Going in now yay ! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ☆ Update ☆finished days ago( sorry this is late !) and I was extremely pleased with how this turned out :) Jean Kelso just gets better and better with every book she creates . I love her creativity and passion she puts into her books ! The storyline and characters are excellent and I didn't want to put this one down . I don't give spoilers so check it out for yourself I highly recommend, also please read the first one in the series Circumstances Controlled first , if you can , ( book one ) that's what I did to get the full effect , and I don't regret re- reading it again cause I fell in love again with all the characters and whole storyline ! And it makes going into this book even more intense . Thank you Jean . I recieved an arc copy for my honest opinion.

Mel and jack are by far my favourite couple in jeans books. I loved the amazing chemistry between these two. Mel has a past that I did not expect but was pleasantly surprised at how well it was written out. Jack. Screams manly, dreamy and pure testosterone.
There are a few pages I really disliked and when you read them (which you better) you'll know which pages I mean.
The adult time. Well played!
We of course have several appearances from gabe and belle which was nice to see them playing an avid role throughout this book. Most authors just throw in a mi or appearance and then forget about them.
The karma that Mel's father gets is very deserving.
All of this and a HEA!

I really liked this book the suspense in it had me turning the pages to find out what will happen next and the relationship between the characters filled my heart. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Well balanced romance and intrigue
This is a nice easy read and kept me on the edge trying to figure out what would happen next. And off course very romantic that kept the balance perfect.

A good follow up to the first.
I absolutely love these characters and couldn't wait to start this book immediately after the first in the series. A good, fast paced suspense story, I really enjoyed it. For me this one wasn't has good as the first though. The 1st person narrative bothered me more with this one. Although, that is m9st likely personal preference and not a problem with the writing. If you read the first you definitely want to follow close behind with Jack and Mel's story. The book does contain some violence, the rape issue I felt was brushed away a bit too quickly. Especially after the previous leading lady, Belle, had spent years fighting with her own difficulties. I think the fallout of that situation would have been enough without the secondary storyline. It became a bit to unbelievable in my mind. When I read contemporary, I expect the story to follow typical social and experiential norms.
That being said, I do recommend this book and hope you will give the entire series a try.

Jack’s ready to settle down. His years of travelling with work have been fun, but he’s ready to lay down some roots. When he meets up with Mel again through his best friend’s girlfriend, he doesn’t expect the attraction it brings.
Can Mel escape her past? Will Jack build a present? Sometimes things are out of our control. Sometimes, circumstances just unravel…

From the moment Mel and Jack met there was a mutual attraction, but neither acted on it. It takes a dangerous situation for Jack to realize just how much Mel means to him. Can he protect her from people who want to hurt her, and can he convince Mel that they belong together? I loved how romantic Jack was towards Mel, not to mention their amazing chemistry that raised the temperature in the room quite a bit. I love Jean Kelso's books because I can't put them down once I start, because I need to know what's gonna happen. The suspense puts me on the edge of my seat. I was also left swooning and wishing I could be in the heroine's shoes when her man is worshipping her.

This is the story of Mel and Jack. The chemistry between them is instant and sparks off the page. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. I was pulled into the story from the get go. Jean Kelso has a great way of pulling a reader in and leaving them wanting more. These are my favorite characters from Jean so far.
This story has a bit of everything. Suspense, Romance, Drama. This book may contain triggers for some readers.

Jack will do everything he can to help and protect those he loves. He is sweet, caring and a bit Alpha. a great combination in the hero.
