thriller with cleverly intertwined themes of romance and suspense.

The story is set in Cryton, a small town where a beautiful young lady, Sage Matthews, has returned to deal with her recently deceased grandmother’s shop and home, after her sudden and unforeseen death.

Sage’s instincts tell her something is off, both to do with her grandmother’s death and the strange goings on in her old home and we quickl

If you are looking for a book to give you goosebumps and keep you watching over your shoulder, then I can recommend this one! Now, to be fair, I don't read horror as my imagination is overactive and this is probably as close to it as I could get. BUT this didn't seem like horror to me, just an exceedingly well-written supernatural suspense, that gave me tingles at all the right moments.

Sage and Ethan belong together - you know this from the moment they meet. Instead of the usual miscommunication

Wow what a rush!!!

Holy wow! I don't even know where to start! This book was truly amazing. I mean it really takes you through the motions. You will feel fear squeezing your heart with a iron grip. You will feel love filling you up. You will feel so sad you will need tissues to cry in. You will feel angry at the things that happen. You will feel lust and excitement and more. Every page is just fascinating to read. I love paranormal books especially when there's romance thrown in and this is just
A fabulous first book in this new series, full of scary supernatural action, mystery and romance this was a hard book to put down. I enjoyed the way that Sage had to search within herself to find the truth of who she really was, a truth her Nan had kept from her to try to keep her safe. She had to let go of her disbelief in the supernatural and trust in order to fight the evil that was trying to break into the world. I enjoyed the relationship which built between Sage and Ethan and the fact Etha ...more

Couldn't put down! When I started reading this book I didn't know how much it would hook me! Wow. The plot is a winding, twisty, bending maze of secrets and revelations coming at you. I absolutely loved the intensity of the feelings that Sage and Ethan were having for each other. The bits of history that you get about Sage and her abilities as a child was most welcome as they added more depth to the story. I don't like cliffhangers but this one didn't upset me, it kind of eased me into wanting t ...more

The plot was dark and sinister. Evil can be so compelling and appealing to human nature, like slowing to view an accident along the highway. The action started slower, more predictably as the author acquainted us with the characters and setting. But the suspense built page by page as the unexplained kept happening.

Both the heroine and hero were painted as larger than life, the hero could easily have been in a romance saga, the same to a lesser extent the heroine. But both were pitted against evi

This was the first book that I have read by this author and it definitely will not be the last. This was a well written paranormal book filled with interesting characters, mystery, suspense, murder, and romance. Yes, it does end in a cliffhanger, but that just has me looking forward to the next book that much more. I can't wait to see what's next for Sage and Ethan. ...more

Athena Daniels has found her niche in The Seer's Daughter. The story takes place in Cryton, a small back-water Australian town with a harrowing secret. Sage has come to town from the big city to clean up her grandmother's shop, Beyond the Grave, and more importantly to find out who murdered her beloved Nan.

From the very beginning, Athena paints a vivid picture of terror and the creepy crawly, doors slam in the middle of the night, footsteps are heard when no one else is in the shop, locked doors

A RIPPING good read!

This is one of the best books I've read in quite a while. I absolutely couldn't put it down, and when I'd finished it I promptly bought the second in the series because I was dying to know what happened next.

When I looked up The Seer's Daughter on Amazon I discovered that it had been nominated for a whole bunch of awards, and I absolutely understand why. It deserves them.

Sage comes home for her grandmothers funeral. She has been experiencing so creepy and bizarre events. She pushes them off as stress due to the murder of her grandmother. Ethan, a detective is assigned the case. When he meets Sage he is attracted to her. She feels the same about him. Sage starts to feel there is a supernatural event occurring and this is not an ordinary murder. Ethan disagrees, but he is about to find out things are not as they appear to

Edge of your seat suspense
This book took me by complete surprise. I was expecting a paranormal romance with emphasis on the romance. Yes there is the romance and that is very well written. The thriller paranormal part of the story kept me on the edge of my seat and had me looking over my shoulder. Athena Daniels pulls you into the story and will raise goose bumps all along your spine. Ethan and Sage have a connection like no other and will have you falling in love with them. The Mystery surround

If I am honest, I would say that this story is at its best without the romance! There is enough good stuff in here that the relationship becomes a distraction from the real story Sage and Ethan. The tension and spooky nature is really well done, and even I got goose bumps and a creepy feeling even while reading it in the bright light of day! Lots of research is obvious. The scenes with Mark, Pia and the PRI crew are so good, so realistic, I felt like I was watching from the sidelines, complete w ...more

Quite often I ask authors to describe their novel in one word. It’s an interesting insight into how they perceive their work and what the reader can expect. So it was interesting that while I was reading The Seer’s Daughter, the one word that kept repeatedly coming to my mind was ‘wow’ and I’ll explain why…

The Seer’s Daughter is the perfect culmination of paranormal mystery with steamy and sensual romance and just enough suspense and intrigue to guarantee a chilling, goosebump-invoking, story li

I received The Seer's Daughter as an ARC (advance reader's copy) book from Reading Deals. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. I'll admit to some confusion, but only because I realized half-way through the reading, the other book I'm reading (depends which Kindle I grab) had a Title of the same name as the grandmother's store in this book. After I figured out my issue it was smoother reading (in both books). Seer's daughter was a wonderful story with ...more

A creepy spine tingling thriller that makes you question that noise you heard in the middle of the night.
I loved the mystery and how the author really creeped the reader out. I had goosebumps at a couple times reading this!
The pacing of the book was a little slow at times which caused the story to drag in places.
The characters were interesting but I was left wanting more. I didn't feel they were fully developed and couldn't quiet get into their relationship. It could just be that I didn't car

I won this book on the Giveaways and it was a nice surprise. The book defiantley is one where you keep asking "what is going on". It keeps you wanting to read more. I loved the main charaters and with this love story it wasn't a typical relationship. I loved the mystery in the book and the ending I thought was a ending that is telling the readers that there is a next book.
