This is the third book I've read by this author, and it won't be my last. I've loved everything I've read by her so far. She writes funny, witty, sweet and swoony books. I can't tell you how often I laughed out loud, or highlighted so many funny things. This is book 2 in The Royals of Monterra series and although it could be read as a standalone, I wouldn't miss out on book 1, it was fantastic.
"I never realized how much I like surprises until I met you."
This was Lemon's story, Kat's bestie from book 1. She'd always had a thing for Dante, Nico's younger brother.
"This boy was so slick he could steal the sweet from sugar without touching a grain."
But Lemon also had a huge mistrust of men, her history being that they always cheated on her. And Dante was, well, the epitome of that kind of man...at least that's what Lemon thought.
"Haven't you heard that reformed playboys always make the best kind of husbands?"
Aside from the fact that Lemon , she wanted desperately to believe Dante could be different. Did I mention that she also was forced to participate in a 'Bacheor-like' reality show starring the hot prince himself? That was hilarious and probably very much like what happens behind the scenes. The only thing that bothered me was Lemon's stubbornness as the book went on. I completely understood her reservations but after awhile, it became kinda redundant.
"I think she called me a 'daft, lying minger,' but don't quote me, because I'm not fluent in psychotic whore." LOL.
The reality show gave Dante the excuse he needed to win over Lemon, and prevented Lemon from denying what was right in front of her. I can't say how much I laughed and loved this. The ending was great and will continue in Rafe's--Dante's twin--book. This series is awesome and I recommend anything by this author. Loved it.

3.5 Royal Stars
Royal Chase is not part of a series, but it’s the second book after Royal Date, so if you want to read it in order, start with Royal Date. I enjoyed Royal Date, I found it really adorable and light-hearted with mild angst.
Royal Chase is written a little differently and I had some issues with that. I’m not a fan of angst, I can take it in moderation, but Royal Chase is a completely filled angst book. At times it was very hard for me to read, I just wanted to slap the Heroine but I am getting ahead of myself.
Lemon does the Price’s PR. Dante is a Prince and is Nico’s brother, who was in first book. I’m not a fan of Dante because he’s a shameless flirt and it seems he only wants to get into Lemon’s pants. Lemon has major boyfriend issues because all of her boyfriends have cheated on her except for her fiancé.
Yes, you heard that right, she has a fiancé. You can already feel my angst? There is zero cheating in this book, meaning, zero steam. I do not like cheating and no, not every book has to have steam, BUT a kiss would be nice. Oh but wait, there are kisses, during the flashbacks. The flash backs are during book one’s time frame. I do not care for the flashbacks because it just proved how much more of a silly girl Lemon was.
Yes, Lemon is silly, she is engaged but she’s on the dating show to save her butt from getting fired. She’s obviously into the prince, but he’s a player, so he will break her heart. I was okay with Lemon being engaged, but I figured it wouldn’t last the entire time in the book. I wanted a little steam and Lemon and Dante to move forward with the relationship. I didn’t want the WHOLE book to be about Lemon with her fiancé and Dante being known as a player.
I wanted other problems, like the producers or the other girls on the show or even the public people. Overall, it’s a cute book. I love the idea of a Royal Hero and a “southern girl”. I use the term southern girl loosely because I am from the south and I felt like the southern references were forced and didn’t come naturally, but that’s me.
I think this book worked for a lot of people because it’s has elements people like, which didn’t work for me. It had too much angst, too much tension and not enough steam. BUT a cute book regardless.

Loved it!
I didn't bother reading the synopsis when I picked this one up, I just started reading. It's actually kind of fun to do that sometimes, just go into a book blind. Luckily, it ended up being one of my favorite storylines, a Bachelor-esque setting where our hero is on a reality show having to choose from a bunch of different women. I've watched the real show for years and enjoy the setting in books quite a bit. I don't know if I should be embarrassed to admit that.
Lemon is a lovely character. I enjoyed her a lot in the first book and she grew on me even more in this one. I admit, there were times I wanted to shake her and I did get a little tired of her constantly thinking the worst of Dante when he was constantly proving himself, but I got where she was coming from and why she acted the way she did. I loved Dante, he was very swoon-worthy. The story sucked me in right from the start and as typical with a Wilson novel, I had a hard time putting it down.
Overall, a highly enjoyable read and one I would easily recommend. While it is the second book in the series, it would stand well on its own. You don't have to read the first book to enjoy this one, but I thought the first book was also a lot of fun.

I didn't expect to get far with this one, to be honest. I mean, it's clearly a wish-fulfillment fantasy romance with a chaser of reality-show weird. So I surprised myself approaching the halfway point and knowing I was all set to stick with it to the end.
The thing about wish-fulfillment fantasy is that you have to give it its premise—in this case that there are people of rank and fortune who will fall in love with someone "normal". And you have to give it all the follow-on conditions that they have to meet, get to know one another etc. The problem is, most authors of this kind of fiction can't seem to help themselves from piling on other fantastic elements and you end up with unbelievable characters who dance on the author's whim rather than with anything like characterization or plot or story. Sariah Wilson does a decent job taking this fantasy and making it into a story I enjoyed despite some of the wild details needed for it to take place.
That starts with Lemon as a character. An unusual name, but also an unusual lead for this kind of fantasy. She's from a rich family herself and her motivations and actions feel coherent and in line with that background. I didn't like her emotional damage, starting with getting engaged to a drip out of motivations of fear and security rather than, you know, love. That was hard for me to indulge. But it felt real and consistent and "in character". And I liked her taking charge of her career (starting with having one when she doesn't need to) and her interactions with Dante are delightful from the start. I didn't like how much of their relationship was buried in the first book (because I haven't read the first book), but Wilson catches us up when needed.
All that said, I was in it for Dante. I fell for him almost immediately and he was a delight throughout. And not because he's rich and a prince and can afford extravagant gestures. What was endearing was the thought he puts into those gestures and how very into Lemon he was. I particularly liked that he didn't try to justify all the misreads people have of him. This makes sense for someone naturally in the limelight and you can see how much he wants to be seen as himself and not the caricature that is inevitable for someone unable to control the things said about him in public, popular venues. Seeing Lemon have to reevaluate her sense of him as she grows to trust and love him was outstanding.
So yeah, Lemon was okay. The engagement thing grated throughout and aspects of the background felt rote beyond merely granting the book its premise. It was enough to keep this down to three stars, even as much as I enjoyed getting to know and love Dante.
A note about Chaste: The chastity is one aspect that didn't really work for me, either. Lemon is kind of a born-again chastity initiate. She talks about seeing the example of her best friend (from the first book). And how she always ends up betrayed. And that motivates her to stop partying and stop sleeping around. Which would work, if it didn't sound like it was coming from someone who had never slept around or partied. It felt like a tract on chastity is what I'm saying, rather than someone's actual experience talking.

Oh my goodness!! I LOVED this book! Lemon cracked me up in "Royal Date" and I came to love her even more in this book. This series is just so fun...I mean, what little girl didn't at least once dream about being a real princess when she was little?
Lemon has been burned by multiple cheating men in the past and she swears to protect her heart from falling in love and getting hurt at all costs...but fate has other ideas, and she ends up as a contestant on the reality show "Marry Me," competing for the heart of the dangerously handsome, womanizing Prince Dante...the same prince she swore to have nothing to do with, despite their incredible attraction. The only other hang up? Lemon is engaged. And even though I don't understand why girls would settle for less than true love, I did understand Lemon thinking she was making the "safe" choice by marrying Sterling. But the safe choice isn't always the right choice. ;)
Lemon was such a fun character. She was spunky, strong, kind and funny.
And Dante. Dante, Dante, DANTE. Loved him and all his Monterran sweetness and swooniness (yes, I made up that word). :) He was patient, loyal, thoughtful, loving, and utterly romantic. I loved how he cared for Lemon and wanted her to stay true to herself. How Lemon was able to withstand his charms as long as she did is beyond me. ;) But their chemistry and tension made the journey to their HEA a fun one.
I loved how the ending all came together...and the slight twist. So fun! And one that I didn't see it coming.
All in all, this was a great first book for 2016. Loved every minute. And Ms. Wilson has become a definite favorite author of mine! Can't wait for Rafe's story. :)
If you enjoy clean New Adult romance (with a royal storyline) with just the right amount of chemistry and tension, the do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK! You won't be disappointed!
Side note: I loved the Graeter's mention. Being a Columbus native, I know and have a deep affection for their ice cream. So that made me love Lemon even more!

PR agent Lemon Beauchamp would never admit to Prince Dante of Monterra that she is attracted to him, she is. However she knows she has no place in his life and he is royalty of course. Instead Lemon finds herself engaged to another, even if there is no love there, it should be a safe marriage.
Prince Dante is the newest bachelor for the reality show Marry Me. He already knows who he wants as his wife, but Lemon is untouchable at least for the moment. When a contestant gets removed from the show, Lemon is put in her place believing it will just be for the first round. However, other things are at play and Lemon begins to truly believe that she and Dante could build something together, but is it all a facade?
Very entertaining read. Felt like I was part of the Bachelor show. Gave you a glimpse behind the scenes and I loved Dante, swoon worthy hero. Had several unexpected twists I think readers will enjoy.

Wow, this book man, this book was...funny, cute, flirty, cheeky, cheesy, fun, romantic, hot, and just plain AMAZING. Gosh, I loved this so much!
In book one, I came across Sariah Wilson's book Royal Date from Kindle Scout and I fell in love with Mrs. Wilson's fairytale love story for Kat. And when I heard that there is a book 2 (and now a book 3!!!!!!!), I was beyond thrilled. I am so glad that I get to read about Kat's best friend Lemon and get to see if she gets a Happily Ever After with the hot Prince Dante.
The Characters:
Lemon and Dante are such great characters. They just make you fall in love with them. I also love how they are with each other, oh soooooo cute! They just seem so real, ya know? The characters in this fairytale aren't perfect, they have problems and that just makes them more appealing to a reader. It makes it so much easier to connect with them.
I also love the huge plot twists in this book, like WOAH!!!!!! .
All in all, this was such a cute book and I highly recommend you go check out book 1 Royal Date so you can get a backstory (but you don't HAVE to, this book can be read as a standalone, but book 1 was just such a fun read that I really hope you give it a try!) and if you loved it, then come back and read book 2 because AHHHHH its so goood!

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved this book. I've been waiting and watching for this book to come out ever since I finished the first book in this series (Royal Date). Sariah Wilson just nails it. For me, anyway.
This book has all the things I absolutely love in a romance. Romantic tension- oh boy was there romantic tension. The attraction was driving ME crazy! The witty dialogue and laugh out loud funny moments- there were so many of those. I loved Lemon's sense of humor. And the kissing? Um, yeah. It was good. Good may be an understatement. A very powerful understatement. Even the not kissing but close to kissing scenes were off the charts. Yum.
This is set up as a reality dating show. Much like the Bachelor. It was the main setting, but that never overshadowed the personal fireworks going on between Dante and Lemon. I dare you not to fall in love with Dante. That man has some lines and some moves. Of course, it helps to have oodles of money to work with.
This book was so happy to me. I read it through in one day and nothing else got done. It was one of those books for me. I want to go read it again right now.

Wow!
Wow! All I can say is that i loved the book. I loved it as much as the first. I really couldn't choose if I had to. I am so excited to learn there will be a another story. The author is one of my favorite! All I can say is... love!!!
Wow! All I can say is that i loved the book. I loved it as much as the first. I really couldn't choose if I had to. I am so excited to learn there will be a another story. The author is one of my favorite! All I can say is... love!!!

A very entertaining read! I loved both Lemon and Dante. Lemon was so funny and her determination not to be charmed by Dante was endearing. Dante's determination to win Lemon over and show her he wasn't the womanizing man she thinks he is was swoon worthy. I found the book's spoof on "The Bachelor" so fun and the other women on the show made the story!
This is the first book I've read by this author but I will definitely be reading more. I highly recommend this one.

Very cute premise for a book, the climax did not disappoint, totally did not see that coming. Lemon and Dante were fun characters, just wished she didn't judge him throughout the whole book on what she thought she knew.
Moral Note: Some brief mild language, lots of passionate kissing, lots of innuendos, talk of sex before marriage, and some almost going there, nothing graphic, but it's in there. No violence.

I loved Lemon and Dante's story! The first book in the series was wonderful, and this installment was another winner! I loved the romance and the royalty! Fairytales are every girl's dream. I love how the writer makes the stories in this series modern and realistic. This is a cute romance and I highly recommend it for anyone who dreams of a happily ever after. The twists in the plot were unforeseen and creative. Four glittery stars!

Fun romance
I would love to say this is a sweet romance, but with as many times as casual sex and cheating is discussed, I can't. Thankfully no description, but it was still too much for me. I loved the storyline and I was shocked about the ending! What?!? I loved the characters!

I really liked the book. It has everything I expect from a story like this : romance, some funny parts, misunderstandings, a bad guy or girl, some sadness and a lot of happy feelings.
I am looking forward to reading the next part and I will go and buy the first part as well. I want to know what happened in the past and am curious about what is going to happen next.

I really loved this book!! Dante is amazing!! Lemon kind of drove me crazy though. How could she pretend that her first boyfriend was a good decent guy?!?!?! It bugged me how she flipped at the end. She was being so irrational I wanted to slap some sense into her!

I listened to the audio version, which comes free with Kindle Unlimited! I want to say THANK YOU to the author for making this available! The story is fun and the narrator does a fantastic job.
Lemon has her first big public relations gig - a reality show her friend Prince Dante will be on, similar to The Bachelor. Several plot twists occur on the show (and in the book), as well as a lot of questions that kept me reading to figure out what happens. Lemon has spunk and is funny. Really cute story. More PG-13 with the innuendo.
My favorite I've read so far is "Royal Games," #3 in the series, though each book can stand alone.

Royal chase is the next installment in the Royals of Monterra series for which I received an early release Arc from Netgalley in exchange for a review. Royal Chase is Dante and Lemon's story. Lemon and Dante are already well acquainted with each other and have actually become close friends. They appear to have strong romantic feelings for each other that we see Dante pursuing and Lemon pulling back because her fears about him are based on his terrible reputation in the media for being a womanizer. But, Lemon has been hired as the PR person for the Royals of Monterra and as such has gotten Dante involved in a search for a wife on a reality show being filmed in Los Angeles. She is there to protect his interests and control the release of information about the royal family. The show starts off with it being a secret that Dante is a royal prince. When it is apparent one of the girls vying for the role as Dante's princess knows that he is a princess and she is not shy about sharing the information which will ruin the theme of the show she is removed from the contestant list and sent home. Unfortunately, she has told two other contestants and now the show will not have the typical 25 contestants. It is about to begin recording within the next couple of hours and there is not enough time to find another contestant for the show and Lemon is sitting right there available but newly engaged.
As the show moves forward Dante goes through the dating regime for the show with the different contestants and the women are sequestered in a mansion where the filming covers how they relate to each other. Lemon Beauchamp, that's who. When vacationing in the kingdom on Monterra, Lemon and her best friend, Kat met the royal family. Kat and Prince Nicco eventually fell in love. Lemon and Prince Dante felt drawn to one another, but Lemon kept pushing him away.
Now as part of a PR campaign for the royal family, Dante is on a reality tv dating show. When a contestant is eliminated at the last minute, Lemon is forced to step in. Can Dante win her over or will her insecurities keep them apart?
I loved this! I loved the characters. Dante was funny, flirty, and sweet, and Lemon had spunk! I loved her southern expressions, and her loyalty, once won. She had been hurt in the past, and made her decisions based on that fear, but it made her seem more human. Even though, at times I wanted to shake her, I was also cheering her on, and excited for every bit of growth she experienced.
I thought I knew what I was getting when I picked up this book, but I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns to the plot. I also loved the ending.
While Royal Chase can be read independently, I would recommend reading the first book, Royal Date, first. Besides, you wouldn't want to miss Kat and Nicco's story.
I recommend this book to fans of royalty, reality dating shows, clever dialogue, and clean romance.

What a cute quick read. Sariah Wilson kept me entertained from start to finish. However, I wish I would have read Royal Date, just to have some background about these royal hotties.
I really felt the emotions in this book, and LOVED, absolutely LOVED Lemon. I really connected with her on a personal level as I have been in the same kind of predicament. It is very difficult to have your heart say one thing, but your brain is slow to catch up. Lemon also had several aw-ha moments, and this was clearly defined within the story. Her character was well written.
Dante, sign me up to be on a TV show vying for his attention. I didn't know what he wanted to begin with, but it quickly became apparent that he only had eyes for Lemon.
Will you want to scream at the heroine? Yes
Will you want to slap the crap out of her? Yes
Do I recommend this book? Absolutely!
Not only will this book entertain you like it did me, but you will start stalking the author to see if Rafe (Dante's identical twin) will get his happy-ever-after. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Wilson.

CAN'T FINISHED. I picked up this book, completely forgetting the fact that I already blacklisted it when it came out earlier. The heroine's engaged while she was busy romancing the Hero. Sigh. I hate cheating characters -- be it the Hero or the heroine.
I completely enjoyed the third book and I even finished it in one sitting. There's a lot of recap scenes with Lemon in it, so I figured could give this Lemon's book a try. Now I wish I didn't.
It's not just Lemon, to be honest. Our Hero, Dante is so unlikable. There's just something about him that just feels.... off. He has zero clue on what boundaries is -- I mean that girl is engaged, wtf. Idc if her fiancee is inattentive to her, it doesn't change the fact that she's attached.
I think this book would have worked on me if the heroine/Hero were less cringe-worthy and if they were clear on the ~boundaries~ Some lines you just can't cross.

I almost loved this one as much as the first and that my friends is a huge compliment!!! This book is a true example of a sequel done right. I wondered how the author was going to have Dante and Lemon have moments together even though she was engaged. I thought it was super creative and fun to read. I loved this book! But honestly Dante won my reading heart from the start. I love hilarious leading men.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that Lemon was engaged for all of the book. To someone else. Her and Dante didn't cheat physically but I think cheating of the heart isn't cool either. It didn't ruin the book for me or anything like that. I just couldn't quite love it as much as the first because of it. But let me be clear I did love it.
If you haven't read the first book in this series, please stop what you're doing and read it!!

This is the second book in The Royals of Monterra series. Lemon and Dante were characters in the first book of the series, which I enjoyed a lot. I was really looking forward to their story in this book but although I loved the characters, I felt this book dragged just a little. Dante is so sweet and endearing when he speaks to her and always concerned for her well-being, but Lemon continually expects the worst from him even though he doesn't deserve it and she always pushes him away. He is a true fairy tale prince right to the end where he finally gets his HEA. I hope book three, featuring Dante's twin brother Rafe, will be a little more lively than this one.

After reading Royal Date and loving it, I had high hopes for this book, and it not only did not disappoint me, it set the bar even higher! The story was highly entertaining, and the chemistry between Dante and Lemon was scorching hot, yet the story was a clean romance! There were a lot of twists in this Bachelor lookalike story, and they were very unique! I liked that we got to learn more about Lemon, and saw her make a new friend in Genesis. I also enjoyed seeing the updates on Nico and Kat's romance. All in all, this is a great romance story, and one I highly recommend!

I like this book it had all the Cinderella romance that I absolutely adore. The writing was well done and the pace was not bad. I found my self sighing over Dante and laughing at some hilarious moments lolz I am not very good at expressing myself though writing but I have to say I loved this book I would totally recommend it for all those who love HEA endings and hot Mediterranean princes.

I seriously love this author! She does such a great job telling a swoon-worthy love story, and yet makes me giggle the entire time with her witty dialogue and hilarious first person perspective. It's a sequel to her book, Royal Date, and even though you don't have to, I would recommend reading that one first. Both are such excellent books!!!

What a fun book! I've never watched The Bachelor or the Bachelorette, but I really seem to love books that have that theme in them! I loved Dante and Lemon, and I can't wait to read Rafe's story next!

4.25 stars! How I loved this book!! It is so fun and cute and romantic and just enough drama to keep it interesting throughout. I love the tension and romance between Lemon and Dante.
