As a new member of a PC(USA) church as of last week, I found this resource to be quite informative and helpful overall. I have been a part of several other denominations, in childhood and adulthood, and I was never aware of or encouraged to seek out a resource that explained denominational beliefs and practices in this way. I appreciate that this book also acknowledges that the Bible is not to be an object of worship, and that it has some weird stuff in it.

This is a half-serious introduction to behaving like a properly socialized Christian in a Presbyterian context. We bought it on a whim because we were intrigued by its self-deprecating tone. It actually contains enough useful information that I imagine a few churches actually use it for new member classes.

This book was recommended to me by several people, including a pastor, as an introduction to the Presbyterian denomination. It is a bit silly, and very easy to read and understand.
