With easy-to-follow information, screenshots and helpful step-by-steps, this guide will take your web design to a new level!
I wish this would have been the first book on Javascript I ever picked up. I gleaned a few tips from it, but all-in-all it was below my level of learning. That said, this book certainly earned it's place on my desk as a quick reference as I'm moving forward.
I have read beginning programming books in C, C++, Visual Basic, PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS3, HTML5, and Python. This book on Javascript is hands down the best "entry level" book I've ever picked up.
It's not perfect in terms used perhaps, and it will not take the reader very deep at all, but that is not the point. It's about going from knowing nothing, to being able to understand a few things in the language. For that purpose, and how well it does that, It earned a 5 star rating.
If you are interested in learning Javascript, after you pick up a small amount of HTML, this should be the first javascript book you pick up. It will not be the only by any means, but it should be the first.
