SMALL TOWN TERROR by author Kathryn J. Bain is the 2nd of a 3-book suspense trilogy, a short story of approximately 70 pages featuring the return of K T Morgan, introduced in the 1st book. I loved this book even more than the first book

Even though these short stories can be read as a standalone, I would suggest that they be read in order to gain a better depth and understanding of the characters.

So our old friend, K T Morgan, an ex-Marine, has returned in this book travelling alone with her guns

This is the 2nd of a 3-book trilogy featuring K T Morgan. Not much is known about KT, other than she travels alone with a gun or two. She was a Marine. She has a on scar on her body and has had her nose broken twice. He husband and son are deceased. Trouble seems to find her wherever she goes.

K T winds up in a very small town, one on its last breath. Liz, who is 8 months pregnant, runs a small diner, her husband Billy runs the garage. When K T makes it to town, Billie takes a look. He can fix it

Tension right from the page one. Then. KT Morgan's car breaks down in Bisby, a small town in North Carolina.

Drama unfolds. Three men head to Bisby with murder on their agenda. (I could hear the creepy terror music in the background.)

KT Morgan is cool cold under pressure. The antagonists were even colder. Or coming up against KT, were they?

What a story. A lot packed into few words. Through Liz, I felt fear. Though KT, I felt hope.

What a story. I loved it. Looking forward to the next one.

So KT is on the move-again! This time down to the, what in the world is she gonna find in the back bergs of N Carolina??
Ain't nothin growed there but trees, weeds, and some back in the woods small towns!! Or is it really??( Downhome backwoods kinda talk!😄)
So her car really does break down like in the middle of nowhere. She rolls into a small "ghost town" of a town.. Mechanic tells her can't get the needed part for at least a day...soooo, shop owner offers her a place to crash-hi

This is the second in a series featuring KT Morgan. We learn a little more about this character in this book, although she still has secrets not revealed here. Kathryn Bain's characterization skills shine through in this short story set in a small town in North Carolina. Tension runs high as three madmen take citizens hostage and cause no small amount of terror in their victims.

I thought the first story in the series (The Visitor) was somewhat more engaging, but this one was also interesting if

I thought this was the best yet by this author - absolutely intriguing. I literally did not stop reading once I read the first page. The plot and the characters get you involved and keep your interest to the end. The paths you follow build and the ultimate meeting of all the characters is suspenseful and well-done. KT Morgan is an interesting character and hopefully there will be more of her in the future.

K.T.,the cool headed female is at it again
She lands in a small town and has to stay to fix her water pump.
She is present when three men enter the diner intent on murder and mayhem but they don't expect the cool K.T.
I loved the suspense in the book and learning a little more about K.T.
I look forward to more by this author and am thankful for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
