I think this is the first Jules Wake book I've read but it won't be the last as I loved every Christmassy feel-good minute of it. From the moment clueless and somewhat spoiled Siena was met at the airport by grumpy Jason and mistook him for a chauffeur, I loved watching the relationship between the two develop. The book had everything I enjoy in a romantic novel from lighter, funny moments, to misunderstandings, to people saving the day, to a last minute airport dash. And with a trip to Paris ne

Oh my days, put simply is that I adored this book, to the point of waking during the night and reading a few more sneaky chapters. Preconceived ideas by Jason on Siena are made and because of his past it takes time until his mind allows them to be stripped right back. Siena is one feisty lady who is determined to stand on her own two feet and leave the glitz and wealth her life and family in France expect her to take as granted. Siena is actually nobody's fool and she has hidden talents and a he

Three stars is not much, but there were some things in this book which made me downgrade the rating. I adored Siena as a character, and Jason was not bad either ;) - plus it was great to meet Lisa and Will before their Book 3 story. The plot overall was also really interesting. But. There were some really dark parts of the plot which never got a proper resolution. (view spoiler)

A feel good book full of new friendships, family, love and of course lots of Christmas cheer!
The story kicks off with main character Siena on a flight to London, from reading the blurb you already understand that this wasn't a planned vacation or visit but an escape from her fiancé.

Because of her rich French family Siena is used to living in luxury. She can buy whatever she likes, has the most beautiful designer clothes and she doesn't have to work. Unfortunately things aren't as great as they seem. Her fiance isn't a man she should want to marry and because of that she decides to run from home. Her sister Laurie owns a house in England and she promised Siena she'd always be welcome there, so that is where she'll go.

Another cracker of a book from Jules Wake. I was absorbed in this story right from the beginning, and the second my memory kicked in fully to remind me of the meeting between Laurie and Siena in From Italy with Love, it became even better. As I did remember Siena, I just couldn't fully place her at first.
Although this does feature small parts by characters featured in From Italy With Love, this is definitely a standalone book, with a whole new cast, and is set predominately in England, but ther ...more

Yes, I know it’s not Christmas but I really enjoyed this author’s first book ‘From Italy With Love’ and I do love Christmas stories, so I thought why not? I’m so glad I did. ‘From Paris With Love This Christmas’ is full of lovely characters and festive settings, with plenty of romance and fun. It features Siena, the younger sister of Laurie, the rom ...more

Another spectacular read from Jules Wake. Her characters always come alive for me, they’re always full of love, humour, wit, and goodness. There’s never any hiding with them, you know where you stand and that’s that. I love reading characters like that.
Her writing style captivated me from the first page with this book, and I reluctantly let it go at the last page. I could have read about Siena (with one n), Jason and co for a lot longer than this book. Jules Wake writes her men perfectly and Jas ...more

Jules is one of my favourite authors and I've been looking forward to reading this since I finished From Italy With Love!
And I certainly wasn't disappointed. Siena's story is a wonderful tale and she is a feisty, vulnerable, confused young woman. Appearances can be deceptive and Jason misjudged her to start with but then begins to see the grit that makes up a lot of personality.

This is my first book by Jules Wake and this will not be my last book. Loved having this book and the chance to read/review it! Our heroine is, Siena Browne-Martin who is looking to get away for a little while. This puts her on the path to meeting our hero, Jason Landon. Who is somewhat put off at first by Siena and is very hard on her. But Jason starts to see beyond his thoughts of what she is to the real person. This starts their sweet story.

I bought this book after reading Covent Garden In The Snow and I have to admit I found it rather disappointing. The characterisations in this book are very flat and nobody feels like a flesh and blood person. The majority of the tale is set in Leighton Buzzard with only a brief sojourn in Paris so I was expecting snow by the Seine and instead got snow by Watling Street.

This was my first book by Jules Wake, however, I did not realize this was a part of the series. therefore this is second out of three books. And after reading this great novel, I added the other two to my TBR list and will read those very soon.

Siena is determined to break the pattern of her life as a rich socialite in Paris and in her opulent family home. There must be more to life than shopping, jet-setting and obeying her mother and marrying a rich and suitable fiancé that she doesn’t love or who doesn’t love her simply out of duty. She needs time to think, so she secretly plans to visit her sister Laurie who lives in London. It’ll give her time to think – just a small breather so that she can make plans for her future; a future tha

I'm a massive fan of Jules Wake and I've been reading as many of her books as I can get my hands on. I ended up reading this out of order in the series but that didn't affect my enjoyment of the novel.
Siena and Jason snap decisions about each other based on their first impressions and I really liked the way the reader was almost encouraged to make the same snap decisions with the information provided in the early scenes. A brilliant sequel
Loved the book and just didn't want to put it down. When I first met Sienna she came across as a spoilt rich brat but as you went deeper you got to know her she was so misunderstood. Love the detail of the Chateaux so much you could imagine it. As for the clothes, bags and shoes , a life you can only dream of! Yet again all the expensive cars from the previous book set in Italy with Laurie and Cam so you found out what happened to them. A world and lifestyle to imagine. Can't w ...more

After waiting for two years to read this, I have to say, I am terribly disappointed. Predictable, cliché chick lit. Was almost a DNF. Don’t be fooled by the title. They spent less than 5 minutes in Paris. I am a sucker for romance and Paris but this was anything but! Wish I could get my money and time back!!!

Awesome romantic Christmas story
Perfect romantic Christmas Story. It was a great riches to rags story of the unraveling of a person's life to realize what really matters. It was definitely a fairytale set in London and Paris that was perfect for is hopelessly romantic girl. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a fast reading heartwarming story of a Christmas Romance . ...more

Loved this book
Love the characters. It's hard to imagine what it must be like to go from riches to being virtually penniless, yet having the gumption to go out and do something about it. I enjoyed Siena's (that's Siena with one n) wit and humor and her ways of overcoming challenges. Her relationship with Jason really shines. Great book. ...more

“She loved the build-up, but somehow every year when Christmas finally arrived, the sparkle had burnt itself out. The actual holiday itself never seemed that enjoyable.”

“Far below, the bends in the river Thames were outlined by the lights of the city, shimmering and winking through the thinning clouds like elusive diamonds. Siena’s fingers clutched the armrest as the knots in her stomach tightened.”
