Nope.

If you're the type of reader who likes their historical fiction steeped in self-importance, drained of all possible vigor, & squashed under the weight of block infodump'ing slogs, thus ensuring all possible plot points are held at a safe distance without fear of catching that dread disease known as "emotional involvement"...

Great news! Chicago Girls was published in the mid-1980s & awaits fresh discovery!

...But if you're someone who actually likes to enjoy the books they read, feel free to skip this piece of dead-tree Ambien.

I read this book for a class in college. Ehhh it was okay I was hoping for more Chicago and less character background.
