People tell Olivia her online beau may actually be helping her fading marriage. The saleswoman she met at an adult toy party claims satisfaction is about the heat, not the source. Olivia’s therapist suggests her romantic fantasies could stoke the embers of her twenty-plus year relationship. Even Olivia’s lust interest, Jake, says, “I tell myself I’m good for you.”

Jacy Sutton pulls off a difficult feat with Available to Chat: writing a book that is both a light, breezy bit of escapist fun and a sensitive, realistic portrait of all too many modern marriages. While I enjoyed the light "beach reading" aspects of the book, I found that I could relate to it on a deeper level. Some of the things Sutton describes in the dynamic between Olivia and Mike cut almost too close to the bone, reminding me of some of the painful aspects of my own marriage.

The sex scenes

Olivia is trying everything, and still can't make her husband get it, so when a man she met once long ago shows an interest online, Olivia can't resist. She finds herself delving deeper and deeper into her online fantasy while trying to hold onto the life she's built, until one day it all comes to a head.

Though she's "doing wrong," I found myself relating to Olivia quite a bit, and wanting to bonk her clueless husband over the head! Both these characters are very well crafted, as are all of the

Available to Chat, is a treat for anyone who enjoys a well-written story with some sexy scenes. Olivia is a charming protagonist, a woman, a mom, a wife and a professional that finds herself navigating a new unexpected role.

Jacy Sutton does a great job making the reader feel involved with Olivia’s life right from the beginning. You can’t help but feel invested in her “situation” right up till the end. The characters are well developed and easy to like. I found myself not wanting to like one or

Available to Chat handles a difficult subject in a surprisingly light and refreshing way. Olivia is feeling dissatisfied in her marriage to Mike. He is inattentive, the sex has become boring and commonplace and as her son prepares to head off to college, she is left wondering if this is all her life will be going forward. When she reconnects with an old college friend on Facebook, her boring life takes on a steamy and interesting spin online. As she and Jack reconnect and chat online, their ordi ...more

Available to Chat is a new take on a very old subject: Love, lust, and the interesting in-between. The first line of the blurb is, "People tell Olivia that her online beau may actually help her fading marriage." We know how that turns out, right? Well, no, we don't. It's complicated, interesting, full of great conversations and convolutions.
Sutton's dialog puts you right in the middle of Olivia's thoughts, a good place to be. Olivia's clever, funny and in the throes of indecision. Sutton's desc

This book takes a peak into the ordinary life of Olivia as she struggles with her feelings, her desires and what her future holds. The characters are engaging and relatable in the way they interact and respond to each other as the story unfolds. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to other books by Jacy Sutton!

I loved the characters in this book, they seemed so real, with real life issues. Olivia is endearing as are her friends in her life. I curled up on my sofa and found myself lost in the story, oftentimes with a smile on my face. This is a delightful read.

DNF at 18%. I just couldn’t get into the writing style. Story sounded promising but I just couldn’t anymore.

Available to Chat is the story of a dissatisfied woman dangerously blurring the lines between chatting and cheating.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

One of the very first things I noticed was how real Olivia’s situation felt. The awkwardness, even after years of marriage, in the bedroom. The way a family can spread into their own corners of the house. The disconnectedness that can happen even when they are all in the same room. It felt so real and so possible. What else felt real? The unfairness of losi

As a debut novel by Jacy Sutton, I found this absolutely brilliant. It's an entirely unique read, about a woman trapped in a passionless, sexually unsatisfying marriage, and having the temptation of an online beau who is able to reignite her.

I have to admit, I'm not one for books that deal with affairs as the theme normally makes me feel physically sick; Sutton has managed to weave a tale that is simultaneo

I read a wide variety of literature. With how prolific I am as reader, people are often surprised about how much I enjoy the "Mommy Porn" trend. I read "50 shades" as well as other novels like it. The books I have enjoyed from this genre were about twenty somethings maybe some in their thirties.
Available to Chat speaks to my generation. The mom of children in High School. This is a good thing because you could relate to so many of the characters but at times you didn't want to understand their

I was provided a copy by NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review...

Very interesting, especially in this day and time of social media run amok... I remember a day when that was "me", only it wasn't FaceBook, but AOL, and I wasn't married, but, well... Oh, yeah, both times... :)

Certainly an enjoyable book, even if one doesn't approve of the behavior involved; but, again, in this day and time, it does happen often.

Would definitely recommend to read, and hope to read more by this author i

Jacy Sutton's debut novel is a thoughtful, funny, and erotic take on modern marriage and lust in the digital age. A twist on the "chick-lit" genre, here the heroine isn't a thirty something finding her way in the world, but a wiser fifty something at a crossroads between the comforts of her stale marriage and the regrets of not just what could have been, but the possibilities of who she might still become.

I loved the premise of Sutton's book about two people who take their virtual relationship way further than a friendship. I was in suspense to know how things would turn out. Can't ask for much else!

Quick read with good portrayal of the disintegration of a marriage. Just wish the main character (Olivia) was more self-aware.

Writing Available to Chat was like crawling into bed between Olivia and Mike. Sometimes it was sexy and dangerous and some nights I was able to just get some really good sleep.

Days are spent writing, walking my Brittany Spaniel, hanging with my family - my husband and three nearly grown sons, Nights, I ruminate on the next story I'll tell and I try to reconcile the pride of writing a soon-to-be-p
