Roman- A real "grade A" asshole to woman. He doesn't believe in love, he doesn't believe in hope for him to change his ways. He uses woman and tosses them with no remorse, just floating his way through life with work and his next fill. Until he meets his "Angel", One kiss is all it took for him to get addicted to her.
Lilly- A damaged soul who tries to escape the demons from her past everyday. She has multiple disorders she continues to battle day in a day out. All I think Lilly wants is to love and be loved in return. Then She meets Roman. That was it. She believe she can fix this broken man. What she didn't expect was both of their broken souls would clash and ruin each other but at the same time mend each other.
This story isn't for the weak hearted. It was a very dark fairy tale. The whole journey for Roman and Lilly was difficult from the beginning to the end. It wasn't like one of those fake love stories, I related to this book to much. Love isn't easy, if it was it wouldn't be worth it. Some people might read this story and say "wow, what the hell is wrong with this couple" but you don't really think about how real the kind of situation is. I've been there and done that. You don't realize what you sacrifice, and go through when you're in love. You fight until you have no fight left in you. So this book was like wake up call for me.
This was L.Harveys first novel, and It being her first I'd say it was very well written and the story line was amazing. There are a few edits that needed to be done, but she already told me she knew and was fixing them as we talked. She is self publishing it, so I can't wait for what is in store for this amazing author. Congratulations Harvey, Job well done. I can't be any more proud of you. I'm happy that I got to be with you on this wonderful journey of yours. I can't wait for book 2!!!! Don't keep us waiting too long!

"The end comes too soon, just like dreaming of angels"
Roman and Lily, two broken souls who collide into each other, ruin each other but at the same time they are capable to mend and complement each other in a dark and unique way. They were imperfectly perfect for each other.
This was not an easy journey for them, they were not easy either, it was crude and real.
Roman, with his filthy mouth and dominant persona captivated me. Even though, it was not love at first sight between us, I loved him at the end. He was a fighter, sadly he was not fighting for the right thing, no, he was fighting against love. Fortunately for him, he met Lily, and this is when you have the chance to witness his defeat, because we know that at the end love always wins.
Lily, I had a hard time understanding what was happening in Lily's head. The girl was too needy. I got it, she had a kind of disorder, but some of her actions were a little frustrating for me, on the other hand she was just a girl who wanted to be loved, and in a twisted way, even though I was not agree with her behavior I understood her, love is not easy and when you find your soulmate you do what you have to do to keep it.
This was a dark fairy tale. Well done L. harvey, I really enjoyed it.

I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC of Broken Love. From the start, this tragically beautiful story took me on an emotional roller coaster. Roman and Lily both have many dark and twisted demons, yet they are imperfectly perfect for each other. Roman made me hate, love, hate and then love him with all of my being. There was such a pull to this man, they way he was written was raw and real. Lily comes from a tragic past, but she wants what most females dream of. To love and to be loved. There is so much I could say about this raw and original love story, BUT I don't want to give anything away. Countless times I swear my heart stopped beating and I had to swear at L. Harvey for killing me the best way possible. ;) If anyone wants to chat about this tragic, yet beautiful story.. I'm here! A definite must read!

I was so lucky to have been given an ARC to read by this lovely first time author. I had fallen for her character Roman, before I even knew what his story was and had been desperately waiting to meet him - and I can happily say that this book was worth the wait!
While there are some editing issues that have since been corrected,the story grabbed me from the start and did not let go. Roman and Lily's story is brutal, and hard but I wanted and needed them to survive their pasts.
I loved all of the secondary characters, and can not wait to read each of their stories.
L. Harvey has a unique voice, and a beautiful style of writing that I am honored to have read. For a debut author it packs a punch and I am so excited to read more from her in the future!

Broken Love is titled perfectly. It should read with a warning:
Expect to be overwhelmingly devastated by the intensity of their love
I’m used to reading about passionate love, irreplaceable connections and the different interpretations of soul mate. What I haven’t read in a really long time is a love story, so dark and raw – it’s almost toxic.
Broken Love is L. Harvey’s Debut Novel where she introduces readers to two very complex individuals, Roman and Lily. The story line is formed around their unexplainable and unhealthy attachment to one another. Fighting their own personal demons, readers hearts will be torn deciding whether Roman and Lily are better off together or apart.
Harvey has created characters that are unlike any others. With their broken hearts and invisible scars, Harvey expressively writes of their individual anguish, pain and heartache. Her writing allows for the readers to feel the pain that is attached to each scene and as each secret is revealed and each feeling is dissected, we start to understand the true complexities that plague their relationship.
Lily and Roman are a true example of the fine line that love can cross. From independent to co-dependent, happy to sad, having relationship security to being crushingly insecure. The list is endless. Harvey’s depiction of their intimate connection, their addiction and survival mode, like craving for one another will blow you away.

Roman and Lily come from very traumatic pasts; Roman's including abuse. The moment they meet, these two experience such an attraction and a deep emotional connection they cannot get away from.
Roman tries to push Lily away from the very beginning but Lily doesn't give up on their connection that easily. Broken Love is the perfect title for this book.
I loved the prologue. It was fantastically written and one of the best ones I've ever read!
When I began reading the book I found it a bit difficult to follow the story for a couple of reasons. The sequence of events is sometimes confusing. Instead of having a sequence, the author takes you on a journey of memories in which the characters recount past events. Although, I really love when this is done in a book, I think that, perhaps, it might have been done too much and it didn't allow the reader to easily follow the sequence of events. Secondly, the book contained several grammatical errors making it difficult to sometimes interpret the message that was trying to be conveyed.
I think this author has so much potential! The story line was very intriguing and I definitely enjoyed the implementation of mental heal issues from both characters vs. just one. This is not seen often in books and it shows how brave the author was in challenging herself to write these kinds of issues experienced from both main characters.

Wow this book completely reminds me of beauty and the beast but this version by far is so much better and dirtier lol. Roman and Lily story will bring you through so many different emotions. It's like a rollercoaster with the ups and downs I'm 100% positive anyone who reads this book will love it! I have definitely fallen in love with it. Roman is definitely a a broken soul in my eyes but every girl will fall in love with him. Lily is just as broken there story will bring to edge of your seat!! Lucy Harvey girl this book definily worth 5stars plus it's amazing doll I loved it and I know anyone else you reads will love it. And yes Roman court is definily a new book boyfriend I can't wait to hear more about there story!!!

"the kind that strikes a nerve and implants itself in your being." This is exactly what this book has done to me! I can't even begin to tell you how much I looooved it. I was lucky and blessed to get an ARC and just wow if you ever talk to Lucy her work shines through this book and she is such a beautiful person inside and out! I'm all over the place I don't even know where to begin lol but as always I hilighted the whole book and her some quotes an scenes I loved and some that just Effin shocked me lol
I Love the dark mystery In The beginning and how you have so many questions and you can't out the book down! Abut then you don't want to finish it too fast but you can't help it yeah this is that kind of book lol I picked some of my fave quotes but the ABSOLUTE ONE THAT GOT UGHH cut me seriously to the core especially with all the things that are happening when Roman says this ahhhh just blows me away! “Loving someone can be hard but you make it look so easy. Knowing there are guys out there who would kill to be in your shoes. Knowing they see the true magic in her smile, the light that glimmers in her eyes could lead even the most broken of men into a hopeful daze. Knowing there are others than can offer her all the love and magic in this world or even the world itself but by some stroke of luck she chose you. Even when you push her and test her, even when you expose the ugliest parts of your soul she chooses you.”This made me heart stop HOW FLIPPIN BEAUTIFUL I FLOVE! It ....This gutted me! Seriously rip my clothes off now and take my heart it is yours while it melts!!! Hahah too many feels def not a NOVEL to read while it is that time of the month lol

To think she believed she could end it with one text. I know I messed up, I messed up good, so when I received that message telling me loud and clear she saw Odette’s photo it caused an unease in my heart. I froze at the thought. Everything was alright since Lily lit up my world. Before my life was colored by a dim grey, now it’s a storm of multi-colored chaos. She showed me the true beauty of all colors, even the beauty in the coldness of blue. I take it Lily doesn’t know of Ava?” She said in assurance. Aw man is he only going out with herbs she looks like his sister :( or maybe that is what drew him in at first and then lily became her own person

Everything was alright since Lily lit up my world. Before my life was colored by a dim grey, now it’s a storm of multi-colored chaos. I Love the dark mystery In The beginning and how you have so many questions and you can't out the book down! Abut then you don't want to finish it too fast but you can't help it yeah this is that kind of book lol I picked some of my fave quotes but the ABSOLUTE ONE THAT GOT UGHH cut me seriously to the core especially with all the things that are happening when Roman says this ahhhh just blows me away! “Loving someone can be hard but you make it look so easy. Knowing there are guys out there who would kill to be in your shoes. Knowing they see the true magic in her smile, the light that glimmers in her eyes could lead even the most broken of men into a hopeful daze. L.Harvey, you have done it. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. What a wonderful read. Roman is a grade A asshole, and I love it and hate it at the same time. Lily is a sweetheart, kind and gentle. Both with a dark past. They complete each other, but when Lily tries to get him to tell her about his demons he turns away from her.
I don't want to spoil the read. I recommend this book. You wont be disappointed.

I read this book with a whole different Idea of what it was about. Yea im those readers that go in guessing what the story is about..lol. Its a thing!..lol. This book is passionate, beautiful, and totally frustrating to the tenth power!!...It had me wanting to go in my kindle and help fix everything and everyone. I love the passion and determination that the characters had for each other to make things right. Theirs just so much wonderful written complexity in the story that made every character in Broken Love stand on its own and shine, even when the book was really about Lily and Rome. I totally cant wait for the second book in the series. Kudos to you L. Harvey!!!...You have given us Reading Junkies something wonderful to look forward to.....

They broke each other down. All lily wanted was love and to save roman from his own demons could they, would they survive this rollercoaster together?
Roman needed lily to save him . I wont spoil anything just wait and see . Just know lily is his Angel ..Roman is a hot dominant alpha male with a filthy sexy mouth. This is their dark and twisted fairy tale. Great story enjoyed it very much.

From the first few pages I knew this story was going to be one where I could NOT figure out what the 'F' was coming at me next. This story was beautiful in such a tragic kinda way, it had me on a non-stop flight through emotions. Both main characters (Roman and Lily) both have demons that they deal with daily. Who would have known that this being their life would make them somehow perfect for each other.
I wanted to throat punch Roman many times however, he had me loving him in the same breath. I see how Lily was so consumed with him (cause all us readers were too haha)
With this said, I will not disclose any teasers (even though I want too)Be sure to add this to your TBR list ASAP! I think that if you want a good read with 2 emotionally/mentally destroyed people who somehow find what they never thought was real, this is the read for you.
I cannot wait to see what comes next from this amazing author!

4 emotionally dead stars!
I have to start by saying this is not your average Love story. Lots of books say that but this one actually isn't. This is dark and a bit twisted. Roman is more than a bit twisted. He is a mess of a man. There were times in this book I wanted to throw my kindle at something. Roman took it right to the edge of my comfort zone. The author managed to get the balance of his demons/soft side pretty much spot on.
I loved Lily, it would have been easy to write her as a weak girl that caved easily but you don't get that feeling at all.
I don't think you could ask for more from a book. sex scenes off the chart, sweet moments and gut wrenching emotion.
The authors writing style is different to anything else I've read in a long time, and you can literally feel how much emotion has gone into writing this story. By the end of this book I felt wrung out! I think I had been through every emotion possible. yes there were a few editing issues but these take absolutely nothing away from the story.
I cant wait to see where Lucy takes these characters next. I just hope I've recovered from my book hangover in time!

Rating 4.5/5❤️ right from the start I was captivated by this story!! L. Harvey has a way with her words that's nothing but pure magic. I love how raw the connection was with Roman and Lily and I absolutely loved that this book touched on dark topics such as assault and mental illness. The only reason this beauty was not rated 5 stars was because I felt like the ending was rushed and I wanted there to be more but I guess I could never get enough Roman. Cant wait for the next books in this series!

I love this book so hard!!! I'm a sucker for true love that fight to get their HEA! Roman was a hot alpha male who didn't believe he deserved love but that all changed when Lily came crashing into his world! It wasn't all rainbows and unicorns...their love was intense and strong and put to the test! I love a book that pulls me in and makes me FEEL what the characters are feeling and that is exactly what this book did! I couldn't put it down! It was real. It was raw. It was exactly what I believe true love should be! A love that isn't perfect but is strong and indestructible! Add to your TBR now!

My damaged Roman
Ugh! This book was so addicting!! But, I want you to know that upon purchasing this book, you're going to want to punch Roman Court at least 3 or 4 times to the throat!! Lol He was killing me! But, Lily made me just as sad... Her need to not only to be loved, but for someone to actual believe in it just as much, was heart breaking at times. Roman is dirty and raw to the core. You will fall in love with these two damaged souls. As, this was L. Harvey's debut novel, I look forward to many more!!

Holy hotness! This was a good one. I loved Roman! And hated him but mostly loved him! Isn't that how the best Alphas are? There were a few typos and mis placed words but honestly the power behind the story was enough to look over that! I hate spoilers so I won't give anything away because it's a must read! Seriously good book and I'm so thankful I got the chance to read it! I would be Romans Angel any day! I loved how these two broken people healed each other...awe I swoon

4 exasperated stars...geez I felt like my heart and brain was on a damn roller coaster UGH!!!!! One minute I hate Roman then the next I'm loving then hating him again. I feel like I need a drink after reading this book LOL!!!
