I felt like I was watching a school play. Not good enough for a standing ovation, but you've got to applaud the enthusiasm.

It was a pretty typical, she had my baby but didn't tell me until years later novel, when I confronted her type thing. I actually thought it was fairly decent, after being done about a million times. I've read far worse.

An author I have always loved.

And... This is a kind of book that reaffirms my faith in the author.

Though I'm not supposed to appreciate books with a secret or surprise child, this was a decent read.

Sapphie Benedict and Rik Prince had one night after the wedding where her ex fiance married her half sister (Rik's "true" love). She doesn't tell him about the pregnancy and it is now 5 years later.

What is it about Sapphie that ties Rik Prince up in knots? Sure she's gorgeous, but she chaffs at his ego and she's been blunt in her insistence that she wants nothing to do with him. Sapphie's protecting her young son from heartache. Five years before, Rik hadn't cared about consequences of their night of passion, and now that he's made an appearance again in her life, Sapphie is determined to keep him away. While the conflict in this one is rather weak, these two strong characters make this a delightful read.
