Love in the Time of Murder is the final installment of The Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives Mysteries by D.E. Haggerty. Although the characters are recurring throughout the series, each book can easily be read alone.

It’s told in the first person by newcomer-to-the-knitters, Dee Clark, and she has such sass and snark, you can’t help but laugh out loud. This book was so much fun, the story so infectious, and the characters so relatable, I

I have read each of the books in this series and if this is the last one in the series (which I hope this isn’t) the series is going out with a great fun bang. All the characters are back in full force. We even get to see Damien and Jack and how they are doing. Now the ladies are focusing their attention on helping shy Dee not only stave off murder charges but trying to get her matched up with Tommy.

Again this group of grey haired knitters are a hoot. They never cease to put a smile on my face

Love in the Time of Murder is the third book in this series written by D.E. Haggerty. It has the familiar characters that we have learned to love, and unfortunately will miss at the end of this one. The author has decided to end the series with this book, and I for one will miss the gray haired ladies!

In this story, we are thrown into the drama of Dee (Delilah) who is fleeing an abusive husband. Dee is the granddaughter of one of the Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives, and is living with her while

Dee left her abusive husband, Brock, temporarily moving to her grandmother's house. Her grandmother has a group of friends known as the The Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives because as a group they have solved a couple of crimes. Not happy with his wife leaving him, Brock finds Dee and comes to take her back home. She refuses to leave with him but is nervous that he found her. Before she can do anything about this, Brock is found dead and she is a suspect. Of course, the "detectives" decide they h ...more

Who would think a murder mystery would be funny? This one has zany characters and hot
guys. Add the Grandma's knitting circle that love to solve mysteries and you have an
amazing book! I really liked Dee's Grandma and her friends. They stood by Dee when she was
accused of her husband's murder. They made sure they were told every new development. They
wanted to put the puzzle together of who offed him. Who wants to get on the bad side of a
bunch of grandmothers? Not this reader! It was a fun read.

Are you interested in a good cozy mystery? Here's your lucky day, I'm going to present you with one :).

How much fun are these books? SO MUCH.

This time we get the story of Dee, who has moved back to the town she was raised in with her grandmother - who happens to be one of the "Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives." She has left her abusive husband and is basically trying to keep a low profile, and move on with her life.

Her husband shows up and demands that she return home, but Dee refuses. At the insistence of her new friends and her grandmother, she files for an order of protection from her husband.

The Gray-Haired Knitting Group is at it again. They just can't let a mystery pass them by. Nor can they pass up the chance to meddle in someone's love life.

Poor Dee is their focus in this story. She has no clue what she is in for when she comes back to live with her grandmother after leaving her abusive husband. She puts up one heck of a fight, but in the end she realizes that there is no stopping this group of grannies. Their natural nosey-ness comes in handy again when they try to figure out

I have to admit it. I’m a fan of D.E. Haggerty’s work. Her books always help me to cheer up even if my mood is very bad. That happened when I read ‘Jack gets his man’, it happened again while reading ‘Love in The Time Of Murder - The Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives, Book 3’. I had a bad cold, coughing and sneezing, but ‘Love in The Time Of Murder’ was like a cup of hot chocolate to me. Despite the fact it’s a part of a book series, it can read as a standalone. However if you love cozy mysteries, ...more

This is a fun light harted murder mystery. I want to read more of the series. DE says this is the last one, but it was my first one.

I want to go back sometime and read the first two books in the series.

There is a lot of characters in this novel a wide range of them. They make me laugh. I can see why they scare some people.

Delilah has left her husband and moved back were her grandma lives. She does not want everyone to know her business but they all do. Dee works for Jack at his dress shop.

[The Gray-Haired Knitting Society #3)

A totally scrumptious cozy mystery, third in the Gray-Haired Knitting Society series, LOVE IN THE TIME OF MURDER hosts a delightful cast, who live, love, date, dance, enjoy fashion and knitting, and eat well. They're also incredibly devoted to each other and to their loved ones. Of course, there is also a jerk: granddaughter Delilah's soon-to-be-ex-husband, violent, controlling, and abusive. This is one of my favorite books of this year. From the moment I started reading until the moment I finished it, I was swept up in Dee's life. In spite of her trials and tribulations, she never looses her sass and spirit, which is simply adorable.

This book is the last in the series, but can also be read as a standalone. However, after having read this one, I plan to go back and read the first two in the near future.

This particular novel has murder, mystery, romance and humor: what more could y

“Love in the Time of Murder” is the third book in the “Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives” series, and the only book in the series that I have read.

Delilah “Dee” Clark is a young woman who recently left an abusive marriage. She’s returned to the small town where she grew up and the grandmother who raised her after she lost her parents. All too quickly, the offending husband, Brock, shows up ready to take Dee ‘back home.’ She puts him off temporarily, but before she can even process his visit or her

Love in the Time of Murder is book three in The Gray-Haired Knitting Detectives series by this author. I will confess I haven’t read the first two, but I didn’t have any trouble getting into the story and understanding the relationships of the characters. I understand this is the last book in the series, and the previous two are also stand-alones.

This is a fun romp of a cozy. Delilah, or Dee as she is known to her friends, is the granddaughter of a group of elderly ladies who get together to kni

This book focuses on Dee, freshly separated. Her grandma being one of the gray-haired knitting detectives, it does not come as a surprise that Dee is ‘persuaded’ to file for a restraining order and the circle’s matchmaker tries to set her up with an adequate partner. When her estranged husband’s body is found, she is the number one suspect.

With Love in the Time of Murder, D. E. Haggerty has created another expertly worded and pretty funny suspense story with a romantic touch. The story comprises

I've enjoyed the authors previous cozy mysteries but this one just rubbed me the wrong way.

The heroine managed to escape an abusive marriage but every single person in her life, however well meaning, still controls her in some way.

Then we have the love interest. He goes into her house without permission, literally carries her around, posessivly puts his hand on her in the presence of other men.

Haggerty does tend to write alpha make love interests and I'm the first to admit that they'r

As with the other books in this series, and I enjoyed D.E. Haggerty’s writing style and the humor she injected throughout the book. This book contains a large amount of strong adult language and while there aren’t any graphic adult situations, there are lots of with sexual innuendos that may offend some readers. This is an easy read, with a good plot and well-developed, quirky characters.

I grew up reading everything I could get my grubby hands on from my mom's Harlequin romances to Nancy Drew to Little Women. When I wasn't flipping pages in a library book, I was penning horrendous poems, writing songs no one should ever sing, or drafting stories which have thankfully been destroyed. College and a stint in the U.S. Army came along, robbing me of free time to write and read, althoug ...more
