Brother Sebastian is in trouble. Again. Banished from New England and sent to train with the hyper-violent Hammers, Sebastian wants to atone, but an army of necromancers, battle-mages, and at least one sorceress is seriously messing up his plans. James, former Inquisitor and disciple of Thaddeus, is lurking about, and even with the help of a bunch of heavily-armed Hammers, ...more

Soulless Monk, the second book in the Inquisitor series, follows Sebastian and the Hammers.
Sebastian found a heroic status with the Hammers previously, and we find that not all share this respect for him. Sebastian's world changes again as a new mentor takes on his continued training. When he finds and takes on a witch by himself, the Hammers find it is only the tip of the iceberg. Something big is going down in the witch world. Necromancers seeks to return a dispatched Thaddeus, while James, an

The Inquisitor Series is what Harry Dresden would have been if he'd been a church going man.

Fast paced with deep lore, Soulless Monk is a worthy sequel to Junior Inquisitor.

Sebastian is a great character with a lot of yet untapped potential and I look forward to seeing how he develops.

The rest of the cast is colourful and varied and incredibly likeable, regardless of what side they're on.

This is a great read if you're to devour something quickly.

This is a very good story from the genre of modern dark horror. I loved the almost Clancy-esque writing style and the great action.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

The entire Inquisitor Series is certainly worthy a TV series ! …..Wishes for this……

My advice: Buy the whole series because you don’t want to be without the next book.

I will forever be obsessed with Sebastian and Thaddeus. There…I said it….
When I had read the synopsis on the back cover and saw that it ended with: "….a newly returned Thaddeus”, I had known that I was in for another round of heart pumping, anxiety riddled, mayhem and madness !

The book begins with the rise of Thaddeus and takes you

I dove into this book for more about Sebastian and the witch hunting monks. Sadly, it didn't hit me anywhere near as hard as the first. The world building is still there, the ingenuity and horror of evil creatures is also there, but the story felt lacking to me. There was a lot going on, but most of it was battles and action scenes.

This book actually tells three different stories (and points of view): Sebastian's, James', and Thaddeus'. James' carried the plot, but Sebastian's training and figh

Lincoln has been described in many different ways by a lot of different people, with the common, yet unscientific, consensus being "insane." He is an Army Reservist who has had the pleasure of visiting the Middle East five times so far. Currently residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia with his lovely wife, little girl, and Calvin the Helper Dog. Interesting tidbit; Calvin the Helper Dog assists ...more
