Rare photos of Confederate soldiers in many different types of clothing - both issued and unissued. Of particular interest is the individuallity expressed through unissued equipment; you get a feeling that 'Johnny Reb' was use to being out in the open - that he did not just 'go camping' once in a while - that he was used to living off the land.
