I have been following this author for a while and I love everything that this author has written and when I saw this book, I just had to have it. And I was right, I absolutely loved this story. It's a phenomenal short story with a lesson that we can all learn from. I loved Mila. She's a bit naive, but a really great character to read about. I highly recommend this story to all to enjoy and learn from.

A short but good clean read starting with Mila getting a new upgrade on a chip placed on the back of her neck that will connect her to things digitally. Really liked this story from the first page! Mila deals with loneliness, a bully, and figuring out who this voice in her head is. Loved this cover and was surprised how things turned out, this ebook is free on amazon :)

I didn't think I'd like this book as much as I did! The future tech was really fun and even though it was a little predictable, It's not enough of a nuisance to drop a star for it. I'd recommend it to anybody for a quick, fun read!

3.5 stars.

Wow, this book was so much better than Fire In Frost! The cover is just as amazing as that one, too.

A short scifi that was fast paced and I enjoyed reading it. However it is somewhat predictable and the romance is a bit overdone.

Read this review and a lot others!

So I liked it. It was really obvious to me since the beginning who Parker was. Really obvious.

I do know it's a short story but it had potential for more. The author could have explained better what was like living in that age. Or (SPOILER) make the protagonist go see who exactly made the food and how it was sold like that. Was it slavery? Were some people born into having to make foo
I really liked the plot. However, I feel like the ending was a bit of a let down. It was kinda anti climatic, and I was able to predict Parker's identity from almost the very beginning. I also feel like how Ariel and Mila made up was a little anticlimactic as well. I mean, they just forgave each other? Just like that? Overall, I really liked the story, but there were a few dull points that led me to give the 3-star rating I think it deserves.

I like the overall concept, but the teenage romance is a bit overdone. Good for a quick read though.
