As a student of WWII, this book solved many of the questions I have had over the years such as what happened to the commanders and what happened to the U Boats after the war. The author brings to life the real personalities of Donitz and many of the commanders who ran the U Boats. I recommend this book to anyone who has the same interest in the German U Boat culture as I have had.
A very good look into the commanders of the U-Bootwaffe. Well-written and entertaining. Doesn't go into great depth on the subject and is much more of a general overview. Regardless, excellent.
