Blindsided

Paige
He’s everything I’ve never wanted—an egotistical womanizing MMA fighter. Yes, he’s easy on the eyes with a body to die for, blue eyes to fall into, and a smile that will make your heart skip beats. His smell is intoxicating, and he’s fun to be around, but I’m not interested in being another notch in his bed post. I can’t lie and say I haven’t thought about what it would be like, I have. Unfortunately, I know a woman like me can’t make a man like him settle down.

Levi
Look at me, I’m everything she wants—a sexy MMA fighter who no one can resist. What? I can’t help they all want me. I know she fantasizes about my naked body on top of hers, who doesn’t? But she has a telltale sign—her glassy green eyes, her crimson red cheeks, and the sweat that glistens her face—she wants me. I’ve never had to chase, you know, put in effort to get the girl in bed, but she is sending me on the longest treasure hunt I’ve ever experienced. Not even my smile can make her panties drop. But somehow, somewhere in the mix of chasing her, I’ve developed feelings. This cannot be happening.

Omg! This was the most depressing thing I have read this month. (And not in a good way)
I'm sorry but it wasn't just depressing it was sad.. again not in a good sad cry my eyes out way!

Paige is this waitress/bartender who lives with a guy that is one of the biggest players..
One day she is waiting table and in walks Levi, who is this disgusting, arrogant, jerk and asshole and she lets him know she is not interested.. She is a relationship type of girl and he likes "strange" he has all these women in all cities and states; never had a relationship, and doesn't like the answer no.

So I was cheering on for Paige until her dumb ass starting catching feelings for him.. She still doesn't give in, however goes home and cries, while he is sexing anything and everything.. and then she gives in.. So the little fkk I thought I gave about her disappeared!

She wasn't just a doormat, she was dumb as a rock, insecure, childish and again just plain stupid..

It was like watching Tom and Jerry, and unfortunately even the cat and mouse had more personality than these two! Simply pathetic!

Her dad is supposed to be her big supporter but pushes her to talk with the ex that broke her heart? Her best friend, roomate, aka brother is supposed to have her back but hangs out with Levi and other bitches? Like what the fucks wrong with this whole story? Everything!

description

The second book debut by author TC Matson, Blindsided tells the story of Levi and Page.

Levi is a rising MMA Star Fighter and ultimate ladies man and Paige is a hardworking waitress by day and bartender by night.

Both with qualms about getting into serious relationships period, what will become of the man who’s never had to work for any female in his life and the girl who’s known nothing but womanizing, cheating men all around her?

For hotshot Levi “The Leveler” Stiles, the word, “no” is not something he’s ever been accustomed to. Especially, when it comes to the other sex. Now with the brunette beauty, with the piercing green eyes and sassy attitude dodging his advances at every turn, and spiking Levi’s increased interest in her even more, could she be his biggest game changer yet? Or his greatest downfall?

As for Paige, they say “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Could giving into Levi be her biggest tryst into heartbreak and temptation? After all, recovering from an unfaithful ex and rooming with a playboy bestie, have given her clear warning of all that she should steer clear from? Can Levi be her knight in shining armor admist all of her uncertainties?

And with pangs of both Paige and Levi’s pasts looking to tear them apart, will they be able to forge a future when they can barely succumb to a start?

“Paige, I’m not your past. I’m trying to make you my future.”

Be ready ladies, part one of The Fighting Series is coming your way, this November 9th!!

It has everything from sexual steam, pent up tensions, a charming, dirty mouthed alpha male, and a fiery female looking to pave her own path while breaking out of the downward spiral she’s found herself in.

The one thing I will admit that I found myself on the hinges about was Paige. While I did like her humor and cleverness, sometimes, her constant fears about taking a chance on Levi kind of hindered her character for me at times to connect with. Don’t get me wrong, I understood her reluctance and all, but sometimes it was a bit much. Especially after the fact when her and Levi got together. Her doubts, her running away, and outbursts were a tad grating on the nerves at times.

Otherwise, everything else from the plot, story line, and Levi was all good and flowed fluidly well for the most part.

I’m hoping though that Blain will get his own story within the series!!

I really loved this book and Paige's sassiness was an added plus!! My only disappointment was the finding out in the end that this book was not over and would continue as I thought I was reading a standalone. I'm needing the next book NOW!!!!!!

Swearing will be involved with this review. Not entirely sure what I just read, but let me put this out there for the SAFETY gang. This isn't for you. Look away. Now this story was full of assholes, douchebags, bitches, and manwhores. The H wants the h, but he's f****** other women until 50%. He does not care because he does not want blue balls. I had to check twice to see if this book was written by a woman. Anyways, once they finally get together thing's happen of course. Both kiss their ex's on "accident." Both are immature AF. And can I just say something? It's obvious this author doesn't have a clue about MMA fighters. I was brought up around the sport and married a fighter. You DO NOT, for what ever purpose talk to the opponent your man is about to go against. You do not flirt, chat, shoot the shit, nothing. When the H got pissed at the h when she did it was evident she is attention whore when it comes to the opposite sex. She's grown up with shit men. Hasn't got a clue what a relationship should look like. She's all but panting throughout. I won't let off the H either. He's obviously addicted to sex, and looks at women as just a means to an end. Both are constantly commenting how hot everyone around them is. Whoever they see. I HATE when authors do this. What exactly is sexy about that? Once MMCs are together I want them panting after each other and that's it. If you're still reminiscing about getting your dick wet you're not ready for a relationship. And the h Paige just needs therapy for her self esteem issues. You can't even call her a doormat. She obviously has something wrong inside. I'm probably looking at this story too deeply, but the author did a piss poor job trying to convince me these two should be together. And I just saw there's another book for this couple. Let me guess? He steps out on her? I would not be surprised. Look MMA fighters are notorious for training hard and playing hard. Conor McGregor is a great example and has cheated on his wife dozens of times. An Irish friend of mine witnessed it with his own eyes, but there are also good ones who just love the sport. So many let it go to their head. Overall this story was ok. It did have my attention because you honestly didn't know what else this author was going to pull for shock value. The dialogue of having the H talk to the reader's about his douchebag ways, and saying we ladies would be doing the same thing had me thinking the author must have been high. 😂 I'll probably end up finishing the series to see if every fighter is as bad as Levi. Who knows? 🤷

Want to mention. I do seek out these kinds of stories, but I have to have some redemption along with my angst. All these characters bugged me equally. So there is that 🥴. I also want to mention I went into this completely blind. It was recommended to me to check out because of the MMA aspect. As of finishing this I have looked for spoilers for the next book, and oh boy. We're about to have a trainwreck, soap opera worthy story I can see.

There are so many things wrong with this book. I'm not even sure where to begin, but I'll give it a try.

Poor character development. The hero, Levi is supposed to be an arrogant charmer? That is what I believe the author was going for, however he came off as a total douche with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Our heroine, Paige, was not a sassy southern gal, she was a trite bitch.

Sub-par plot, and sophomoric writing.
There was too much back and forth. I am all for angst, but this was over the top drama. The writing, from the dialogue to sentence construction, it was all very poor.

Well, that was truly painful. This one took me forever to read.

It lacked any kind of depth. Everything was underwhelming. The writing was dull and sterile. The story was boring and predictable. ZERO chemistry between the characters.

Paige was unlikable, she was a just awful. Levi was another typical "alpha male" asshole- Spoiler Alert - you have read him 100 times before. There are way better MMA/Romance books out there with better plots, clever dialogue and unique characters.

Lemme start with this. Narcissists aren't sexy. Nope. Confidence is hot as hell, but the moment it steps into arrogance, i start to lose interest. Step into narcissism and I'm running like hell for the hills. Wish the heroine in this story had managed to do the same.

Paige is the heroine of our story and she starts out with backbone and intelligence. Levi, the MMA fighter and manwhore extraordinaire (and narcissist) spots her, decides he wants her and uses his smarm to try and chat her into his bed. And Paige's backbone protects her even though she's fighting her attraction to him. She's clear from teh beginning that she doesn't want to be his fling and that she wants a relationship. Unfortunately, Paige's lustful urges keep pulling her back to him and it's disappointing when she actually gives in. Because he is definitely not worth her sacrifice - especially since she gave in before getting things on her terms. It isn't until after that he decides he wants her more than once.

Paige has a problem with the men around her not liking the word NO. You've got Levi who ACTUALLY monologues how when he hears the word "no" he wants to go all wolverine on everything because he wants what he wants when he wants it...and he wants it his way. Then he breaks the fourth wall and tells the reader not to judge, but it's a little late because in my mind he's just a big man baby now. Mature adults can deal with the word "no." Levi doesn't listen when Paige says no she doesn't want to date him, no she doesn't want to go see him backstage, no, no, no. He ignores it because he wants what he wants. And what does he think he's going to get even if he does get her into bed? A woman with regrets and a whole lot of hurt but that's fine with Levi because at least he finally laid the challenging one. Paige is also dealing with Wesley, a cheating ex who has decided he wants her back and stalks her all over the place no matter how many times she tells him no. Unfortunately, the author did a pretty poor job of contrasting these two men. To my mind, the hero and the villain are in the same league because neither of them respect Paige enough to listen to what she wants. So no, I don't understand what the heroine sees in Levi.

I also don't believe that Levi has it in him to be faithful to Paige in the long run (and the behavior of the men in this story in general just sickened me overall). All the while Levi is trying to coax Paige into his bed, he's having sex with any woman who puts herself on offer. The entire first half of the book, he's carrying on with these one-night stands because Paige doesn't want him and she's not worth a case of blue balls. If she's not worth more than 8 days of celibacy (his longest in the book) then you don't deserve her. He rants about how women need to act like they deserve respect (i.e. not be sluts) if they're going to get respect from him and he can't understand why Paige isn't ready to just jump in the sack with him. Even worse, all Paige's friends are urging her to hook up with Levi and even her best guy friend is hanging out with Levi, watching him pursue her while he fucks other women and keeps urging Paige to give in to him. What kinds of friends are these?!?! These are shallow ass friends who want to know somebody who hooked up with somebody famous.

The only reason this book even gets 2 stars is because Paige put up one hell of a fight for the first half of the book. Woman had backbone and refused to give in...until she did and lost all my respect. To her credit she also fought a bit after he kissed his toxic OW on screen, but she didn't make him suffer enough for that.

Paige is the main female character in this story and Levi is the male.

Levi - He is probably a bit of a big head, he is a Fighter and a very well known one and to top that he is a love them and leave them kinda guy. That is easy for him because the women fall all over him, but he never gives them another thought once he has had his wicked way with them. He never has a long term relationship and has never wanted one, he is never without someone to sleep with and this way he has no emotional ties to any of the women. However when he sees Paige, she catches his eye, and he makes no secret about the fact he wants her in his bed.

Paige - Her best friend is Blain, he is another male slag, Paige shares a flat with him and has seen on countless occasions how he treats women, how he lies to them, how he comes up with excuses, and her best friend has learned her a lot although he does no realise that is from her watching his behaviour to the ladies. Oh, don't get me wrong he is charming like Levi, good looking like Levi, but a womaniser like Levi too.

Paige is definitely attracted to Levi, she is extremely aroused by him, his body is to die for and his eyes just seem to pull her into their deepest parts, she can barely keep her sanity around him, and he, of course, is not making things easy for her because of his persistence in chasing after her. It takes all her strength to keep him at arms length, and she fears she may be fighting a losing battle.

Blain warns her at first to keep away from Levi, then he is happy for her to take up with Levi when he realises who he is and a few free tickets to the fights won't go amiss either. Many might think Paige is a stuck up bitch or a bit of a prick tease, but if you actually read the story and concentrate on it, you will actually realise why she is not about to be another notch on Levi's bedpost. Paige has been through a lot and the last thing she wants is to get hurt, she wants more than a one-night stand or a quick fling, and she knows Levi is a man whore, so the chances of anything coming out of her being with him are non-existent, this is her theory. However, Levi has a different view of things. He sets out to prove her wrong, but come on, how many times have we seen a leopard change its spots? 0?

I love all the characters in this story, each one has a large part to play in making this story awesome. I loved the barman Mason, he made me chuckle a lot.

Ok so we see where the story is going, but let me explain something, this is a fun story, it's hilarious in parts, heartbreaking in others, and the sexual content is sizzling hot, so hot it burns. This is panty soaking hot stuff.

This is he first time I have read any of he Author's work, but it will definitely not be the last. Her ability to have me smile, giggle, gasp, and have so many emotions running through my head in one story, means I am now a fan with a great big smile on my face knowing I will love all of her books if this is a taste of things to come.

I had the pleasure of beta reading this book, and it was a first-time contact between me and TC, I can truly say that this Author is a keeper, her great sense of humour is carried over onto her work.

Blindsided is the first book in the Fighter series by TC Matson, as well as my first book by Matson.

I was an emotional roller coaster for the first half of the book. Parts of me hated Levi's continued lifestyle but part of me also understood it as a result of Paige's actions. She was whiny and unreasonable; yet I also couldn't blame Paige for standing her ground because Levi never promised anything except a physical relationship without any exclusivity. So ultimately there were parts I loved about their developing relationship/friendship and then parts that made me nauseous and want to run. Be that as it may, I couldn't put it down.

Levi was a character I bought into. He was alpha sexy - characteristics that I love in my hero. His manwhore ways after they met....not so much. Paige's character had a similar reaction for me - gorgeous and sassy, what's not to like? Yet weak and whiny.....too flaky for me. Ultimately, once they got together, I liked them together and have hopes for a stronger bond reflected in the future.

Matson introduced some supporting characters that would be a joy to read in future stories. Blain, Adam and Holly are obvious examples. Ryker might also be a good contribution to the series. Matson left it open for multiple possibilities.

There were a few editing errors, but they weren't numerous nor too distracting. They primarily consisted of incorrect tense or words, such as you versus your.

Blindsided is the first of two books about Levi and Paige. As a result, the ending was not exactly as I would have preferred. They are together but far from visualizing the HEA at the end of the tunnel. I hope to see further character and plot development.

Unexpected is up next and should take us through Levi's continued pursuit of the MMA championship alongside the challenges and joys of their newly developed relationship.

This is a good read with a book 2 coming our way. I hope that we get to see more of Blaine. You will find out who he is soon enough when you click this one up!

Paige is a hard working woman holding down two jobs --- waitress by day and bar tending by night she cant take being a notch in someone’s belt. That is exactly what she would be in Levi’s. Paige has been fooled before by the “bad boy” and she will not go down that horrific road again. Paige was somewhat a character that I liked but wanted to punch in the face at times and yell get up on that girl what is wrong with you? Does that make sense? Once you read the book and come in contact with Levi .. you will get it. LOL!

Levi is an MMA Alpha male bad boy with all that zing in the swing. Yup .. this man lacks nothing. He owns his arrogance ten fold. Levi doesn’t want a relationship but he wants Paige … as he stalks his prey .. things change. Maybe he doesn’t want to give Paige up … that is if he can ever convince her to give him a shot.

TC is a new author for me thanks to the ARC and I was not disappointed. I hope we get a book centered around Blaine. LOVE HIM! --- Thank you TC for the gift of reading a great story. Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

A sassy yet slightly broken heroine and a sexy as hell MMA fighter with a different woman every night.
When they meet sparks fly but Paige has no interest in a fling no matter how many of her buttons he pushes.
Levi doesn't chase women, women chase him so why is he chasing after the one woman who refuses him?
Two people from opposite worlds, each with their own fears build a friendship but smack in the middle of it is an undeniable attraction.
He's a man whore an she's a relationship kind of girl, they couldn't possibly have anything together. Or could they?

Loved Paige, she's a strong, smart mouthed, gun toting gal who can take care of herself. She's got an amazing best friend and roommate who's always got her back. An Levi has a bit of something for everyone, the tats, the job, the smile, it all works an makes a pretty irresistible package. One of my favorite things about this book are the parts where he tells it like it is, how men think an how women confuse them. He's funny and real, honest and determined.
Blaine and Adam are great secondary characters as well, hopefully they will get their own story.

This was my first book by the author and I was impressed. I look forward to the rest of this series as well as grabbing her back list.

This author has blown me away…once again.

Blindsided is a story of hurt and pain. But it is also a story of taking chances and not giving up. It shows that everyone deserves a chance.

Paige has been hurt in the past…and the last thing she wants is to be hurt again. But when Levi…a known player…enters her life, can she finally open up and allow him in?

Levi is arrogant, cocky, infuriatingly dense sometimes but there is a side of him that nobody sees…until he meets Paige. She makes him want to be a better man.

I absolutely loved these two characters. Both of them have issues but together, they show that it only takes one person to change you…one person to make you a better person.

I cannot recommend this book enough!!!

Blindsided is the first book in the Fighter series of MMA men and the women they fall hard for. This is a new to me author and I had to check 2 times that this wasn't a male author because of the MMC point of view dialogue. There is a cliffhanger, which I did not know, Hero cheats, both MCs are not very likeable but I was team Ryker all the way, I despised the sex addicted hero who thought he was Gods gift to women and they should all fall at his feet. He didn't like the word NO and was a control freak. The FMC had backbone and respected herself but constantly ran from problems and had understandable trust issues. Editing needed some help but nothing major but in order for me to continue this series I hope the characters aren't this bad. I literally snarled and shook my head the whole time. Read at your own risk is my recommendation.

Paige is a waitress by day and a bartender by night. She works non stop for her dreams of traveling one day. She is surrounded by playboys and doesn't want one for herself, she's been with a bad boy and got burnt bad! A customer comes in and she recognizes his type immediately but she turns down his offer of getting together but he won't take NO for an answer and shows up everywhere she's at.

Levi Stiles is known as the MMA Leveler. He goes from one woman to the next and isn't interested in a relationship. Levi is attracted to Paige and has to work really hard to get her to agree to go out with him. Then proceeds to think she is his possession.

Their relationship is rocky and he eventually can't handle the long distance with no sex and crosses the line with a woman fighter. He makes the call to end their topsy turvy relationship.

You know a book is bad when a measly 200+ page book takes you 3 days to read because you have to stop every chapter for meditation to rid yourself of thoughts drenched in excessive anger and annoyance. I should have opted for medication over meditation because this book was painful; although I'm sure I'd just end up becoming an addict needing AA meetings because a butter knife to my wrist would have been less painful than this read and I'd be popping those pills like TicTacs.

These characters were so unlikable that I found that I not only couldn't root for them, but actually rooted for their misery. There wasn't even a good secondary character. NOT A ONE. Even Paige's father was unlikable. Can you believe that? The only one with a smidgen of potential was Mason, and we hardly saw him so he didn't get enough page time for real development. Ugh...I'm sure I'd even hate an animal if it were written into this book...P.A.I.N.F.U.L.

I spent more time using my psychology degree diagnosing Paige than I did anything else, as she is the epitome of why men think women are completely unstable and certifiable. NOTHING about her is likable. NOT ONE THING. And the fact that she was so vile just made Levi unlikable most of the time because he fed off of her moronic, pathetic, hypocritical, selfish, loathsome behavior.

Did I mention I hated her? Well, it bears repeating.

I am not sure whose doorstep the blame should be placed. Should it be the fault of the author for writing a story that is nothing more than a decoupage of other characters and books we've previously read all sewn poorly together and marketed as something new when it's really redundant and recycled? Or should it be the fault of the beta readers for not having enough guts to point it out? Or have people just become so desensitized that they just expect books to be the same story told over and over again?

I'd truly like to think that there was at least one rogue beta reader who tried to do the job right and point out the problems with these horrendous one-dimensional characters. If there was, I'd recommend the author grab those notes, revisit, review and revise this book, since the only person getting "BLINDSIDED" is the reader, and not in a good way.

I'd give it zero stars, but it's not a ratings option.

When you take a breath and take a chance…

From the start I knew this was going to be an ‘uphill battle’ romance. Not the story itself – the story was funny and sexy with engaging characters – but the actual romance itself. Paige had been hurt before and wasn’t interested in being lied to again. She was beautiful so was used to being hit at the restaurant or when she was bartending. That didn’t mean she fell for every (or any) line that she was fed. Levi was gorgeous but he also seemed to be another player with his practiced patter. She’d heard it all before….

What was unusual though was Levi’s persistence and Paige’s lowered resistance to him. Paige was honest with herself and him – she wasn’t looking for a one-night stand and temporary fling. Levi was honest about his past and his intent to remain unattached. Easy, right? They each go their separate ways, no harm done. Oh, but that would make for a boring plotline, wouldn’t it? And this was definitely not boring.

Levi kept coming back for more even when he was shot down. Repeatedly.

“When I think of Paige, the man stands up and since we text almost every day, I’m a walking woody.”

I admit to smiling more than once over their text messages. Ahh, modern courtship – so sweet!

“He feels good beside me. I feel safe, completed and oddly… cherished.”

While Paige’s preoccupation with the past did seem a bit overdone, the progression of their relationship was spiced up with past lovers and their own insecurities providing twists and conflict that moved the story quickly along. A bit of an abrupt ending – I didn’t realize this was the first in a continuing story – has me eager to find out where these two are headed.

Paige had suffered her share of heartbreak, so when the MMA's fighter, Levi Stiles, appeared at the restaurant where she worked, showing up all interested in her, she wasn't interested. But Levi, tall, beautiful, strong and full of tattoos, was not used to take no as answer, and he keeps insisting inviting Paige to hang out.
The insistence end up giving what he wanted, but she always makes it clear that she was a woman to have a relationship. Levi could not be more different; getting little time in each city because of fighting in the cage and with so many women around him, he really wanted everything but a serious relationship.

But they begin a friendship, with Paige's best friend and roommate help, Blain.
Her ex-boyfriend, Wesley, who had broken her heart, was back and wanted another chance.
Among trying to get rid of Wesley, work hard and her friendship with Levi, the heart spoke louder and Paige couldn't resist anymore.

The only problem was her insecurity and her habit of running away at the slightest sign of danger - and this sometimes made me feel pissed off.

Levi had done all movements to show to Paige that he was interested, but she never let her guard down. Until a fight in Dallas he is surprised by her arrival and from there the cards were on the table. Could Paige overcome her past trauma and begin to trust Levi, despite many offers he receives from other women?

Good pace.
Complex characters.
Interesting plot.

I really hope that Paige can overcome her trauma and fight for her love - especially now, after that book ending.

5 Sassy Girl Meets Sexy Fighter Stars

Sassy Paige is an independent woman who works two jobs to keep herself busy and to stay away from troubled bad boys. Paige has been burned it in the past by said bad boys and she does not have any plans on every letting herself getting hurt by any again.

Levi is Trouble with a capital T. He is an arrogant, conceited, sexy as hell, MMA fighter. He never has a problem getting women, in fact they throw themselves at him. Heaven for bid he not take them up on whatever it is they are offering.

When Levi meets Paige he is intrigued, by the beautiful sassy blonde waitress that calls him out on all his BS. And of course he decides to throw every line in the book to try to get her attention. Too bad Paige is not falling for his crap. But damn she does find Levi to be the sexiest man she has ever laid her eyes on.

Every chance Levi tries to swoon her, Paige laughs and calls him out. Of course you can not tell a man no especially when no one every has said no to Levi. This makes an interesting game.

But who will win? Who will give in? Who gets Blindsided? Will Levi finally work his charm? Will Paige finally decide to let Levi have a chance? And how will Levi's playboy past affect his possible future with Paige?

This a wonderful story full of sexual tension and laugh out aloud moments. TC has hit a homerun with this book.

This is a book that I honestly liked right up until the end, then I was a little frustrated by it.
We meet Paige and Levi the day that they first meet each other. She is a hard working waitress/bartender who catches his attention and holds it when she doesn't fall for his advances right away. He is an up and coming fighter who is used to getting what he wants.
I enjoyed Paige's sense of self worth and her feisty attitude. Levi's arrogance and determination were entertains and some of his first person dialogue was hilarious.
These two spent a lot - almost too much- of time dancing back and forth as "friends" before Paige decided to go for it with Levi. Once they were together, the chasing on again/off again continued and sometimes felt repetitive.
I have the sense that the ending was meant to intrigue us for the next installment. It did that, but it also left me with a sense of the book being unfinished.
This is a debut work and shows a lot of promise by the author. I definitely want to see what happens to Paige and Levi next, but i do feel like more of their story could have been told here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
There were a few things that I wasn't very fond of:

1. Paige always running. I love her character because she isn't like most female characters in mma books. She's smart,and hardworking. And she's no damsel in distress. But she's also naive, and she jumps to the defense way too much. I really wish someone would have sat Paige down and had a "Come-to-Jesus meeting" with her. I wanted to slap that girl a few times.

2. Levi, at the beginning was a little too arrogant for me. As some MMA fighters are. But he was overly obnoxious, and at times, overly possessive. But as I kept reading I started to gradually love his character. He's tough, and protective. But also sweet, and gentle.

3. I really hope there is a continuation of Paige and Levi's story because it felt like it ended way to quickly.

All in all, I really freaking loved this book. It's different than most mma books, and I like that about it. I really hope Adam, and Blain get there own stories too.

I would totally recommend this book!!

Fighter romance is one of those things that is always a weak spot. Always. I hate admitting how much I love fighter romance, it is like hey "I love reading about arrogant alpha males" shhhh don't tell anyone.

This was actually a very good fighter romance, we were told the story from both Paige and Levi's point of view.

Although it was interesting because Levi's POV was more like he knew he was telling us a story vs Paige who was telling the story through her eyes. IT was a different perspective but it really worked.

Plus Levi really was one arrogant asshole. Sadly, I loved it. Even though I often say that makes me sick. What can I say, I am a contradiction.

The story flowed really well and it didn't feel too forced. It was pretty steamy, but I do need to know, why do famous MMA fighters always seem to go for bartenders in these stories??

Hmm, I guess that is a question for another day. Overall this is a very easy read and one that was very enjoyable, there are more books in the series and I will certainly read them.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Paige has been hurt badly before and promised herself not to trust again. In walks Levi; an egotistical man-whore who gets everything he wants and he has set his sights on her. Levi fights in the MMA Fighter ring but he fights even harder when Paige says no to him. Will Paige give in or will Levi give up and walk away?
This book was A-MAZING. I loved it and I haven't loved a fighter book as much since I read Real by Katy Evans. I fell in love with Levi and the way he tried to convince Paige to give him a shot. The conflicts and struggle that not only Paige faced but Levi too, were just part of the story. I know there is more to come in this series and I personally cannot wait. I would recommend to book to everyone who loves a good story. It is more than a romance, this book is about a struggle. Once you are hurt in your life do you open the door to anyone again?
This is the story of Paige and Levi.
Both characters are coming from different world. Paige likes her life as it is now. Simple without any problems. She has her jobs, her place to stay and her friends, what else can she ask for?
Levi is different. Everybody knows him but the girls remember him and want some more. He is a fighter, he gets what he wants and doesn't take no for an answer.
Their paths cross and Paige does everything in her power to push him away. Does it work? Meh, not really. While he continues living the good life, she is starting to see him for who he is. Maybe he isn't that bad of a person but he comes with a package and it's enough to scare her away.
Will she let him take control of her heart or will she be stronger than the fighter?
I loved this book. It took me a single day to read it. Only because I couldn't stop. The writing is good, the characters are strong and stand out. I hope there is a sequel :)
2 thumbs up
Levi is a pro fighter he has no room in his life for a girlfriend. He's on his way to getting a contract and being the Champ. Paige works two jobs. She lives with her long time best friend who is like a brother to her. Paige has had her heart broken before, and she's in no hurry to do that again, but there is something about Levi she can't resist. Levi has no clue what Paige has done to him, but he's holding nothing back to get her. Will Levi finally fall in love? Will Paige let down her walls and let Levi in? Will these two find out there is more to there connection then a hot time?
I loved this book. The writer makes you feel like Levi is talking to you. I loved that. I felt like I was right there with them as a friend. I've never felt so involved in a book before. The characters connection was unbelievable. There is nothing I didn't like about this book. It was amazing. I can't say it enough. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
ARC for an honest review!
This book broke me and built me up, all in two hours. I can't begin to explain how much I loved this story. I loved the cocky attitude Levi has, I also love that Paige didn't give in as easily. I know there were issues to deal with and everything was perfectly clear in the book. But one thing bothered me and that was the running. The author knows what I'm talking about. I don't know if I would do the same. Probably, but seeing it written down like that...It just seemed like a coward thing to do. Protect yourself at the exspense of someone else. But I love the continuing fight to be together, the love he has for her. He's waiting for her, he's fighting for her and he's simply loving her. I can't complain for reading this book. So, even though this book gutted me in moments, I loved every minute of it. Good job!
TC Matson I have to say that you have done it again!!
Once I started I couldn’t put it down. The characters of Paige and Levi just grabbed my attention so much, the chemistry between them, the way they danced around each and the banter that went on between them had me laughing out loud and oh let’s not forget about the sexual tension between the two of them, all of that made this book very very interesting reading. This story has all the bells and whistles when it comes to a hot romance, Sexy Man, Beautiful Woman, Happiness, Sadness and don't forget about the Steamy Sex. I can honestly say that I was Blindsided by this book !!!
I can hardly wait to read more from this awesome author TC Matson and to find out what happens to Paige and Levi.
This is a definite must read and is worthy of 5 stars and more !!!!!
