Toby is back and ready to fight vampires. Together with Jack, Rachel and Natalie they head to the Loubcroy, Scotland. It seems that vampire Alister McKeen rules the village with an iron fist. Toby is worried about Rachel and Jack is searching for a missing hunter and his girlfriend Angelina. Jack has another reason to hate Alister, he is the vampire that killed Jack’s parents. This is going to be a taxing mission for everyone, if they make it out alive.

I love this series. There is a great story,

Vampires and warlocks-- these fictional creatures always lure me into reading a fantasy genre because they are just so mythical and fantastic. When I've read the synopsis of James Drummond's The Agreement, I was instantly intrigued that I had to read it immediately. I was not disappointed. The story had a lot to offer. In this book, a colleague of Toby and Jack goes missing while they were doing their job. And in order to find her, they had to go to the Scottish Highlands. The danger awaited the ...more

The Agreement by James Drummond is the third book in his Shadow Tales series that takes his readers to a small Scottish hamlet infested with vampires. Jack Steele has been searching for years for the vampire that killed his parents, when his partner, Angelina, found his henchman's trademark at a murder. She pursues a lead, while Jack manipulates Toby into joining the hunters again. Rachel and Natalie follow Jack and Toby to help them, but it is hard to convince a whole town of people to stand-up ...more

The action just gets more intense in this, book three of the Shadow Tales series.

Toby has inherited new powers after his run in with the warlock in book two. He also still can NOT follow instructions/orders as his fellow hunter Jack Steele tries to curb his enthusiasm for his new calling.

In this third book, The Agreement, that's gonna come back and bite him in the butt.

Jack Steele has FINALLY tracked down the elusive vampire that killed his parents when he was a child, and he's planning on only

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I thought this was a really good read. The characters and some plot lines from previous books make a return in this book. While I did find this book to be good, I found it to be a lot harder to get into than the previous books. The storyline took a long time to get going and for some reason it was a lot harder to keep track of the characters in this particular book. There was also a lot of shifting perspectives

Excellent read. This third book was just as good as the first two in this series. Awesome characters and plot. Well written and fun to read. Tons and tons of bad guys and action. A twist here and there to surprise you. No graphic sexual content or foul language. Of course a lot of fighting with magic, stakes and guns against the vampires. I recommend this book and series for teens and up. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Agreement both surprised me and met my expectations. I do very much enjoy the characters and their development, but I think that perhaps the book would have been easier to read with fewer pages of descriptions. The point of view switches within a chapter were also a bit confusing.
